*...I grab another glass and I walk over to the being and sit as close as I can to her with out her feeling threatend and I poor some of the water in my hands and let it spill to the floor...*

*... I sip the water...*

*...I wait to see her reaction...*

Reed walks slowly behind the Science officer. keeping out of sight were possible. A scanner in hand.

[Embries]

*Embries listens to the announcement, and sighs.*
"So the moment has come, then. It is time to get to work."
*He leaves the science department and heads to Avalon Station Ops.*

[Hermes]

"Welcome Major Embries, I hope you don't find the mess in your department annotiying. There was, unfortunately no time to schedule a cleaning. If you need anything, do not hesitate to ask, you can always ask Hermes your helping hand in difficult situations."

[Hermes]

"Do you wish me to be listening then, Mr. Eric?"

[Vonter Nek Gente]

*Walks into the office*
"Ahhh Major Embries, i am Major Vonter Nek Gente the Chief Medical Officer on this station, you may call me Vonter if you wish. Just thought i should pop in and say hello"
*Smiles*

[Vorlok]

Off: I dunno

[Mike Nickerson]

"I think I might have something here. Lemme try it..."

He speaks into the tricorder.

"Hello. We are friends. What is your name?"

The tricorder processes for a moment, then seems to almost speak.

"Ot majilka rilnetre. Hege fafrenidt gijnia."

(OFF: I spent 5 minutes making up that alien phrase...)

[Embries]

"Hmm... her physiology may be too different, and she may require entirely different food. Maybe we should attempt to communicate with her again. Let's try the padd idea once more."
*He carefully takes one step into the direction of the being, and points at the padd he is holding.*
"Read. Text."
*Then he puts the padd down on the floor, a few meters away from her, in the middle of the lab, and takes a few steps back. The padd is laying freely on the ground, waiting for her to grab it.*

*The being loses interest in the young scientist almost immediately. She takes the ball in hand and heaves it towards his head, pegging him in the eye. As he is perplexed for the moment, she escapes on two legs out the door.*

This is Flag Admiral Vorak speaking. Avalon Station is about to be attacked by the Na'jigat, a species existing of pure mental energy, practically impossible to defeat. We are in a condition of war. All Starfleet personnel is required to take battle stations, including those off-duty. Civilians are requested to find a safe place on the station, and those with some Starfleet experience may report to Station Ops to have a duty assigned.

"Hmm... yes. Oh well, I better get this place nice and clean again first, before I start my work. Clearly, nobody has been here for quite some time. Hermes, what happened here before this place was.... deserted? Who ran the place, and what projects were running?"

[Eric]

"Ah yes indeed that would probably be a good course of action... never hurts to have security around.... By the way on another note what do you think of this blasted AI Computer system..  Drives me bloody nuts if you ask me.  I bet it is evening listening to what we are saying right now...."

[Embries]

*Embries looks up suddenly, as if wakening from a deep trance-like concentration on his science project.*
"Oh, greetings, doctor. Welcome, come in, come in. I'm sorry if it's a bit of a mess here still, I haven't had the time to clean everything up as it should be. Nice to meet you by the way."
