Alright, you asked for it...

--Star Trek: Insurrection--

Little Kid: Aaaah! There's a creepy mechanical head floating around our village!
Data: Zap! Pow!

Picard: Merde, I hate diplomatic functions. Quick, somebody come up with a contrived emergency so I won't have to dance with this vomit-ugly alien.
Idiot Admiral: Data just weirded out and started shooting up a planet.
Picard: Okay, that'll do.

Riker: Imzadi, I want to get it on with you.
Troi: Yuck!

Picard: Data, you are malfunctioning. Return to the Enterprise at once for repairs.
Data: Zap! Pow!
Picard: If you don't give up immediately, Worf and I will torture you with our singing.
Data: A fate worse than death. Surrender is the only possible choice.

La Forge: Looks like Data got weird because someone shot him. Hey, guys, I've got an idea -- let's all go down to the planet so whoever did it can attack us, too.
Picard: Works for me.
Worf: I'm always ready for a fight. Hey, no fair! That planet is giving me pimples!
Picard: We're all getting younger? Cool. Maybe some of my hair will grow back.

Troi: How about a nice romantic bubble bath with me, Will?
Riker: Okay. You can even shave off my beard if, afterward....
Troi: You know this is a PG-rated movie, so we're going to be interrupted by another pointless plot contrivance.
Riker: Why am I not surprised?

Data: This is where it happened. Hey, look over there, in the lake! A hidden ship with a huge holodeck! Someone must be planning to abduct the villagers!
Anij: (splashing frantically) I can't swim! Help!
Picard: Sorry, my dear, but the Prime Directive won't allow....
(Uh-huh, all you P/C fans wish.)

Idiot Admiral: I'm ordering the Enterprise to return to Earth at once, so that my decrepit new pals here can get rid of the villagers and steal the secret of eternal youth.
Picard: Bite me. No way I'd do that and miss my chance to give a ridiculously melodramatic speech on Federation ethics.

Crusher: Captain, we all know you're going to disobey orders and stay on the planet to protect the villagers, and we wouldn't dream of letting you go into danger alone. (aside) Not a chance I'd leave Jean-Luc alone with that hussy Anij.
Picard: Oo, I'm so touched by your loyalty (sniff).
Data: Why is everyone looking at me? Just because I happen to be an android does not necessarily prevent me from being as stupid as the rest of you.

Ru'afo: Admiral, you know the Enterprise is gonna blow the whistle on us when it gets into communications range. That is, if we let it get that far.
Idiot Admiral: You can't order an attack on a Federation ship!
Ru'afo: Who said anything about attack? Heh heh. We're just gonna distract 'em with a nice friendly game of Tiddlywinks.

Picard: Come on, let's get these villagers up into the mountains where they'll be safe.
Crusher: Uh oh, we're already under attack! The bad guys just blew up one of our transport inhibitors and beamed away several villagers.
Worf: Maybe if we're lucky, the next one they get will be that annoying brat with the cutesy pet.

Picard: Anij, sweetie pie, I know this isn't the best time, and you're older than my great-grandmother, but what the hey, I've been in space much too long. Wanna do the nasty?
Anij: Maybe, but first I have to stupidly let some rocks fall on my head so that you can be a hero and save me.
Picard: Okay. There's a cave over here that's about to collapse. What say we all go inside?

Riker: This really sucks canal water. The Enterprise has just been chased into a nebula by attacking ships. Oh, well, no problem, we can just blow them up by igniting explosive gases. Good thing we all ate plenty of beans for lunch.

Picard: Now that I've saved Anij, she's gonna put out for sure. Oh, crud, the bad guys just got us. Now what do I do?
Anij: How about using your wonderful eloquence to persuade one of them to turn traitor?
Picard: Woo hoo, she must really love me! Even Paramount wouldn't put something that preposterous in the script, now, would they?

Idiot Admiral: This has gone far enough! I refuse to cooperate with your evil plans any longer!
Ru'afo: No problem, Admiral. Ever tried having your face stretched? You'll love it. Bwahahaha! Now there's no one to stop me from destroying this solar system with my particle-collecting gizmo!

Data: With my usual android brilliance, I have successfully accomplished the transportation of the evil Ru'afo to the holo-ship on the planet.
Picard: Woops, Ru'afo just put himself in the particle-collecting gizmo, and we can't shut down the activation sequence by remote control.
Data: You mean I was supposed to destroy the transporters on the holo-ship, too? No fair. Do you expect me to think of everything?
Picard: Looks like I have to beam over to the particle-collecting gizmo myself and save us all before the whole solar system blows up. After all this, Anij had better turn out to be worth the trouble, if you know what I mean.
Data: Not exactly.
Picard: You're fully functional, aren't you? Figure it out.

Ru'afo: Don't even think about setting the gizmo to self-destruct!
Picard: Too late, loser. I already did, and now Worf's going to beam me to safety. Oh, fiddlesticks, the bad guys just grabbed Worf. How frightfully inconvenient.

Riker: What's the range of our transporters?
Transporter Operator: Forty thousand kilometers, sir.
Riker: Okay, when we improbably show up at just the right moment to rescue Picard, let's just whiz right up next to the crumbling whatchamacallit before we beam him away. After all, Captain Geezer could use a bit more excitement in his life.
Transporter Operator: Can do. But what about Ru'afo -- shouldn't we beam him to the brig instead of leaving him to get blown up? Our Federation ethics, and all that?
Riker: Nah. I wanna kill him.

Ru'afo: AAARGHHH!
Picard: You are the weakest link. Goodbye!

Worf: The guys who grabbed me have all decided to surrender. Looks like Klingon body odor is lethal to them.

Picard: Another triumph for the Enterprise. Anij, babe, now that I've had some -- um, I mean, had a wonderful and meaningful romantic interlude with you -- the stars are calling. But I'll be back to visit you when I take my next shore leave.
Anij: Yeah, right. Even I am not stupid enough to believe that.
(The Enterprise begins to blast off; time stops)

THE END

Other Informations / Security Clearances
September 18, 2003, 09:05:44 PM
Security clearances are as follows:

Level 17: Flag Admiral
Level 16: Fleet Admiral
Level 15: Admiral
Level 14: Vice Admiral
Level 13: Rear Admiral
Level 12: Colonel/Commodore (Marine colonels do not apply)
Level 11: Major
Level 10: Captain
Level 9: First Officer
Level 8: Commander
Level 7: Lt. Cmdr.
Level 6: Lieutenant
Level 5: Lieutenant JG
Level 4: Ensign
Level 3: Visiting Ambassadors
Level 2: Crewman
Level 1: Civilians/Visitors

The difference between Commander and First Officer is that the XO of a ship (assuming they are of the rank Commander) has a Level 9 clearance on that ship, but only a Level 8 anywhere else. An exeption is if the XO has a rank lower than Commander. They would then hold Level 9 on the ship of their tenure, but the level of their rank anywhere else. Also, a CO of a ship with a rank of Major or higher, is not constricted byt the Level 10 held by most CO's. They hold the clearance of their rank anywhere they go, unless otherwise directed by Intelligence or an officer of superior rank to the officer in question.

Maybe they do possess it.. just don't allow it?

Federation Type 2 Phaser
The Type 2 phaser is the backbone of any standard away team, and is carried by all security officers onboard a ship/station. It is similar to the Type 3, except it has more power due to it's larger handle, which holds the power pack.

http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a318/admiralkarelia/phasers/phaser.gif" border="0">

Federation Compression Rifle
The Federation Compression Rifle is a large rifle with a dual-pronged head that acts as the accelerator rail for the pulse. The Pulse Rifle has little adaptability, and is suited for less armored enemies, and fails miserably against the Borg. It is not to be taken lightly, however.

http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a318/admiralkarelia/phasers/compression.gif" border="0">

Federation Assault Rifle
The Assault Rifle is a very powerful and versatile weapon used on most tactical away-missions. It has great range, accuracy, and power, fires in short, highly damaging pulses. The rifle is fashioned closely after rifles of 20th and 21st century Earth, ans as such, has a shoulder stock and a small readout on the upper display unit that indicates charge remaining and the damage level the rifle is tuned to.

http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a318/admiralkarelia/phasers/assault.jpg" border="0">

Federation Beam Rifle
The Federation Beam Rifle is the predecessor of the Compression Rifle, and with it's advanced age, is not very widely used. This rifle is mostly only found within the Starfleet Marines, due to it's lightweight design. It has somewhat large power cells, but fires only the traditional beam typical of the Type 2 hand phaser.

http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a318/admiralkarelia/phasers/beam.gif" border="0">

Federation Sniper Rifle
The Sniper Rifle is a offshoot of the Assault Rifle, and is identical is appearance save for the magnification unit on the top of the rifle. The Sniper Rifle fires short bolts of energy, instead of beams or pulses. These bolts are devastatingly powerful, and will vaporize the target instantly. Due to the extreme heat produced, firing more than once every five seconds is not recommended.

Alien Technology Database / Cardinal Virtue
January 28, 2008, 06:04:07 AM
Fleet Admiral Karelia, in 2381, purchased a small vessel from the merchant Enoch, just before his short-lived retirement. The vessel, of unknown origin or construction, was christened the Cardinal Virtue. The vessel is equipped with two tetryon disruptor cannons as it's primary defensive armament, as well as multi-regenerative shielding and a similarly mysterious cloaking device.

The Cardinal Virtue is about 60% larger than a standard Danube-class Federation runabout, and about twice the length of a Delta-class shuttle (Delta Flyer). It has a dedicated engineering compartment, a cargo bay and armory, as well as crew facilities. The vessel, despite it's ability to fit into most Federation shuttle bays, is considered a standalone starship, and is not registered to any one mothership.

From the limited research performed on the vessel, it appears that it was originally used as a blockade runner, due to it's impressive sub-light speeds and agility, as well as a well-sized cargo bay. The vessel was acquired with several minor energy burns on the hull, likely from the defenses of those it was used to steal from. However, under Karelia's care, the vessel has been restored, as well as kept out of danger.

Here is what is known about the vessels capabilities:

Name: Cardinal Virtue

Drive Systems (sublight): Thorium-based impulse boosters
Maximum Speed (sublight): 57,000 KPH

Drive Systems (interstellar): Quantum Slipstream Induction Drive
Maximum Speed (interstellar): Roughly equal to Warp Factor 9.995, about 29,000 times the speed of light. The fastest Starfleet warp drive can achieve Warp Factor 9.99, which is about 7,912 times the speed of light.

Armament: 2 x Tetryon Disruptor Cannon, 1 x Federation Microtorpedo Tube + 25 Quantum Microtorpedoes
Defenses: Multi-regenerative shielding, cloaking device

Active Scan Radius: about 4 AU (600 million kilometers)
Passive Scan Radius: about 1 AU (150 million kilometers)
Basic Scan Radius: about 7.5 LY (7.0956x10^13 kilometers)

Mimimum Crew Capacity: One
Recommended Crew Capacity: Three to five
Maximum Crew Capacity: Twelve
Maximum Passenger Capacity: Thirty

New Species Database / Romulan Coalition
February 09, 2004, 12:17:36 AM
--Tactical Report--
By: Fleet Admiral William Karelia
Re: Romulan Coaltion

Very little is known about the Romulan Coalition, and most of what we do know comes from the Romulan Star Empire, which has been reluctant to give out information about the shady faction.

Coalition History, and their rise to power:

The Romulan Coalition is a tightly bound group of Romulan partisans who strongly opposed the new alliance with the Federation. These partisans began giving public speeches at the beginning of the Dominion War, defaming the Romulan government for allying itself with the Federation and the Klingons. In 2378, when the Romulans and the Federation officially allied with the signing of the Second Treaty of Algeron, the anti-Federation partisans stormed the Imperial Palace and attempted to overthrow the existing Romulan government. The Praetor himself was killed in the riot, and the surviving partisans were exiled from Romulan space. They fled to the galactic north, into the Delta Quadrant, while being chased by Imperial patrols. The partisans then founded the Romulan Coalition, whose capital is a space station that is yet to be located. The Empire, satisfied with it's victory, paid no attention as the Coalition was being formed. The Coalition continued to gain power, seizing parsec after parsec, as the Empire continued to pay no concern. The Coalition raided an undefended, backwater Imperial outpost, which was a turning point in the Coalitions rise to power. The Imperial leaders considered this a tiny matter, and didn't want to take any ships off the Klingon border to deal with the Coalition threat. What the Romulan governmental officials overlooked, however, is that this outpost contained vast amounts of computer knowledge, including detailed blueprints and scematics for the D'Deridex and Valdore Class Warbirds. The Coalition considered this a godsend. With the blueprints at their disposal, the Coalition shipyards were able to begin production of massive Romulan capital ships, capable of rivaling almost any Federation vessel. The Coalition also had access to seemingly unlimited resources, due to the presence of vast mineral fields to the galactic north-east of their borders.

First Contact:

The Federation Starship U.S.S. Tiberon was the first ship to ever come into direct contact with the Romulan Coalition, and the encounter resulted in the loss of 2 Coalition scoutships. The Coalition raiders were attempting to capture and salvage an Etherian generational ship, carrying over 3000 Etherian colonists. The U.S.S. Tiberon, then under the command of Captain Jeff Keach, attempted negotiation with the Coalition commanders, but to no avail. Captain Keach, determined to save the Etherians from sure destruction, had no choice but to open fire on the Romulan scoutships. The scoutships were no match for the Akira class starship, and were easily driven away.

Coalition Battle Tactics

The Romulan Coalition, unlike the Federation, rarely sends a single vessel on an exploration mission. The Coalition ships are almost always seen in packs of 2-4, and small cruiser fleets are sometimes accompanied by a warbird. The Coalition employs a massive fast-attack method for larger operations, amassing a large fleet of anywhere from 10 to 40 capital ships and warbirds who will drop in and decloak only once they are right on top of their target. They will then open fire simultaneously, and often coordinating fire at strategic points, to ensure a quick disabling of the target. This move is best countered by keeping all ships unclustered and coordinating fire on the vital systems of a single vessel, picking them off one by one. Coalition Warbirds are slow, and very suceptible to fighter or fast shuttle attacks. The cruisers can often be defeated in a one-on-one battle, if the opposing ship is of sufficient strength. Cruisers should not be engaged by any vessel less tactically inclined than an Intrepid Class. Science and transport vessels are no match for them. Warbirds should not be engaged by and vessel weaker than an Akira-Class. Smaller vessels, save for packs of Defiant Class ships, will be almost instantly overwhelmed.

Battle of Deep Space Twelve

The largest and most damaging conflict with the Romulan Coalition was the attack on the front-line starbase Deep Space Twelve. This station lies a mere 168.26 AU from the outer border of the Romulan Coalition. In November of 2379, the Coalition launched a large fleet of over 80 ships to conquer this roadblock in their expansion. Deep Space Twelve, a Halcyon-class starbase, holds advanced tactical information on even Starfleet's most powerful ships. Halcyon-class stations are even capable of supporting shipyard facilities. Once DS12 was in Coalition hands, it was a matter of time before the Coalition broke the encryption codes and gained vital knowledge on Starfleet hardware. Admiral William Karelia, leading a fleet consisting of the U.S.S. Tiberon, U.S.S. Sequoia, U.S.S. New Orleans, U.S.S. Evolution, U.S.S. Phoenix, and M.E.V. Paladin, gathered an infilrtration team to board the station and disable it's defenses. The team barricaded themselves in Engineering, working on breaking the Coalition's hold over the station's systems. The Starfleet task force, while greatly outgunned, succeeded with the assistance of a vessel of unknown classification, named the A.S.C. Revox, from a space power now known as the Delta Alliance.
Deep Space Twelve was reclaimed with very little loss of life, however, the starship U.S.S. Sequoia was destroyed in the encounter, and the Coalition leader, Admiral Regimal Allurian, managed to escape.

Due to the lack of interest, and to preserve Omega Division's once good name, I will be closing this division soon. I would ask all characters to please hold off on finding new assignments until the division closes officially.

I will be taking over as the Commanding Officer of Avalon Division, and I will try my best to find good positions there for anyone who wishes it. I will also be trying to arrange the transfer of the U.S.S. Tiberon to Avalon Division, so all crew members of that ship may not experience much change.

As for the finale mission, the Na'jigat will be attacking DS12, a battle in which the station will be destroyed, warranting the transfer of personnel and equipment to other divisions.

I would like to thank everyone who participated in this division, and those people who made it one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. It's been fun, but you know what they say: All good things..."
