Aariya Sayuri

She couldn't help but laugh a little. "Well, you're quite correct. My father was a diplomat. He specialized in trade agreements between governments, factions, and alliances. At times he got himself into things that weren't entirely above board, even if he didn't realize it until it was.. too late. I'm sure you arleady knew that much, though.." She trailed off for a moment. "My mother.. was a casualty of one such incident, and her file has been classified due to the gritty details. I'm sure you already knew that, too.."

"As for your last question.." she paused once more, choosing her words carefully. "well, let's just say that I've been keeping a low profile and keep it at that, shall we?" She laughed once more. "Even someone who loves her job as much as I do needs a break once in a while. I'm sure you can understand.."

<Ready room>

"Please sit, I like to know something about new crew members who come onboard and I just got around to you.  I want to know something about you." Simon asked probingly.

<Simon pushed a few buttons and the room silently went into privacy mode>

Richerd only smiled. "Well, it helped my choice that he was boosting about being the best in some holo game, dealing with strength... so I picked the best one to help me move the entire Mortar equipment without any anti grave sleds... seems I bruised his ego a little." He smiled. He lowered his voice. "I think I might have found a future captain for Bravo.. but I am not saying anything else." Meaning... the reason why he was giving the Private special attention was because he saw leader quality, raw at the moment but still, he liked the attitude of the Private.

=/\="Richards to Bridge. I'm at the EPS Conduits *static* Deck Fou*****Sensors fif*****cent operational. Trying to repair**********nications."=/\=

Tom began rewiring the systems behind the panel he was working at, trying to get at least internal communications working temporarily. He had to hot-wire the thing to send his last message, and got a few burns on his hands and face from sparks for his troubles. Finally, he managed to replace the completely wrecked systems with some workable ones from other, now useless systems. =/\="Captain. Internal Communications are back online, though there are sections of the ship where the signal won't reach due to the damaged systems. I'm going to head over to the long range communications and subspace relay, I may be able to get them functional, as I believe some new parts were stowed in Cargo Bay Four before our departure for various systems.

"Also, Sir I found out something while trying to get sensors operational. Some of the systems such as internal force fields read as working on our consoles when they actually don't. If we can, we need to get an engineer on them right away. Richards out"=/\=

Tom stood up quickly, and then grasped his head. He needed to remember to take it slower until he could find a doctor to patch him up, else his head will feel like it is now - his brain trying to escape through his forehead and temples. Leaning on the wall for support, Tom waited for the pain to die down.

Then he moved off towards the jeffreys tube.

(OFF:Trying not too? their are elites in this bunch?.  Otherwise HK will get over heated and have to break off soon.))

<HK felt his body was starting to feel heated up, he didnt go this long without needing time to recharge his body and shields, so he quickly broke off and jumped straight up as his legs acted like twin pistons shooting him up onto the nearest ledge, then took out a plasma pistol and started to shoot using the ledge a natural cover>

As the battered deflector dish began charging in it's damaged state, if began to glow. At first just a subtle light, but it gradually built up to a brilliantly bright blue glow. A slight humming could be heard from anyone close enough to it.

As soon as his sensors showed all the Marines inside, the ones right near the dish among them, Tom's eyes flicked back to the readings on the panel infront of him. "Ten seconds!" he warned, as a few sparks shot out from the dish outside as it strained to hold less power than it would have for normal operating.

When he knew that the deflector had charged as much as it was capable, he ran the commands to run an override in it's systems, putting all of that power into the currently inactive shields at once.

There was sudden silence outside for a split second. Then a thunderous wave of blue energy expanded rapidly out from the ship, pushing everything with it - Heraan soldiers, corpses - both Heraan and Federation - rocks, discarded weapons, wreckage from the ship itself. Each and every one of them was thrown back, with no chance of resisting, until the deflectors burnt out, completely inoperable now. The Heraan, however, were now on the floor - disorientated, and without the charge, momentum and advantage they had only moments ago.

John Moore

"Raszagal, we have a few Betazoids here like myself. Is there any way that you could teach us to detect their thoughts? Or at least block them from making themselves unnoticeable to us?"

Voyager

Dolan decided that he shouldn't mention he had seem things go far more extreme than Balkazar was going now.  He was also sure that the Federation would not sentence anyone to death.  He didn't even recall the last time a death sentence had occured.

Dolan understood silencing orders too well for his comfort and decided to follow these orders, however insane they were.

"Well, Colonel, I was creating a prototype phaser bank design in Cargo Bay 1 before going to the bridge and then we..." Dolan hesistated, unsure if the robot and the woman nearby knew about the Omega Directive, before continuing, "...were diverted from our original course and came here.  It had its own power source and was planned to have its own shielding, automated firing, and several other improvements.  If it survived the crash, I could finish building it and, with some help from any one with programming experience, can finish the phaser bank's programming.  We could then deploy it on the other side of the Heraani ship, provided we can salvage deuterium from the Lothlorien's warp core or any of its fusion reactors to power the phaser bank.  From whereever it is deployed, the phaser bank will begin firing on the ship, where would depend on how it is programmed or if we have time to create a console that allows us to select an area of the ship.  If they have any sense of self-preservation, they will focus their ship's weapons on it and possibly send some soldiers to deal with it.  If we place the phaser bank in a easily defended position, marine casualties should be minimal, depending on if the phaser bank is then focused on the approaching Heraan or maintained on the ship.  While the Heraan are distracted with the phaser bank, a team of marines could storm the ship.  Depending on what condition my phaser design is found in, the parts we can salvage - thank goodness I replicated all of the needed materials before leaving - the amount of personnel able to help, the amount of coding we need, and where we decide to place it, it may take anywhere from several hours to maybe even a week, if we have to do everything from scratch.  However, there is a major flaw with any plan to take the Heraani ship - they might just leave the planet if they come under attack."

Dolan hoped that his rambling was somewhat comprehendable and that the Colonel realized that it depended on a lot of "ifs".

"Interesting, im a droid who feels nothing and doesnt even know the meaning of a joke.  Im only stating the obvious.  So your rage isnt part of your attraction to my hunk of metal self then I take it? Hmmmmm, very well.  Humans tend to like to assist each other, so since you spent so much time with the humans in your younger years then you would know they protect each other even if the other person gets mad.  Im only doing the same thing that I have seen from my Marine brethren.  But such attention to myself with your wonderful power would suggest a mating ritual attempt." HK said as he left the room to report back to the Col.

Voyager

Dolan raised an eyebrow, confused.

"I don't really see how that would work, especially since no one here has a coin and the lack of gravity would result in the coin never landing.  And how would flipping a coin help us?"

"Alright thats enough!" Rajnus breathed heavily as their was not alot of air left.  "Whats the status o....o.....o......on, the......" was all he could say before he had to sit down unable to think straight.

Raszagal

Raszagal tapped a few commands on the alien control console, and the message was sent, already translated into Federation Standard for the benefit of the ops officers there.

"I've given them the signature of our pulse beacon, they'll see us coming."

Tom nodded silently. He'd run a sensor sweep after the briefing, double-check the computer's initial readings. For now, he sat back and listened quietly to the rest of the briefing.

HK47

<As the soldiers passed by HK waited till the last 12 passed threw and then jumped down with his arm blades activate and decapitated the unfortunate soldiers of their heads, 4 heads now laid on the ground as HK went into a literal windmill striking every direction, slashing, peircing, bashing, with his swords and feet.  Pushing the bodies away as several of the soldiers who did pass started to charge HK but were met with a wall of striking steel.  Blood flying everywhere as the ground began to be churned up from HK's feet as he charged forward.  Even though he was a mere machine it was as if he enjoying himself to an extreme as blood flew everywhere>
