Dolan was shocked at the lengths the Colonel was willing to go to take control of the Heraani ship.

"Colonel, I highly doubt even Section 31 of Article 14 of the Starfleet Charter allows for the use of flesh-eating pathogens.  And nanites would most likely take too long to develop and deploy, not to mention test."

Raszagal

"No, sir, but orders are orders."

Raszagal

Raszagal took a look at the chief's translator program, and after a few minutes of perusing the syntax guide and conjunction tables, she tapped her commbadge.

"Ensign Dar'Nas, I have to commend you on your translation matrix. However, there are a couple of discrepancies in some of the verb conjugation and syntax tables. Let me see if I can't tweak it a little. It's a complex language, makes Federation Standard look like two-plus-two."

John Moore

<USS Lothlorien, Marine deck>

"Men, here is where we show those split-chinned squid-headed sons of bitches that they could not have picked a worse enemy than the Federation. We are going to blow the hell out of those dumb bugs until we don't have anything left to shoot them with. Then we will strangle them with their own living guts! Am I right, Marines?"

  "Hoo-Rah!"

"Mmhmm, damn right I am. NOW GET MOVING! You know the drill, show those flyboys how things are supposed to be done!"

Balkazar

<Marine officer quarters>

"I heard Intel had something like that going awhile back.  But I thought it was a myth but I guess not.  You should have been here for Intel's latest gimmick.  A Rift generator, opened to the wrong plane and hell itself came out and took over the station.  Now we got the generator, destroyed the bad mofo along with the entire station and some of the marines were infected by a symbiotic creature.  From what I can tell, they are the mortal enemies of those things that tried to invade Starfleet command awhile back during Captain Picards earlier mission's.  I guess we both had some interesting times.  So, what area are you planning on taking, Lt. Col?" Balkazar asked Keller.

Thomas Richards

"That would depend entirely on the situation, Sir. If it was for the good of the Federation, or you were going completely rogue, then yes, I would shoot you."
Ensign Thomas Richards
Chief Operations Officer
USS Lothlorien

William Richerd

Richerd was already keeping the eye on the incoming ship. He was to help secure the ship once it finished it planet landing. He just hoped he would survive this mission.

He ducked as a Fighter dove in, "I want anti air cover on those fighters... we cannot afford to be pinned down."

As he ordered a few men unpacked a futuristic and portable anti-air support and began to track one of the enemy fighters, they were going to cover the others as they moved to their bases... They fired one shot which clipped the wing of one of fighters causing it to crash into the ground fifty feet from anyone on the ground.

Raszagal

Raszagal sighed as she pulled the Puma away from the bloody corpses. "Such unsophisticated weaponry," she mumbled.

Dolan was shocked at the attack by Heraani soldiers.  Fortunately for him, he had his phaser rifle off his back and in his hands moments after Powell sounded the alarm.  He opened fire on the charging Heraani and was even more shocked when they didn't falter after being hit several times on the stun setting.  He raised it to kill and was a little relieved when they dropped to the floor, but only unconscious.  He continued to fire continuously at the remaining Heraan along with the marines.  Several of the marines were critically injured but the Heraan attacking them were knocked unconscious before more damage could be done.

IC:
As Dar'Nas's translation program was being uploaded to all of the tricorders, updates pending, there was a sudden lockout by the ship's computer when the first person tried to use it.  A strange voice started speaking over the ship's comm.  Fortunately, the Universal Translator could do verbal translations and Dolan grew worried at the message.

=@= Stage 3 security breach detected.  Hostiles have seized control of critcal areas.  Initiating Emergency Protocol 53 Alpha.  Lockout commencing. =@=

After several minutes, the lockout appeared complete, as the voice spoke up again.

=@= Lockout complete.  Subspace distress call initiated.  Emergency forcefields and bulkheads engaged.  Communications dampening field activated.  Clearance Passwords now encrypted and upgraded to Level 3 and above. =@=

The doors to engineering suddenly closed and were unreachable due to the forcefields that now surrounded them.  Dolan felt he could safely assume the same thing was happening throughout the ship.  He began working on compensating his combadge signal for the dampening field.  However, once he was successful, the voice suddenly came back.

=@= Stage 4 security breach detected.  Hostiles have bypassed several safety measures.  Initiating Initiating Emergency Protocol 53 Gamma.  Ship wide lockout initiated.  Clearance Passwords have been upgraded to Level 4 and above. =@=

Dolan was now extremely worried.  He turned to Raszagal and said, "Now we have to fight a ship...these Heraan really know how to make other people's lives tough, even if they're dead.  So do you have any idea how to get a level 4 or above clearance password?"

Balkazar

"Hes not insulting you, its the way he is.  Its like all the different species you ran into before coming here, were they always the same? doing the same thing? talking the same, walking the same? I dont think so.  HK can be annoying but hes good at what he does and on some lvl, you and him are JUST! alike.  Not one word, Raszagal.  I have seen both of you work together, you may dislike each other and threaten each other but when it comes down to it, your the same and you work well together.  So you will continue to work with him, understood.  Also, take the whole meatbag thing as a compliment.  Hes acknowledging your existence.  By insulting you thats his way of saying 'Hi'.  Or in some cases if you keep calling him rustbucket he will take offense to that.  Treat him like any other person here with the addition of you being called 'Meatbag'.  Is that Understood, Private." Balkazar said trying to calm the situation down.

mimas elfeneye

mimas was abruptly torn from his mental meditation, and found himself behind razagal;

He quickly regained his mind

"why you little....." he closed his eyes, and focussed on the heraan commander.

'... c'mon...' he thought to himself.... 'just one psyonic blast, into his central brain, he must die now, or at least pass out.... just ..... one.... concentrated psyonic blast.... to make... him.... collapse'

<Noticing Dolan coming up and heard him what seemed to Balkazar sounded like a mumble, Balkazar turned his attention from the heraan landing zone which was now obviously being pelted with Mortar's, to Dolan>

"Admiral Yates and Captain Rajnus have been seriously wounded and their back at the crash site with the rest of the Starfleet personel.  Im trying to figure out how to get threw to capture the ship and kill any occupants inside.  HK thinks that he can make up a batch of Flesh Eating pathegon to deal with the occupants, or perhaps Nanites programs to only attack Heraani molecular structure, fired from our weapons." Balkazar said contemplating the idea.

Voyager

Dolan was startled at the announcement, but got ready nevertheless.  He shut down his holoprogram with his experimental phaser design.  He made a note to include a few more heat sinks or to improve the ones already there to increase phaser firing rates.  He then left the holodeck for the bridge.

On his way to the bridge, he wondered what high priority mission the crew would be going on and hoped that it didn't include combat.  From the schematics of the New Orleans class he had seen, they were multi-purpose vessels that had pods that could be filled with the supplies appropriate for the mission.  However, it wasn't especially suited to be a combat vessel though it would be able to hold out on its own for a while.

Shortly after leaving the holodeck, Dolan arrived at the bridge and approached Admiral Yates and General Powell before saluting.

Dolan glanced questioningly at Sayuri, who seemed to know more than she was letting on, before turning to Rajnus.

"I agree with Lt. Sayuri, it resembles the ancient Greek letter Omega and is used in a variety of ways, though mainly for mathmatical and scientific purposes.  I don't really see how it concerns the ship though."
