*Ardwyad looks at the Evolution on the viewscreen, and suddenly notices the ship is dropping out of warp.*
"Get us out of warp! Now! Stay close to the Evolution! And scan the area, I want to know if whatever they're looking for, is around here!"

OFF: there is a ship dead in the water, no people on there, nearby in this sector. The type of ship is totally unknown.

[Ardwyad]

"Mr. Rikan, I know how you feel, and believe me, it is very hard for me to hear all this news too. It came like a shock to me, but you must consider the fact that for all their wisdom, there may yet be other forces at work against the Delta Alliance, that they fail to see. Who knows what did Starfleet promise them, to make them believe they were peaceful with their intentions. Can you explain to me, then, Mr. Rikan, why the Evolution suddenly broke all regulations in D.A. space, did not even answer for their behaviour, yet are allowed to continue their actions by the Delta Alliance? We don't fight to defeat our people, Mr. Rikan, we fight to defend that which our people once built: the Delta Alliance. We fight against Starfleet, not our own people. And may the Gods of Sordinan give them the wisdom to understand what it is they are doing, and the wisdom to join us again as one Alliance!"

[Ardwyad]

"No, I'm afraid we don't have anti-cloak sensors, as we've never encountered cloaking technology before. Who knows how many... cloaked visitors we've had before in the past, and never knew. But we must focus on the task at hand. How nearby are the Romulans on the ship, related to our position?"

[Ardwyad]

*Suddenly, a control panel beeps, and Ardwyad checks it out.*
"Long range scanners detect two ships having entered D.A. space, crossing the border into Talonion territory."
*He touches a few more buttons.*
"They both appear to be Starfleet vessels, and their course seems to take them to the planet Talonis."
*Ardwyad looks up, with a worried face, at Mentora.*
"What should we do?"

[Ardwyad]

"I'm afraid you're running out of allies here, Mr. Mentora. The loyalty of this ship's crew goes to me first. You will remain in the brig for the remainder of this mission, and when we return to the capital planet, we will deliver you to the High Queen herself. She may decide upon your fate, and if you spoke truth, it's my head that will roll and not yours, and you wouldn't have anything to loose."
*He nodds at the guards.*
"Take him to the brig now."

[Ardwyad]

OFF: Is everyone gone and do I have to do it myself here?

Thinks about getting up and running for the door but decideds to stay making scans of the area.

Then Gets up and bolts for the door to take a good look around before the strom hit, having never been to this planet before.

[Ardwyad]

"Ahh! Interesting, interesting..."
*Ardwyad walks over to the computer panel of Rikan to look at the found data.*
"We should be able to trace this merchant much easier now. Request the Catapult to set coordinates for the headquarters planet, for both us and the Evolution."
*Then he returns to his seat and pushes a button to open a channel to the Evolution.*

Captain Sanchez, I have good news for you. We have discovered that the Dralian merchant you look for, is named Quarval. We should be able to track down this trader a bit more easily now. But beside that, I also have the authority and honour to finally invite you to come along with us for a visit to the Delta Alliance headquarters, where the High Queen's residence is located.

"Not so hard to believe, when you hear what I have to tell you. The Council had gathered together, after reports of the unusual activity of the Evolution had reached the High Queen. A Starfleet vessel that suddenly breaks all regulations, and does not give a reasonable explanation for it... that was weird indeed. If any of our own ships had done this, the person in command would already have been escorted to Nygea Delta to stand trial... But where is the captain of the Evolution? Why has he, a stranger to us, not been given the same treatment we would give our own people? Nobody in the Delta Alliance came to back you up in capturing captain Sanchez! Isn't that strange? It seemed as if somehow, he was being protected by powers unseen... someone of a high ranking, and with much influence, must have arranged the Evolution to get away with it this easily... This theory was confirmed when the Council of Representatives was in session... Several species, headed by the Traquel, seemed to speak in the favor of the Evolution! They pleaded for the Evolution, ignoring the regulations that the ship had broken so clearly!"
*He takes a deep breath, and leans back.*
"The Traquel has been in contact with Starfleet before, with Voyager. That meeting may have been the start of a conspiracy between the Traquel and Starfleet. Between that meeting and now, the Traquel has clearly been gaining allies against the Delta Alliance, as several other species have joined them during the discussions at the Council. They seem to defend Starfleet in everything they do, and ignore the regulations that the Delta Alliance was built upon. They have brought our High Queen in a difficult situation now, and we must stand by her!"
*Mentora leans forward.*
"The Traquel have openly declared war on the Delta Alliance now. No doubt, Starfleet has been working on a secret fleet to assist them in this act. They have formed the Traquel Directorate, and several species have joined them, including the Droids and the Nigillians."
*He puts a hand on Ardwyad's shoulder.*
"I'm sorry, it must be hard to hear your own people doing this. But I'm sure they will come to their senses, when they realise this conspiracy is doomed to fail. We must remain loyal to the Delta Alliance, and our primary plan should be to protect the High Queen at all costs. The Delta Alliance will survive this wave of corruption, if we all stand together. And you, Chief Ardwyad, are the most skilled chief I know. I need your help to do this, by making your ship the flagship of the fleet we will raise to defend the borders of the Delta Alliance. Can I count on you?"

[Ardwyad]

*Sometime later, Ardwyad reads the sensor output.*
"We've located the U.S.S. Evolution, Mr. Mentora. We should soon be at their location. But... they aren't alone! Another Starfleet vessel is with them, and another of a different design as well. And they are heading straight to the planet Talonis!"

[Pax]

*The voice of the Yzakian representative Pax suddenly appears on the viewscreen.*
"Surprised to see me, Chief Ardwyad? Yes, I know, the Yzakians had withdrawn themselves from the civil war, because were pacifists and refuse to carry any weapon. But we also realise the importance of the Delta Alliance, as we are a founding member, and while the Traquel were on their way to hunt you down, we spent time on keeping order throughout D.A. space, and to give humanitarian aid to the victims that fell during the battles. And there were many at Naederia, all on your behalf, Mr. Ardwyad. I came with Mr. Tash, to be available to provide immediate humanitarian aid to injured people of the Traquel Directorate, and to the Nigillians you attacked."
*He shakes his head.*
"You even attacked your own people, Mr. Ardwyad, what were you thinking? Nevertheless, we appreciate that you took the right decision in the end, by arresting Mentora and ending the war here before it would get any worse than it already was. Yet, D.A. regulations don't allow me to leave you in command of your ship. Therefore, Chief Ardwyad, you are relieved of your function as commanding officer of this or any other ship, until the Alliance Judge Council decides you are fit to resume your commission again. I'm sorry, Mr. Ardwyad. Pax out."
