Travis got up from the CO chair.

"Request permission to dock Ensign Matthews."

=A="Right doctor, when he is ready for duty inform him to see about repairs."=A=

Travis presses a comm button on his chair.

"This is Commander Travis to all stations, we're about to dock at Avalon Station, all crew will be given leave to the recreational facilities."

~Unfortunately no Commander, only the Priestess is authorized to do the Fal-Tor-Pan ritual. But repairs will take a long time and we can go in my vessel the Unbounded Grace, she is birthed at this station and has a "Shift-drive".~

OOC: Shift-Drive, is an engine of my creation, by using Zero-point Energy direct from Subspace. The Engine uses Quantum Entanglement to initiate a Teleport-jump. Range being anywhere between 1 to 15000 Ly's and is almost instantaneous. (Quantum Physics and M-Theory)

Baphomet listened intently to the Neuro-Surgeons, as the place the Neural-Regulator implant into his brain, a memory that might actually help her save his life and herself at the same time.
It seemed like an endless amount of as Baphomet searched Morgan's neural pathways for the chip, until, like finding the lost city of Atlantis, she found the chip and transferred her Katra into it.
It was a strange feeling for her being inside a piece of technology, of which Sigmund Freud and Bill Gates would have killed to be in her stead right now. But are long gone and she is the only one, in her perspective, was like being inside the Digital World of the 20th Century movie TRON (20th Century Earth being a hobby of hers).
But her fascination would have to wait, cause she has a prescious life to save, so she got straight to work, repairing damaged Iso-linear pathways and corrupted Subroutines until at last she hoped the task was complete.
With that Baphomet exited the Neural Regulator Implant to find out...

*Baphomet then projected her thoughts through the ether to Captain Taurik, she suddenly felt shiver run up her ethereal-spine and had to convey it, no matter how trivial it might seem. Whether it was due to being in Katra-form, that even the Vulcans cannot explain what it is, or just the effect of being in someone elses brain...who could say*

~~CAPTAIN TAURIK, PLEASE HEAR ME SIR!~~
~~I HAVE FELT A 'PRESENCE' EVER SINCE WE ENTERED INTO ABOUT A LIGHTYEAR OF TALONIS AND THE NULL-SPACE CATAPULT, IS ANYTHING A MATTER?~~

OOC: Not much I can do about it anyway, but I'd be bored if I didn't.

Mr Matthews please don't touch at the moment. the Flames may not have done as much damage as you expected but it has done damage and I will need to get proper dermaplast on your face to help it heal properly and it won't do that if you keep touching it.

Post by: Mentora on July 01, 2005, 11:08:58 AM
>-< Mentora to all enemy ships >-<
Mr. Tash, you have fired on our ships without any provocation! We were merely conducting Delta Alliance business with Starfleet, who violated our regulations, but all this is of no concern to you, since you have withdrawn from the Delta Alliance and thus have no business here any more! Your actions, however, betray your collaboration with the D.A.'s greatest enemy, Starfleet, and this is to us a clear sign of a declaration of war! Therefore, the war between the D.A. and Starfleet, with her renegade allies, has begun! You have all won this battlefield, and we will retreat, but we shall meet again... we shall meet again!
>-< Revox out >-<

*The A.S.C. Revox and the entire Torran fleet come about, and jump to warp, carefully masking their warp signature to avoid the Starfleet ships or Traquel fleet from immediately discovering their destination.*

Now as the story is being written.................
"Today you shall die. Tomorrow ALL shall die. We are the N'ygat. We are all. We will devour you ALL!!!!

On the bridge of Evolution:
Vurak Spock in his meditative state begins the tapping. A strange unearthly glow begins to circumference around Vurak (in spirit form) as he begins to channel his energy within himself outward. A strange feeling of overwhelming energy as he excels himself to another level of existence. For one brief moment. Vurak understands what must be done. He begins to channel "himself" in the tactical control panel through the many interconnecting wires and electronic components literally immersing himself into the phaser controls until he reaches the point where he begins the "building" of his energy with that of the phaser. A build up begins in the phaser. A whitish blue glow begins enamating out from the phaser begins. The sensors begin to target phaser, but with great difficulty!
To everyone on bridge: (On evolution when this occurred.)
The control panel begins to glow a bluish white glow. The control panel LITERALLY comes alive on it's own. You see Vurak remain in meditative state as he concentrates. His eye remains closed the it literally flies open. A light bluish white glow begins to encompass his eyes. He stares blank at the control panel.
A mindlink to Taurik: I am coming Taurik. I will help you. Sentinel Taurik. Prepare for combining of my energy with your and we will scatter the N'ygat to the winds!!!! Logically speaking of course.

Addressing all in a hoarse voice: Fire at Will.

Off: Asking for everyone to post their actions before the final outcome. Give a day or two of leeway if permitted. . Make it good one. Please enjoy the show.......................Hope this helps.

Captain. Simply put. Locked and Loaded! FIre upon command (As the tactical systems are directly dead on the Tash and Mentora flag ships...............) and yes, Captain. Sensors indicate a faint signature of warp energy indicative of a possible cloaked device coming from the rear. Captain. Kassie may have something.............I am diverting some power to compensate and to increase shield rating in the hull section as well as the rest of the ship just in case. Shields holding now at 73%. Captain.

Baphomet, stands there facing Freeman in the shambles that was once the bustling Starship construction docks of Utopia Planitia, orbiting mars.
Baphomet looks into Morgan's eyes and then lowers her head in a vulcan's fascimile of shame.

~I am araid that you are dying and it is my fault this is happening, the Bio-chip can not regulate two neural patterns at the same time, so it is shutting down.~

Suddenly the scene shifts to Mount Selaya of Vulcan, Baphomet is there in Vulcan attire, Morgan, a little disorientated walks up too her wondering what this is.

Baphomet is approached by T'Pau, Baphomet is sitting on the altar, almost in tears.
~"You will not be able to be my apprentice T'Krell, given the fact you are unable to bare young, I appologise.~

T'Pau looks at T'Krell, I suggest you go through Kholinar, I will make arrangements with the High Council, from now on you will be known as Baphomet instead of T'Krell.
Then T'Pau does the "live long and Prosper" salute, turns and leaves.
Leaving BAPHOMET alone to herself...

OOC: Well had to do somethin' about Baph's past and why her name is not conventional Vulcan.

Captain. It's an honor and a privilege to serve you and as always to you all. I have concentrate all target arrays to your coordinates.Your coordinates set as specified. Ensign we need some power to coordinate the Captain's onslaught here. He has an unearthly feel about him. (He shiver at the thought.)  He needs all our support. Make SURE that beam HITS those coordinates!! We need to help him guide his shot. We NEED a direct hit!

Quote (Morgan Freeman @ July 13 2005,1:11)
As Freeman is lying in sickbay his mind takes him to a beautiful beach.  As he is walking along the shore he see's in the distance Baphomet.
Walking up to her, "Commander where are we?  What is going on here?"

~This Commander, is where your Subconscious retreats to, it is a place which brings you comfort when you are asleep and also in pain as your own body repairs itself.~
~Do not be afraid, I made it seem more real for you, as I am assisting your body in the healing process.~
Baphomet then walks up to him and tentively reaches for his hand, and they walk along the Beach hand in hand, she feels slightly uncomfortable but being in the Commanders mind is beginning to influence her thoughts.

After sometime, walking and talking along the imaginary beach in this "Paradise of the Psyche", they took a swim in the "sea of dreams". Then they reside under the shade of a beatiful Palm tree sipping on Pineapple juice.

~Commander, I never thanked you for letting me share your body, even though I did not ask, for that I am deeply sorry and ashamed.~
~I...have something to tell you...although I am not human or have a body...would you...be...~

Morgan, shushed her and they sat there looking into each others eyes.

OOC: Okay, so I'm a romantic at heart.:D

"How much do you know about how to determine if someone is carring anothers Katra?"

"I assume you refer to our recently departed science officer. A simple mind meld would usually suffice, but under the circumstances, I think we can dispense with that."

Taurik reaches out to Freeman, and he probes his mind for any sign of Commander Baphomet.

"Yes, she is here. Unfortunately, we would need to travel to Vulcan to perform the Fal-Tor-Pan. We cannot spare that much time, so you must endure one another until we can make a trip to Vulcan."

Taurik arrived at Phaser Control. He walked over to the primary inducer coil for the dorsal starboard phaser array. He placed his hands on the coil, and began to channel all of his energy into it. Suddenly, without input form any duty station on the ship, the array began to charge. A phaser beam shot from the array, but it was not the standard, bright orange beam. This beam was a blinding white, and was coursing with the psionic energy of Taurik, Sentinel of the Gallifreyan Order.

The Na'jigat cloud reached DS12. It began feeding power from the five large fusion reactors on the station, and drained power from every system, be it major or auxilliary. The station's lights began to dim, and the station began to list slightly. The force of the power drain destabilized the station's orbit of the planet Envidia II, and the station began to move, affected by Envidia's gravity. Every officer on all the ships watched some viewscreen, as the station plummeted through Envidia II's thin atmosphere, and impacted on the planet's surface. A flash could be seen as the fusion reactors went critical.

"Karelia to the fleet," Will said, barely able to speak the words. "Evacuate the area. Set course to your home bases."

Post by: Event Horizon on July 08, 2005, 12:26:43 PM
*The Borg Cube continued to fire upon the station and starships. The voice of the Collective resounds over the intercom again.*
"Resistance is futile. Lower your shields and surrender your ships. We will add your biological and technological distinctives to our own. You will adapt to service us."
*The Borg cube closes in to attack even more relentlessly. With the U.S.S. Ticonderoga destroyed, the cube now concentrated its attacks on the other ships, causing severe damage where possible.*
"You will be assimilated. If you attempt to intervene, we will destroy you."
*But while a lightshow of phasers, photon and quantum torpedoes lights up the dark space surrounding Deep Space 12, there is another power, slowly awakening... and hungry for... energy. Hiding in the Quantum Singularity Network, the Na'jigat has been growing ever stronger. The Na'jigat had been gaining strength and energy from other installations it had attacked and destroyed, and drained its energy... But now the Na'jigat was hungry again, and eager for more energy to absorb... The Na'jigat, being a species existing of pure mental energy, thus therefore impossible to destroy or hide from, has the ability to sense all that goes on, all that people think, feel and know... The abilities of the Na'jigat go beyond anything any humanoid species aside from a Q has ever displayed... The Na'jigat can take any form and project any mental image, deceiving both men's eyes and ship's sensors... And now, the Na'jigat was about to do it again... And while the starships and station are too busy defending themselves from the massive Borg cube, they don't notice that their sensors display an emergence of an energy cloud from the not too far off Quantum Singularity Network, rapidly moving toward the battlefield. But while Starfleet ships were preoccupied, the Borg was aware of a new presence, they ignored none of their sensor readings.*
"Detecting energy wave. Wave moving toward our coordinates. Prepare to intercept and assimilate."
*While the Borg cube continues to fire on the Starfleet vessels, part of its attention is now drawn to the Na'jigat cloud...*
"Unable to detect humanoid life forms. Pure energy of mental kind. Higher life form than the Borg. Must assimilate life form to gain perfection. Prepare to attack and assimilate. Classifying life form as Species 19554. Species 19554 closing in rapidply, expected arrival in 7 seconds... Preparation for assimilation is complete. Activate-"
*Suddenly, the Na'jigat energy cloud embraces the Borg cube. It all happens so fast that the Borg cube has no time or chance to react, and everyone on the surrounding starships only realises what is going on, when it has already begun... The Na'jigat is consuming the Borg cube. It seems as if a battle takes place inside, but is rapidly decided... In no time, the Borg cube begins to display smaller explosions, then larger ones... And only seconds later, the entire Borg cube completely explodes violently, less than 30 seconds after the Na'jigat attacked it... The Na'jigat greedily swallows all energy that comes free from the Borg cube's explosion, and only some other debris is thrown into space on all directions, some of them slamming into the shields of the ships and into the station. Seconds later, it almost seems as if the Borg cube had never been there... But looks can deceive, and while the Na'jigat had rid Starfleet of the Borg cube, the Federation starships and station now had to face a far more dangerous foe... The Na'jigat, having swallowed an enormous amount of energy from the Borg cube, had now grown stronger than it had been for many millenia, and yet it was hungry for more... And the energy it wanted, was just there for the taking... All it took, was to attack the little starships and station in front of it... Soon, the Na'jigat would be stronger again than the Gallifreyans, and conquer the galaxy! And thus, the energy cloud now focussed on the Starfleet vessels, and lashed out in an attack.*

OFF: Please read this article at our online database:
http://www.expansionfleet.com/cgi-bin....najigat
It will tell you what the Na'jigat is all about. You can't kill it, nobody can. So as to know what you can and can't do, read the article thoroughly please.

(OFF: Time to speed it up...)

--- Two hours later ---

A helmsman turned and spoke up. "Captain, we've arrived at Deep Space Twelve."

"Good," Taurik replied. "Take up a defensive posture around the station. Ensign Matthews, run a Level 3 diagnostic on the weapons systems before the Borg arrive, to optimize our damage potential."

Taurik focused all of his attention toward the phaser inducer coil in front of him. He channeled all of his energy into it, and it began to pain him. A second white beam shot from the phaser array, and Taurik maintained it with all of his will. The Na'jigat began to slink away from the beam, and then a similar beam shot from the Evolution. The Na'jigat, losing energy quickly, then began to retreat back to the Quantum Singularity Net, where they could recuperate from the devastating psionic assault.

Taurik released his connection to the phaser array, and collapsed on the floor of Phaser Control.

OOC:  I am to and now you get a little background on Freemans life.

On:  ~Baphomet, I know it must be hard for you and I am sorry you got stuck with me.  Do not be ashamed of what you did.  You saved all of us.  Perhaps when we get you back where you belong we can...

The beach starts to change all of the sudden and baphomet is sitting in a conference room of a starfleet facilty.   Freeman is no where around and neither is anyone else.~

In sickbay Freeman's nurilogial activiaties start to plumit.

~ After looking around the room Baphomet discoveres that she is in a Starfleet Corps of Engineers construction base.  On the viewscreen their is a scematic for a craft labeled: Scorpian Mark 1 Anti Borg Assault Fighter.

After studing the schematic for a minute 12 engineers enter the room and all sit down.  Freeman arrives in the room a moment later and stands in front of the room.  They begin to talk about the Scorpian and what it will take to get the craft operational.  The only interesting part for Baphomet is a piece of technology called "ABTA," armour to counteract the borg.

As they where talking a Red alert Coxin went off.

=A= Maxwell to Freeman =A=
We have received a message from Starfleet Command.  The task force in the typhon sector is unsuccessful and are retreating to bata position.   They say at all cost do not launch the Scorpian.

The Evolution is about to do something on viewscreen.............Sensors are indication a strong energy coming from their phaser array on their ship. They look like they are about to fire.....................................The readings are indicating a rise in power in their tactical systems. An effect similar to the Captains.....................That's strange.

"Lieutenant, set phasers on a rotating frequency..."

"Target the Borg cube and stand by..."

"Rivendell, fall back to support position one..."

"Karelia to the fleet. We have it in visual range, a Borg cube on course zero, mark two-one-five. Speed, warp nine-point--"

And then the chilling, collective voice plays through on all vessels:

"We are the Borg. Lower your shields and surrender your ships. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to service us. You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile."

With that, the comm channel fell a deadly silent. One voice then pierced the silence with a single word:

"Fire."

~Commander, tell Mr. O'Neil to leave us for a few minutes... through you I am going to teach Kassie a simple Vulcan meditation technique for controlling emotions:
Tell her to sit cross legged with eyes closed on the Biobed and with a straight back tell her to breathe in and out slowly, three times.
Once complete, tell her to breathe normally concentrating on her breathing, allowing thoughts to come as they will, while still concentrating on her breathing.
Kassie must do this for at least thirty minutes, twice daily, as she does so she will notice that she can apply this technique all the time, no matter what.~

~Please convey this to Kassie, Commander.~

Through Commander freeman's eyes, Baphomet watches his every move...
~Commander, I suggest diverting small amounts of Anti-matter to the Phaser emitters, the emitters will not survive for too long but the plasma-ionization, generated should be enough to disable their vessel enabling the Rivendell and Evolution to use the Null-Space Catapult, before the Alliance can effect any kind of repair~

Off: Please excuse me for I STILL have to be playing a ferengi do not take offense. Mr. Mathews. Ferengi's are brash folk. lol. :).

Yes. Captain. Did you wish to keep the tractor maintained on the Kahless ship or does it feel it can function on its own Captain. We seem to neglect that one. I can also divert some of our power away from tactical station to give engineering a boost for the engines if you wish. Warp speed being maintained. I managed to repair some of the damage on the shields while we are transferring. Holding at 80% currently.

(As he turns around, he notices a new arrival a gentlemen dressed in tactical uniform with the ensign insignia. He looks directly at him then at the Captain.)

Ah. Let me get this straight. I get a partner for my absense from duty. Was it my fault that I got plasma burns three times and landed me in the sick bay for a couple of months. Now I need a partner for duty. I have to run a restaurant as well as be a tactical officer AND has a subordinate. You are so nice to me Captain. DEBTS are so hard to pay is it.............sigh.....(Remembering his little fiasco on Deep Space Nine with a certain ferengi and a certain captain...............)

He looks Mr. Mathews and declares:
Excuse my mannerism. Mr. Mathews. It's just been ONE of those days. I am Lieutenant Solark Baklavar of Tactical, Here to serve and assist you, Ensign. Welcome aboard. I hope we can work on coordinating our efforts to better ends of course.
Please have a seat beside me and let's get to it.

"Theres no time to repair it over controls...".
He bent down low and crawled a short way into the torpedo launching shoot. He reached a cover on the rounded wall and pulled it open. He yelled down the shoot and back into the weaponry control room to the Captain. "Sir! I am going to try something quick. If you could try to power the whole system down when I do!".
He pulled the phaser still at his side from the borg combat, and fired it in a direct beam at the open panel.
A small burst of flame came from the power burst and the sting of fire hit Matthews' face.

Ensign, Divert remaining energy out of tactical. Shut tactical systems down and make it offline with exceptions of viewscreen and sensor systems. I want them to have what little power we can offer to help keep this boat afloat. I will see what I can spare for power and do a diagnostics to see if we can spare the power from other areas of the ship. That is your assignment Ensign. I am going to offer my assistance in engineering if the Commander permits it. I have some engineering capabilities that may help a bit. Give them also the damage report on tactical and any necessary equipment. Thank you. Ensign.

Commander Travis, Request permission to assist in engineering. I will do what I can to help divert power to critical areas. I believe I can be of better use down there at the moment then here at tactical. Ensign Mathews can handle things from here. I will do what I can in engineering. Requesting permission. Commander. The Righteous rocked violently as it took a beating from the Na'jigat. An explosion flared from the ceiling, and gas began to leak. A bolt akin to lightning lanced from the cloud and struck the Defiant-class ship. A few escape pods left the ship, but very few survived. Another lightning bolt lanced from the energy cloud, and blasted the Righteous right in the belly. The ship split into several large portions, and the warp nacelles hung only by a few plates of duranium. The Na'jigat cracked the ship open like a coconut, and drained it's energy just as easily. Once the ship had been drained, they absorbed the final explosion as the warp core lost containment.

Taurik is stunned to hear that his former first officer was arriving aboard the ship again.

"Granted, Commander."

Once the runabout had docked, a security officer escorts Commander Travis to the Captain's ready room, where Travis hands Taurik a PADD. It read:

Quote

To: Captain Taurik, U.S.S. Rivendell
From: Director Sloan, Starfleet Intelligence
Re: Commander William Travis

Captain Taurik, I hope this message finds you and your crew doing well. Commander William Travis was recently transferred off of your ship discreetly, under orders of Starfleet Intelligence. I have no doubt you have already found a replacement for him. Mr. Travis was recruited by Intelligence to do some undercover work regarding the Dominion. Unfortunately, the details are classified, so that's all I can tell you. However, he has finished said operations and is to be returned to active duty at once. I understand this will cause problems in your ship's chain of command, but I have faith that you will figure something out.

"I see. Welcome back, Commander."

--Several hours later--

The ship drops out of warp near Starbase Avalon, and a once-again-exhausted Taurik climbs over the rails and leaves the engine room.

"The structual integrity is likely too weak to withstand a trip through the null-space catapult. A safer course of action would be to proceed at maximum warp, where the damage is less intense."

Coming over to Ensign Kassie once I got Commander Freeman onto the bio bed.

Yes I think you should take into account that you a Vulcan not a Klingon Ms Kassie. If you try to continue to at such igh standards I could do some irrepairable damage and then where will you be.

While he was taken to sickbay he heard Freemans message and let out a sigh of relief. The next thing his mind went to was how long his risky method would land him on a medical cot.

"The sheilds should withstand fire from Borg weapons, thier sheild cutting beams will cause heavy damage though, sir. Each beam would lower our sheild power by 10%, I can continue to divert power to compensate sir".

Goes over and gently twists the contorl knob. Well ensign Kassie it helps if you turn on the antigav emmitters. With that the brace and the leg below it become as light as a feather.

He sat up and got to his feet from the sickbay cot.
"Thank You, Doctor. I will return to duty".

He went to his quarters to freshen up, and reported to the bridge some 20 minutes after leaving sickbay.
"Ensign Matthews reporting for duty. Lieutenant Baklavar is still on leave from duty I think, I am able to continue as acting-chief of tactical, sir".

*As the ships near the planet Talonis, the Evolution drops out of warp and assumes standard orbit around the planet. But meanwhile, the A.S.C. Revox, the D.A. ship, is on its way to their coordinates as well, and is about to arrive soon...*

"Energy! More energy!"
*But the Na'jigat is halted in their quest, when a beam of unusual power holds them back... This is not the energy they can consume, this is the mental energy that can push them back... The energy they had always known to come from their opponents... the Gallifreyans.*
"Gallifreyans! Gallifreyans! But I sense no Gallifreyan... there are none... There must be Gallifreyans... Where does mental energy come from... Sense powers almost as strong as Gallifreyans... But they are not Gallifreyans... Must retreat! Must retreat! Must retreat!"
*The Na'jigat cloud retreats instantly from the battlefield, before any more of the opposing energy can weaken it further. The Na'jigat is still strong enough, but chooses to withdraw and consider a new strategy... They return to the Quantum Singularity Network, and disappear in it... for now...*

Well. Captain and Commander. The transfer of the crew is complete from the orders I quickly received. That transporter room was quite crowded from the sudden flux of personnel. Well. That's QUITE over with. Security sweep was completed about the time our personnel was being returned to our ship. There is no longer any danger from any intruder. Orpheus made short work of any "additional" problems in the computer banks. All decks are reported to be normal currently as well as the departments. Tactical systems and security systems are online and ready to be functional and back in CONTROL of the proper personnel. 100% efficiency since we removed that "problem." Currently, Captain. To sum it up. We are "safe" for the time being. Security sweep a success...............

Thank you Orpheus for all your help by the way. THAT was way to close..........................
