Sir, when I said Romulan and Traquil those were just examples. I am saying we start comparing her language with all the other languages on our data base with heres to see if we can find any similarities or maybe we could communicate with here by using some sort of body language or maybe even a pictorial language. Oh and Sir, have you ran any medical stats on her?

Sir, it may be possible for us to record some her dialoge and have the computer or Hermes translate it and I dentify what language it is. Or we can find a language she migh understand by speaking to her in for example Romulan or Traquil.

The fact that the universal translater would also already have been able to at least partially translate the language, by trying to find some repetitive pattern, indicates that this must be an unusual complicated language. Maybe direct communications with the creature will be more succesfull. Perhaps we should give it a padd and see if it can write text on it."

The being approaches him slowly, still low to the ground. She sniffs the soft substance in his hand.
"Rrreeeedddd."
She snatches at the bread, but it simply tears in half. She scuttles over to a nearby wall and shoves the slice in her mouth. She chews it, surprisingly as a human would, but is quick to spit it on the floor, making the face a child would to a food it didn't like. The soggy lump is left lying on the floor near the wall.
