"Well I see everyone is here. But are we going to make a treaty or something like a party?"

"No couchenn for me at this moment, thank you.
Very well, captain Sanchez, that is settled then.  You may stay at this historical moment for both Starfleet and the Corporation, and witness the birth of our new alliance.
And also, I believe that Mr. Keriadoc intended to travel back to Corporation space with Mr. Enoch, aboard the USS Evolution?"

*brings Councelor Keriadoc a Klingon beer*
"Yes, I'm certainly curious what gifts life has to give me... and what life will become like for me from now on."

"Yes, Mr Enoch, you come with me. Time to go. I have many things to do, on Deska.

Thank you, Admiral Vorak, it was nice to meet you. *salutes the Admiral* I hope, THIS TIME, StarFleet will draw a line between two Worlds : StarFleet and the Corporation. Do not forget you are welcome and invited in Deska City for the Official Ceremony. Okay?"
*And Ristran Keriadoc, Senior Brigadier Counsellor of the Corporation walks to the Embassy Exit..... hastely.*

///That will be a mess to arrange things on Deska. Strange idea from the Majors to have chosen Deska City for the Officialisation of the Treaty. Bah! It's life, right?///
*Enters the transporter room*

The doors open.

"H-hips-ere it is, Mr. Keriadoc.  As you can see, it is quite empty here.  But certainly, we can fi-hips-ill that."

"Most certainly, let me handle the foods and drinks for all of you. Yes, admiral you too can sit down, no need for you to run around "
He goes to the food replicator and prepars some meals.

"In my people, Mr Montrell and Mr Sanchez, we are used to treat SERIOUS things by doing also a party. It is called the Balance, if you understand what I mean. I'm not drunk at all and I will only be when the serious part will be done. ///And, sooner the party, best it will be. Too much bad news and too much stress, it's not good for my nerves....///"
*With that, Senior Counsellor Keriadoc takes some pills from his strange grey coat and offers one to Admiral Vorak.*
"This will help you not to feel the bad side of the Chouchenn."

"And I am all packed and set, ready for departure whenever that may be . I don't know what my orders will be yet, but I will do my very best not to fail the Corporation, because its an honour for me no less!" he said while he brought some food to the table.
"Here is your Bolian coffee, admiral, and these plates are a variety of food... Earth food, Vulcan food, some gagh that is still alive as the Klingons prefer it, for those who want... Would anyone like some more couchenn?"

"I have a profile for the treaty on Starfleet's side for you here, Mr. Keriadoc:
- Starfleet will render help to the Corporation when necessary, and if possible
- Starfleet will keep open communication with the Corporation
- Starfleet will share information with the Corporation to inform them about possible threats, dangers and other situations
- Starfleet will make scientific information available if this benefits a research necessary for the Corporation
- Starfleet and the Corporation will keep periodical meetings to evaluate the alliance and discuss how it can be improved and strengthened.

Is that acceptable by you, Mr. Keriadoc?"

"Aye, admiral. Thank you for letting me know. I will prepare my crew and inform them, and carefully choose a new first officer."
*he turns to Councelor Keriadoc*
"Sir, it is a honour to be working together with you. Whenever you are ready to join me on the U.S.S. Evolution, let me know and we'll beam you over."
*And he left the Embassy to beam back to the USS Evolution*

"I am certain that the USS Evolution will prove its strength. I have not chosen this ship for its technical capacities only, but for the crew that keeps it going. Its officers are very commendable to say the least, Mr. Keriadoc, and I could think of no better to undertake such a first unusual mission alongside the Corporation. I have every trust that they will handle it well."

"There is a transporter facility here in the Embassy itself, Councellor. Perhaps you may find that unusual, but it has been built here for the convenience when we have high placed officials and ambassadors that do not wish to walk all the way from Ops to the Embassy first."

OFF: and the Evolution forum can be found under Starfleet Divisions > Avalon Division > USS Evolution forum. A topic has already been opened there (mission 4).

*What is wrong with the admiral? He only had one glass of Couchenn, I can drink a whole bottle if I'm in the mood!  Well, I better help out here before he stumbles against something... again*

"Not here, admiral, the control panel is over here.  Yes, here are the buttons to make official treaty recordings into the computer database.  Very good, admiral."

"Ahem, for me a Bolian coffee, please Mr. Enoch." *takes a deep breath* "So, where shall we start with the treaty?"

The captain is a bit surprised.  This is an unusual situation indeed.  Being in a particular sector of space and the nebula where communication range with Starfleet will sometimes be difficult, and be surrounded by only Corporation officers and ships.
But then again, as unusual as it is, it is also a challenge, and he has seen during the repairs that the Corporation means something. Those people work efficiently, they have technology beyond his dreams... surely it must prove worthy to work together with them! And Sanchez begins to look forward to this alliance already...

"I would be honoured to take on such a mission, admiral, and councelor.  And I am certain that I also speak for my whole crew on this."

*slips in quietly*

My apologies for my late arrival.  I am fasicnated by the speed your enginers make repairs Mr Kerriadoc.

*snickers at Vorak* how's the head

"Uhhhh, uhhhh.... Mwell, that's really more than acceptable, from your part, Admiral Vorak. Really. Thank you. Huuummmmm.... *thinks about the Corporation Part of the Treaty.... and checks Procedures in his Padd.*
Very well. Here are the proposals of the Treaty from the Corporation :
- Corporation will share every informations and technical facilities with StarFleet
- Corporation will continue to perform StarFleet Ships and Freighters. (Your Lancelot Freighter, bye example, as noticed in Revanche's Datas, needs some inprovments)
- Corporation will develop more links with StarFleet and grants Embassy on Deska
- Corporation will send a Ship to Avalon as a "Share Ship". It means that this Ship will have StarFleet Officers and Corporation Officers on it.
- The Corporation will open immediately all their Markets for the need of StarFleet Avalon Ships, Base and Personal.

The rest will be decided by our Major Seniors.

I'm ready to plug my padd to your comm modules and send my Signature and the Part of the Treaty to your Databases, Admiral."

"That is most gracious of you, Mr. Keriadoc.  I am most pleased with the result of this negotiation. It may have taken a long time before it would take place, but it was worth the wait. I gladly sign this treaty."

And Vorak pushes some buttons to sign the treaty.

"Computer, declare my signature on voice recognition and authorisation Vorak Alpha 524 Delta."

Computer: "Recognised and authorised."

"Very well, sign the currently open treaty in my name."

Computer: "Treaty signed. Procedure completed."

Vorak turns to watch Mr. Keriadoc and awaits his signature.

"Is there anyone who wants to have some more food or drinks? Geez, first I'm a merchant, now I'm a waiter, and tomorrow I'll be a captain. How life can evolve!"

*Finishes his beer hastely.*
"Okay!!! Now that is done, let's go to Deska, then. Where do we report to leave Avalon Station, please? I mean : where to join the USS Evolution?"
*grabs the last bottle of Chouchenn and put it in one pocket of his strange grey coat.*

Vorak leaves the Embassy and closes the room behind him, hoping it will soon become more active again when new personell can be recruted for the Embassy.

The doors open again and captain Sanchez walks into the Embassy.

"Wow, I haven't seen this place SO crowded ever, even when the station still had ambassadors alive! Ahem... oops, that was a bit cruel, my apologies.  Either way, you called for me?"

"Ahem... could anyone tell me please why I am supposed to be here?  This seems to be an important moment, but I don't know what is the reason for my presence. Could someone enlighten me?"

*Vorak eyes the pill suspiciously, thinking that it is illogical for a Vulcan to do so, but then again, this Vulcan was under influence of Couchenn, and so Vorak decides to trust his new ally on this too and accepts the pill*

"Thank you, councelor. The effect works quite fast, I notice.  My... hickups... appear to be gone instantly.
So, Captain Sanchez, let me start by explaining you why you are here.
We are about to sign a treaty between Starfleet and the Corporation. A treaty of alliance.  As you have seen, they have offered us help beyond repay, and so we will assist them too, from now on, wherever they need it. The Corporation has suffered quite some damage and loss with the Metatraxi attacks.
When  this treaty is signed, and the... party... has been completed, you will be ordered to take the U.S.S. Evolution INTO the nebula, and head toward Corporation space.  From that point, your main order is to work as closely with the Corporation as possible, assist them in all things, as Councelor Keriadoc or his Corporation seniors see necessary.
I know, Mr. Sanchez, that this is an unusual situation. You are used to take orders from me and Starfleet, and you still do, but my order to you now is to take orders from the Corporation as soon as you embark on that mission.  This way, I hope, we may improve contact between Starfleet and the Corporation seriously."

"Heheheheheh! Klingon cooking. I like Klingon cooking... Baghol, yummmm! Yes, thank you, Mr Enoch, one more glass of this millesim. It's perfect for such an event!

Yes, Admiral Vorak, I will be glad to be on the USS Evolution with Mr Sanchez and Mr Enoch. That will ease my task....

*grabs suddenldy his padd, opens the upper part of it to reveal one screen and a multistandard connexion. Then he activates a special software....*

I'm ready to share the Peace Treaty with my padd and give you my signature. How do we process, now?"
*And he grabs a plate full of Klingon food.*

"But we will never give him any Couchenn anymore, it's dangerous "

*Ristran smiles and nodds. He swallows a glass of chouchenn, grabs some food and initiate his comms module.*

*Smiles a bit and contemplates the last bottle of Hydromel...*

*Looks at Admiral Vorak*
"Then, it will be time for leaving. I hope the USS Evolution is strong enough and fast enough to travel through the Nebula. We could risk to meet "unfriendly" beings.... IF you wee what I mean....."

"Will I go with you on the USS Evolution to Corporation space, Mr. Keriadoc?"

"Live long and prosper, councellor. And I believe this would be a human expression... 'may the winds be at your back'. I will certainly hold you to your invitation."

*And he pushes the buttons to dematerialize Councellor Keriadoc and Enoch to the USS Evolution*

*Takes his head in one hand...*
///Maybe I should have avoided drinking four Rom Ales before coming in Avalon. The melange is not really adequate.///
*Goes to the Table and sits down, putting all the bottles on it and opening one.*

"I believe his... head is fine, admiral. Councelor Keriadoc gave him something that would neutralise the effect, and Enoch gave him a Bolian coffee, so I'm sure he will be fine now."

"Most acceptable.  I believe I shall have some Plomeek Soup. Mr. Sanchez, you may return to your ship now, and brief your crew on the new mission status at hand.
And also, captain Sanchez, I received orders from Starfleet Command on Earth. Your first officer, commander Schmidt, is to be transferred back to Earth. You may choose yourself a new first officer."
