enter the bridge after a long sleep and belanna begins diagnostics on the security systems nad tactical systems

computer: diagnostic complete in 30 minutes

"Thank you sir."  Mitch rises from his chair and heads for the turbolift.  Before the doors hiss shut, Mitch sees an ensign take his place.  

"Deck 5"  The turbolift begins to move.  It deposits the lieuteant on deck 5.  Mitch heads towards astrometrics, the big doors slide open to reveal a large screen and instrumentation.

**IN ASTROMETRICS**

"Ok....here we go."

"Computer, bring up all of the encounters with Loxians."

A list of encounters scrolls on the large screen.  

"Now...highlight all of those that are involving ships."

About 30 are highlighted.

"Remove the rest."

Only the 30 highlighted are left.

"Computer, do any have a definte recorded match of the warp signatures?"

Computer:  Yes, 3 encounters have a matching warp signature.

"Interesting....computer, bring up a picture of the viewscreen on the bridge.  Using astrometric sensors, scan the vessels, and run a cross-reference with the 3 encounters."

After a few moments of silence the computer beeps.

Computer:  They are a match.

Mitch taps his combadge.

=/\= Walker to Taurik.  Captian, astrometric sensors show that the vessels are Loxian. =/\=

"Tactical, target all weapons on the Skytoucher. Disable all key systems, but be cautious as not to cause harm to the crew. Lieutenant Walker, initiate evasive pattern Omega-Six."

Taurik turns around to face the Operations Officer.

"Try to obtain what happened to the Skytoucher. Take any measures necessary to prevent the same from befalling us. Orpheus, obtain the Skytoucher's prefix command code. It may prove invaluable in reestablishing control over the ship."

Off: Finally, I finally go an entire battle without leaving for work for a change. That's a wonder. This has been definetly an experience. Thank you everyone. . lol.

(In his mind, he thinks. Eh. So much for that drink in the Celtic Corner. Hmph. .)

Awaiting orders. Commander Freeman. I can begin repairs on the tactical systems including shields if you wish. It's good to be alive on this fine day. Commander.

(As he waits to hear of his orders as he slowly begins working on diagnostics on the extent of damages to the shields and weapons systems..............)

Yes Captain the sections that we have are fully operational.  Also with your permission I would like to continue my efforts with the third section till I am needed here.

*Freeman looks as though he has been working non stop for the past weeks.  His clothes are filty his hair is durty and he has a beard that looks ungromed.  *

Captain. Weapons are being readied. Tactical Alert has been initiated. Ready for duty. Weapons are being powered up. What level of alert. Captain. I see we are going to have a bit of a rumble.  Phasers and torpedo launchers are in check and being engaged for stand by. Shields are being raised and have been checked for integrity. At your command Captain. (Solark looks a bit worse for wear from his burns, but he is plugging away without being phased out with a slight hint of cigar smoke in his clothes. He awaits further orders. .)

**ON THE HOLODECK**
The young Starfleet lieutenant was walking in a canyon when he thought he saw someone up on the canyon wall.  There wasn't supposed to be anyone else in here, the program was just for the surroundings, no people.  

"Ephram!"

The person called out.  Mitch tightened up the reigns "Whoa boy..." the horse came to a stop.  Only Mitch's uncle called him Ephram.  

"Hello?!"

Mitch called out.  He turned Duke in the direction and clucked, Duke took off towards the trail up the canyon.

When Mitch arrived at the peak of the wall there was no one there.  He got off of Duke and tied him to a stubby tree.  

Mitch removed his hat and grabbed his combadge from the saddlebag and called out.  "Uncle Jimmy?"

<Uncle Jimmy> "Ephram...what are you doing out here?"  

"I could ask you the same thing...you're dead."

<Uncle Jimmy>"Ephram, what are you talking about, listen to me..."  

"What?"  

Suddenly the man was no longer Mitch's uncle.  

"The one you call captian will not listen to us.  If he will not listen then perhaps you will."

"Wait...what?"  Mitch tapped his combadge

"Lt. Walker to Captain Taurik....I need you to come to --"  

Then a bright light appeared and Mitch disappeared.  

OFF:  Taurik, if you don't like it, just delete it, I'm just bored, I thought this might be fun.  And I'm on Holodeck 2 if you wanted to know.

"Lieutenant Walker, engage at full impulse. Tactical, fire at will."

**Secondary Stardrive Section**

"Tactical, sheilds up, arm phasers and torpedos.  Helm, defensive manuver Alpha 1, on my mark.  Ops, get me scematics on that flagship."  

A chorus of yes sirs filled the room.  

The ship veered toward a smaller Loxian vessel firing on it firing a volley of torpedos into the crippled vessel it was destroyed.  The vessel immediately turned and attacked a second ship.  A group of Loxian ships began tailing the ship, firing on it.  The section of the Rivendell pitched forward...throwing the CONN officer out of her chair.  She lay still...Mitch watched her for a split second, in that second the vessel was surrounded by 3 Loxian vessels.  

"MEDIC!"  Mitch screamed as he jumped to the helm console.  He plunged the ship downward spinning it around.  "Fire phasers and arm quantum torpedos!"

A blue shirted Lieutenant jg appeared next to Mitch.  

"Attend to Ensign Carter...head trauma..."

The phasers lanced from the secondary stardrive section and hit two of the attacking Loxian vessels.  

"Fire quantum torpedos!"

The torpedos rocketed from the vessel destroying one of the ships.  

The ship rocked again from the weapons fire of the attacking ships.

"Very well. Computer, begin auto-separation sequence."

"Acknowledged. Separation in 5 seconds."

A moment passes...

"Separation complete."

OFF:  Great scott Taurik!  you destroyed everything!  I leave for a week and my ship is destroyed and now i"m on a Klingon cruiser!  Not that i care....thanks for helping out!  

**ON KAHLESS**
"Thank you Captian for rescuing us, I am Lieuteant Walker of the USS Rivendell.  My crew and I need to get back to the Rivendell."

Off:  I also got married while being a member of the fleet.  :-)   And its great.  

On:  *Morgan walks into sickbay and finds the doctor.*
"Doc I am having trouble sleeping and some major headaches I was wondering if you could give me anything"

*The Skytoucher was acting upon orders from the Loxians and it therefor made another turn and headed for the USS Rivendell and Venture. Several salvo's were fired and had an imediate impact. The two ships returned fire and the Skytoucher shivered again. Several consoles blew and sparks were flying around the bridge*

(OFF: lol! Hey, it's not every day I get to play a human in command of a ship. Being Vulcan gets really boring sometimes... Anyway, as for the destruction, it didn't seem fair that the Loxians lose a fleet, while we don't lose a single ship. So I did the next best thing...)

The Saucer Section somes to a slow and gradual stop and a slight rocking is felt as the ship latches onto the station's dockng port and the ramp is extended to a starboard airlock. Taurik, feeling the jolt, rises from his ready room chair and heads for Admiral Montrell's office. On his way through, he addresses Mr. Freeman.

"Commander, if you wish, rather than commanding the bridge while in dock, which I assume would not quell the human desire for constant activity, you may join the repair crews. If you wish, of course."

He then turns and leaves the bridge.

OFF:  Should we "start over" then Vorak?  I believe that blame would fall to me sir, as I was the one who commented on seeing the Loxian fleet.  Which sort of got the ball rolling, I was ready to get started...too much freetime I guess.    I also apologize if I have over stepped my bounds by responding...

Off:  The ship is back together at least the 2 peices right?

Arriving back in engineering well rested Cmd Freeman begins running diagnostics of the warp containment system in the Rivendell.
He also reviews the repair and diagnostic reports from beta shift.  

"Ensign Caplin, there appears to be a malfunction in the environmental control system in sickbay.   please go check the system. "

Caplin says yes sir and then is off to check the system.

--Captain Taurik, Saucer Section--

Taurik sees the Loxian flagship begin firing on its own escorts.

"Concentrate fire on the smaller Loxian vessels."

--Lieutenant Mitch Walker, Escape Pod--

Emery: "Sir, look!"

Mitch looks out the porthole to see the flagship turn around and beign firing on the nearest Loxian ships.

"That's incredible! Someone must have--"

=/\= This is the U.S.S. Danath. Attention, Pod 42, this is the Danath. =/\=

Mitch is cut off by the communication, but taps his badge and responds.

=/\= It's great to see you, Danath. We've got 7 to beam out. =/\=

Mitch and his companions dematerialize and reappear on the runabout.

(OFF: Not really. This has been going on for a while, over the span of a few missions. The "new mission" should be whatever mundane task the Admiralty assigns the crew to.)

(OFF: You can request a transfer in the DCO [Division Commander's Office].)

"I will be in the Observation Deck of the Shipyard. I also suggest you all take the time to enjoy the facilities on the starbase."

*On the Kahless, Kha'Var begins to pace.*

"Send in some small fighters after those 8 damaged ships."

"Right away!"

*20 fighters are launched and head for the damaged Loxian vessels.*

"So, they chose to ignore us do they?!  We are not a mere fly to be brushed aside or ignored.  Begin firing on the flagship!  We will scratch their belly with a red poker."

"All weapons are locked and targeted at the ship above us."

"Fire at will!  They will think us weaklings no longer!"

*The Kahless fires a heavy barrage against the underside of the Loxian flag ship.*

"My lady, our weapons  have weakened the shielding.  Their hull is about to be breached."

"The fighters are responding.  All 8 ships have been eliminated.  6 of our fighters are destroyed,  3 severely damaged.  They are requesting further orders."

"Tell them that they fight well, and we will honour their comrades in our memories.  There will be many songs of this battle.  Their orders are to track down any damaged Loxian vessels and disable or destroy them!"

"Transmission sent captain."

*Just then the hull of the Loxian flag ship breaches.*

"Commander!  We are under attack by 30 small Loxian vessels.  What are your orders?"

"Let's lead them on a merry chase through their own lines!  Evasive manoeuvres."

*The Kahless shutters and shakes from several different impacts.*

"Taking evasive action."

*The ship weaves between the lines of the Loxian fleet.  Trying to avoid the enemies weapon fire, the helmsman takes the Kahless closer to the other Loxian ships.  Some of the Loxian vessels are hit by friendly fire, 10 are damaged, 6 are disabled and 12 small ships are destroyed.  On the bridge of the Kahless, panels are exploding and crewmen are tossed about and some are injured or killed.*

"My lady, we are taking some heavy damage.  Hull integrity is failing on 20 decks!"

"Evacuate those decks and revert power from them to the shields and weapons!  Get these dead ones off my bridge!  Helm, take us closer to the Loxian ships!  I don't care if we start bouncing off their shields!  Just do it!"

*Helm takes the ship even closer to the Loxian vessels.  The Kahless gets too close and bounces off the shields of one of the larger ships.  The impact sends the ship careening deeper into the Loxian fleet.  The ship that the Kahless bounced off of is pushed into a group of smaller ships.  There is an explosion as the ships collided, 35 are engulfed in the explosion—no survivors.*

24 to 48 hours hours later,
(Under the dash board of the shield generator, Solark makes continuous adjustments on the shields.)

A now test drive, Ouch. (Zap! A jolt of electricity). Dam. I need a drink NOW!. Diagnostics needed for the circuit breaker on this thing.

Computer: Diagnostics commenced. Diagnostic complete. Repair made. Mr. Baklavar

Dam. That computer. Orpheus likes to make me suffer does he.....Oi. I need a drink. There! Finally finished. Shields are running at a 100%. Check on the list. Let's see tactical list number 23. Let's weapons are now operations at 100%. Now to check the transporter beam on this puppy. (Zap!) Ouch. Not again...............

(Another day in paradise for a ferengi officer craving a drink really badly. muwahahahaha. . I had to make myself suffer for the sake of a little humor.:))

"You were unconscious. The Na'jigat have visited you."

OFF: For the science heads among you, it may be interesting to know how the Loxian warp engine works. Their engines use koranium, which is also a subspace element used in Klingon warp drives. However, this particular element is not a regular koranium element. The Loxians apparently use soliton koranium, a rare combination but effective. Soliton is known, basically, to consist energy that does not diminish, and is capable of generating subspace fields allowing vessels to travel at warp speed with low energy consumption.

Having the verbal lines open during the battle I heard the Darnath's Call. and sent this in responce.

The ship shakes hard, taking a direct torpedo hit. Sparks fly from various consoles, and a crewman at the Mission Ops console near the back of the bridge falls to the floor. Taurik then taps his commbadge.

=/\= Bridge to Engineering. We need more energy diverted to the shields and weapons. Take power from any unnecessary systems. =/\=

*The Kahless slowly makes its way to Avalon Station.  KHa'Var requested permission to dock and have repairs done to the ship.  Avalon Station granted her request along with the other ships.  Once it was their turn to enter Avalon Station KHa'Var gave the order.*

"Helm proceed to dockingport 5."

"Moving to dockingport 5 m'lady.  Initiating docking procedures.  Docking is complete m'lady."

"Captain, repair crews from the station are coming aboard to begin repairs."

"Very well, I need to see how things are going with my son."

*She turns to Mitch Walker and his crew.*

"I assume you can find your way to the Rivendell from the dockingport.  Follow me, I will show you the way off my ship."

*KHa'Var leads Mitch Walker and crew to the dockingport entrance.*

"I hope you had a pleasant trip on my ship.  Here is where I leave you, I must speak with Vorak immediately."

*She walks off to Vorak's office.*

Off: And I just got my four quantum maximum torpedos too. Dam. LOL. I would have loved this part. Well. Captain Taurik. Your call. Vorak gave us the word. At your orders. . I will await a day for the giving my response before heading off to my toil of my job. Yippee. Another fine mess we got ourselves into. LOL. . I await your calls. guys.
It's ok. Mr. Walker. I believe we are entitled to a few oopsies. It looks to me it's going to be just a simple case of re-write of this tale. Awaiting orders as usual. .

* Morgan walks off the turbolift and onto the bridge looking dirtier then ever*

"Cap, I managed to rewrite the reintegration squence so its not looking for the 3rd section.   Also I locked down the core so it won't breach.  
 I had to divert most of weapons power to the structural integrity field so we can stay in one piece."

Taurik exits the turbolift.

"Commander, am I correct in my assumption that the Rivendell can function effectively in it's current condition? I have recieved word from the Engineering Department that the materials necessary to reassemble the mission portion may take up to a month to arrive from Federation space."

Yes Captain I shall do my best to help out. I think a short period in a stabilsed coma should be a help. as I approach the now thrashing man on the biobed I call to the nurses nearby to help the Captain gain control of walker. Lieutenant selttle down or you will do yourself and injury that I may not be able to fix.

Ai. Sir. I will fire and target where necessary.  

(Solark aims the Mark X Quantam Torpedo Launchers toward the top side of the Skytoucher to try to eliminate the weapons problems. The sky toucher Then utilizing the rest of the M-4 Torpedoes after launching the Mark X since it's a spreader from the Captain Taurik's orders from not too long ago. . And shoot directly in front of the Rivendell and hit head on at the Skytoucher ship itself to try slow it's decent by acting as a "barrier" between our two ships and the Skytoucher using the M-4 torpedo spreaders remaining to try to minimize the damage. Main call. knock out weapons since it's the main cause of our headaches. Weapons located at the top of Skytoucher based on the specs. Aim to block it's progress to minimize damage by using torpedos like a spreader and emptied out. . )

"Sir something else puzzles me.  The computer of the skytoucher did not register the prefix codes being activated before you sent them.  THe Loxians gained control of the Skytoucher a different way. "

*The rivendell gets hit by another salvo of torpedo's from the skytoucher."

"Excellent job, Lieutenant. But no more is required of you. As I said to Commander Freeman, overworking yourself will not help. I suggest you all take some time to yourselves, because with the increase in the rate of Na'jigat incursions, you may not get any for quite some time."

(OFF: Congratulations! Finally, we can start a club. Me, you, and Vorak can start the "Guys Who Got Married While Being A Member Of Expansionfleet" club. My wife and I will be celebrating our first anniversary on February 27th. I wish you the same happiness we've had over the past year.)

"Helm, initiate evasive pattern Sierra 2. Tactical, place phasers on point defense mode and ward off any incoming fire."

The Saucer Section began bobbing and weaving, firing phasers at torpedoes inbound on her.

"Emery, report!"

Emery: "Shields are down, sir! We've lost all weapons!"

=/\= Lieutenant Fitzgerald to Bridge! We're losing containment! Warp core breach in 45 seconds! =/\=

"d*mn!" Mitch taps his communicator.

=/\= All hands, this is Lieutenant Walker! Abandon ship! I repeat: abandon ship! =/\=

The bridge crew monitored all lifeboat signatures until they noticed all were away, then climbed into their own. With mere seconds to spare, the last officer climbed in and Mitch slammed the "Launch" panel. The lifeboat jolted as it rocketed from the exterior of the hull. Mitch turned around to see the lower stardrive section explode in a brilliant display.

We have arrived in sickbay and have doined environmental suits.   It apears that the control cluster of sickbays environmental system burned out in the battle and spread to rest of the environment systems in sickbay it will take a day or two to replace.  "

*In the back ground there is a loud snap heard and a person scream*

"Medical emergency Lock onto ensign Curtis and beam him to cargo bay 2.   Doc if you require any other supplies from sickbay let me know."

*The Vor'Cha Kahless was monitoring the Loxian's communications.  When the order to open fire was given, KHa'Var was ready.*

"Open fire on all near by Loxian ships!"

"Opening fire, several ships have been hit captain."

*The Vor'Cha Kahless fires upon 10 different Loxian ships from under the Flagship.  2 of the ships are disabled by direct hits to their warp generators.  The other ships have damage ranging from major to minor damage.*

after doing security checks all day bellanna almost falls asleep when suddenly she heard a sensors reporting that one of the eps manifolds shut down

Upon the Excalibur coimng into the fight the ship spies the escape pods and pick them up on the way through.

=/\= Captain Taurik I am Commander Mathew Moriarty of First Officer of the USS Excalibur. I have your crewmen from the escape pods Sir. They Are all doing well some suffering from a little over crouwding in the pods but they have returned to the fight like true Starfleet Personel. =/\=

Off: I was hoping it would be okay for them to post on the Excalibur for the time being till the end of the fight.

"Thank you doctor. "  

Gets up and walks out of sickbay.

Commander, weapons systems should be online in sections 1 and 2.  Run simulations and let me know of any problems.

Now mr Freeman I must tell you that this relief from pain may infulecne you judgement so it is not recommended that you use heavy equipment for 24 hours after I give it to you, But it should help you sleep for nearly that long any way. Hits Freeman with the Hypospray

=A= Priority One Encoded Message for Captain Taurik from Admiral Montrell =A=

"Captain Taurik, good to see you in one piece! I want to inform you about our plans to attack the Loxian flagship. We are about to board the ship with a small assault team and let them place several explosive charges. If they succeed, they will have a second objective. They will then try to gain access to their computers. Maybe we will be able to extract information, if not, we will blow the ship up without any hesitation.
But for this plan to work, we need you and other ships to concentrate their firepower upon their impulse and warpdrive. They may not, I repeat, NOT come closer to the station, or else we won't be able to blow the ship up. The exact point of infiltration and missionbriefing will be sent to you when the assault team is ready to go.
That was all Captain,I wish you good luck in the next couple of hours and I hope we speak again .

sir here's a tactical status off all weapons as well as our own inventory of weapons

"Commander Travis, you will once again command the primary stardrive section. Commander Freeman will be busy with battlefield repairs, so Lieutenant Walker, you have command of the secondary stardrive section. I will stay here on the saucer section."

(OFF: I'm on the station right now. Didn't you have a bar you wanted to start on the ship? That might help a bit.)

Mitch walks onto the bridge from astrometrics.  He nods to the captain and commander as he takes his seat. Mitch sits and taps a few buttons on his console.  

Captain. CAPTAIN!!. The U.S.S. Skytoucher has turned to attack our ships. It's either the ships been shanghaiied or the crew has been taken over. Something is majorly wrong!!! I am setting coordinates for evasive maneuvering to try to evade the skytoucher's firing. I strongly suggest full volley concentrating of the M-4 Photon torpedos to be focused on the flagship to divert the heaviest focus of their ship away from the Avalon base to us until problems can be figured out on what to do with the Skytoucher. Your call Captain. I will fire at your command at the Flagship with a focused volley of the M-4's. Firing phasers currently at the second Loxian ship.

(Another phaser was shot with another direct hit to knock the other small ship out of the atmosphere. )

Blast that is going to hurt. Ick. Awaiting orders. Shields holding at 90%. Weapons systems are holding at 100%. Weapons being reloaded and locked up for targeting. Weapons ready. Energy being diverted from what engineering has spared up coming up now. Shields holding 100% once more.

Scanners indicate Skytoucher crew are STILL on board. Their weapons are fully functional and their shields are holding. That's is what I am getting. Awaiting orders.

*The Loxian Prime Commander stands at the bridge, looking on the viewscreen at how the battle is progressing. Ships are firing and being fired upon all around his flagship, but it is clear that the Starfleet ships are suffering most damage. They are hopelessly outnumbered. The Prime Commander turns to his second-in-command.*
"Behold this battle. This is why we, the Loxian Government, are great, and people like Starfleet or the Loxian Exiles, are weak."
*At that moment, another officer informs the Prime Commander of an incoming hail from Avalon Station, stating that they want to know why the Loxians attack them, and that they prefer to talk instead of fight. The Prime Commander laughs.*
"Weaklings, that's what they are! Trying to get away with excuses of not knowing why we are attacking them. Open a channel to Avalon Station!"
*The other officer pushes some buttons.*
"Channel open, sir."
"Avalon Station, this is the Prime Commander of the Loxian Government fleet. We did not come all the way here with our fleet, spending our energy resources to fuel our ships and feed our men, just to talk to you! You know why we are here. You have captured some of our men, and we will not accept such an insult. For this insult, you will pay and suffer dearly. There is nothing to be talked about, except perhaps about how we will utterly wipe out your entire existance in the Delta Quadrant! Prepare to be destroyed!"
*Then he cuts the transmission. At that moment, the officer points his attention to the viewscreen, displaying the appearance of the U.S.S. Skytoucher.*
"Sensor readings match perfectly, sir! It is the ship that sent us the information from our spying device."
*The Prime Commander smiles.*
"Good, very good. They will be in for a surprise, when they find out how advanced our technology really is! Do you have the access codes of the Skytoucher?"
*The officer checks his panel.*
"I have them all right here, sir. All access codes of the ship as provided by the device. We can take full control over their ship at any time."
"Good. DO IT!"
*At that moment, the Skytoucher suddenly stops firing at Loxian ships, but remains hanging in space... The crew aboard the ship discovers that they are being locked out of all computer panels, no longer able to control any system of the ship.*
"Control of the ship has been tranferred to our ship, sir."
"Good. Now transmit orders to the ship's main computer, to come about and attack their own Starfleet ships instead! And set a self-destruct countdown for 10 minutes!"
*The officer puts the commands into his computer panel.*
"Aye sir, the ship is responding!"
*The Prime Commander turns back to the viewscreen, and sees how the Skytoucher opens fire on the U.S.S. Venture and U.S.S. Rivendell. Aboard the Skytoucher, the crew is entirely obvlious of what just happened, and hear a 10 minutes countdown of the ship's self-destruct sequence...*

Taurik was in the pure-white place again. He looked around, trying to find anyone or anything else here. He turned around, and behind him, was Sam Lavelle again.

"You have eluded us. This was unexpected. The destruction of Dantor was not supposed to be so difficult."

Taurik raised an eyebrow. "You persist in bringing me here. You were defeated at Dantor, as defeated as a Na'jigat could be. Starfleet has proved it's unwillingness to sumbit several times now."

Lavelle stared at Taurik with cold, unemotional eyes. "Starfleet has done nothing," he said. "The Gallifreyans defeated us. As they have for countless millenia, and vice-versa. And that is how it will continue. Every time the Gallifreyans save you from us, they become weaker. The Gallifreyans are not like us. They can be killed. Destroyed. And when they protect you, they sacrifice many of their own in their shift of priority."

"The Gallifreyans respect life, and willingly sacrifice themselves to save those of other species. The Na'jigat are obsessed by their all-consuming quest for food."

"We help maintain the balance. We are the necessary evil of the galaxy. The Gallifreyans are the Yin, and we are the Yang. Without either, the galaxy would not be complete. Keep this in mind, young corporeal..."

Taurik jolted awake, and extinguished his candle, and replaced it in his drawer. He sat in his chair and began to ponder his latest experience.

 We are docked.  Prepare a damage report on your tactical systems.  So far we have about 27 pages of damage on the list and it keeps growing.  Damage repair teams should be reporting within the hour.  Maybe we can get the ship semi functional.

Freeman wanders around the bridge adding data to his padd.  

Captain Taurik exits from the turbolift and sits in his Command chair.

Mitch spun around in his chair to face the captian's seat.

"Sir, permission to go to the astrometrics lab, we need to figure out who these ships are, with the astrometric sensors, I can better reference and determine how many ships there are."

Taurik's calm enter's the lietuenant's mind.  He is quieted.  Then he falls unconsious again.  

*At a steady speed, the Loxian Government fleet sets course toward the location of Avalon Station, unaware of the Klingon battleship hiding in their ion wake. On board the flagship, the largest of all, many Loxian officers are busily preparing for battle, as the Loxian Prime Commander stands on the bridge, waiting...*
Officer: "Prime Commander, we are arriving at Avalon Station!"
Prime Commander: "Put it on screen!"
*The viewscreen shows Avalon Station, in orbit around a planet nearby the vast Expansion Nebula.*
Prime Commander: "So the signals from the device of our spy did not lie. This is where our people are being held, no doubt! Kowan, Vakin, Varnek... We must find them, and silence them! Enough damage has been done, and it is time to avenge it! Signal all ships to drop out of warp!"
Officer: "Yes, prime commander!"
*In an instant, a large fleet of various different ships comes to full stop in front of Avalon Station...*
Prime Commander: "So it has come to it at last! Scan their defences!"
Officer: "The station's weapon and defence systems are armed and targetted, sir! Apart from the station, I can only scan one ship, right in front of it."
Prime Commander: "One ship, and one station... that's all? This will not be a long battle! Signal to the first squadron to line up in front of the station and their pity ship!"
Officer: "Aye, sir! Sending orders now!"
*Instantly, several smaller but still powerful ships form a line in front of the flagship, facing Avalon Station and the U.S.S. Venture. On board the bridge, the Prime Commander keeps looking at the viewscreen, when his second-in-command approaches him.*
"Prime Commander, may I remind you that we emptied the entire army system of Loxius, for just this cause alone? We could have handled it with far less ships, without having to leave our homeworld vulnerable."
Prime Commander: "Vulnerable for what? The Loxian Exiles? They are scared, hiding in that Cardassian station! But when we were there last, we fought a wary battle, with an entire fleet against only two of their ships, and their Cardassian station. Still we lost! And why? I'll tell you why! I have no idea why! They must have unleashed some weapon that just 'ate' our ships alive, something of a power cloud, I have no idea what it is. No, I will not make the same mistake twice, I will not underestamate them again. These Starfleet people are tricky, but this time I am prepared for them, and I will not return to Loxius until they are utterly crushed, so that there will not be spoken of them in the Delta Quadrant again! Is that understood?"
*The second-in-command nods and steps back, as another officer announces that the first squadron is ready at the frontline.*
"Good, very good. Signal all ships to open fire at my command! Three... two... one... FIRE!"
*Instantly, the frontline ships open fire at the Venture and Avalon Station. The battle has begun...*

*Chief Engineers log stardate 58018.1*
 Repairs to the Rivendell are complete save the missing third section.   It will still be a great deal of time for all three sections to be function.  
 I have finished programming the MVA mode to accept only section 1 and 2 and the ship has been reassembled.  
  Note in the log:  Avalon's engineers have been very helpful in the repairs of the ship without them it would have taken a great deal longer to get this far.

This is flag admiral Vorak speaking. The Loxian fleet is now only 12 minutes away from the station. Their fleet consists 200 ships, of which some are as large or even larger then our own starships. Their strength is more then anticipated, so we will have to use strategy to win this battle. Avalon Station has raised its shields, and no beaming in or out can take place as of this moment. U.S.S. Skytoucher, I am aware that captain Skon is still on board the station, but there is no time now. Commander Rasmain will temporarily assume command of the ship. The Skytoucher will, together with the U.S.S. Rivendell, withdraw into the Expansion Nebula as discussed at the briefing. You will form the element of surprise. The U.S.S. Venture will stand ready at the frontline before the station. When the Tiberon arrives, it can take the rear of the Loxian fleet. When the Skytoucher and Rivendell appear out of the nebula, they can take either side of the Loxian fleet, at which point we will have surrounded them. Proceed to your positions, and... good luck.

Yes Mr Walker your were affected by something while you were in the Holodeck and the Captain brought you here. He seems to have made a full recover though sir. He may return to duty when he feels like it.

*On board the Loxian flagship, the Prime Commander is looking at the viewscreen, as his ship is firing immediately upon the station.*
"Soon, this will be over, and Loxius will be the primary power of this sector again!"
*Suddenly, their weapons stop firing at the station. The Prime Commander turns around to look at his tactical officer.*
"Why did you cease fire! We've got a perfect opening now! Fire weapons, NOW!"
Tactical officer: "Sir, I'm being locked out of my panel. I can't access any system any more!"
"WHAT?"
Computer: "Auto-destruct sequence has been initiated. Countdown 5 minutes."
"WHAT?!?"
*The Prime Commander slams his fist on the chair arm.*
"Someone is tampering with our system! Get control back of the ship, NOW!"
*Suddenly, the Loxian flagship comes about to face its own smaller Loxian fighter ships, and opens fire... Instantly, 6 smaller fighters are destroyed. Next, a salvo of torpedoes is launched, destroying 4 more Loxian ships. No firepower is directed anywhere near the Starfleet vessels.*
Tactical officer: "Sir, we're destroying 10 of our own ships, and there's no way I can get access to any system at all... engines, weapons, shields... Not even the auto-destruct sequence!"
*The Prime Commander furiously gets up from his chair, pushes the tactical officer aside, and attempts to take control over the panel himself. But he too, is being locked out no matter what. At that moment, the flagship fires another salvo of torpedoes as well as disrupter fire, destroying 12 more ships.*
Computer: "Four minutes to auto-destruct."
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

OFF: In-character you don't know what is going on, but basically what happened is that the Skytoucher took control back over its own ship, as well as over the flagship.

"Aye sir.  Holding position."

*Slowly out of no-where the Vor'Cha Kahless limps into view of the station.  The ship is severly damaged, and a wonder to all that it did not explode yet.  A communications to Avalon Station is picked up by the Kahless.*

"I know this ship has taken a hevy beeting, but thanks to such fine warriors as yourselves, we are still ready to fight to the bitter end.

Perhaps the Captain can enlighten us a little bit on this coming threat we are preparing for things may have not gone well with your rendez vous on Avalon Station.

LOCK AND LOAD. Captain. I am firing. Captain.........................Ah. It's about time to show the loxian the true strength of the Rivendell.....................................May I suggest the split in three way of the ship to draw the ships away from the Venture and bring about a more evenly matched fight. Captain. Shields at still holding at 100%. Energy is being worked to divert to weapons.....Firing M-4 quantum torpedos Captain.

(As tactical fires, the volley of quantum torpedos are loaded and shot. FIRE ONE!. Three Loxian lead ships right in front of the Venture when blew on contact as the full fury of the volley smacked right out in front of the U.S.S. Venture. The explosion shook the other Loxian ships in surprise as they begin evasive maneuvering as the burning ships explode in front of them the suddenly. BOOM! Another explosion is heard from the right side of the U.S.S. Venture hit four Loxian battle ships in the process becomes obliterated by the firing of the second volley since the contact of the U.S.S. Rivendell came extremely close to the ships as it came out of hiding. A second volley was fired as THOSE ships took a hit from the second volley of the quantam torpedos as the ship comes into full battle ready for the battle to REALLY begin. The Venture's shields getting skidded off pieces of Loxian's debris is scattering off it's shielding. As the Loxian ships begin to reform for the another assault, The Rivendell comes in to show holy #### and d*mnation before any life will be lost on this base or any ship.......................NOT today.........................:).)

"Sir, the battle is not progressing exactly as planned. Half our fleet is disabled or destroyed, and this ship had suffered some damage too. Starfleet has apparently received some reinforcements of other ships."
Prime Commander: "Then repair the damage to our ship! Those ships that were destroyed, suffered this fate because they were obviously too weak! It is only what they deserved! We still have 88 operational ships, which is far more then what Starfleet has come up with."
"But prime commander, their ships are..."
Prime Commander: "I don't want to hear it! Activate the ship's engines, we're pushing through the lines to attack Avalon Station itself! Prepare teams to board the station. If we can criple their station, where their attacks are apparently being coordinated from, then they will be in chaos."
"But sir..."

"Yes sir..."
*The large flagship begins moving closer to Avalon Station.*

Well. Commander. I will have that report on your desk in 24 to 72 hours. I am continue working on tactical systems. Here is my list of supplies for tactical systems for avalon station if anyone gets a chance to go get them. I will return to restoring the shield systems. Diagnostic is nearly complete. I am estimating a few days before shields and weapons are functional once again if I work constantly in the saucer section anyway.

Mitch taps his console, bringing up navigational sensors.  The scan locates warp signatures and approximates them at 15 minutes away.

"Sir...navigational sensors have detected warp signatures..."  He calls over his shoulder, "Lt. Baklavar, are they Loxian?"

OFF: by my calculations there are about 88 fully operational Loxian vessels in total, including the 2 very large ships.  There are about 12 ships damaged (including the flagship).  22 of the ships are disabled.

Off: I am sorry for not posting lately. I plan to take a two week personal leave of absence from expansion for personal reasons. I hope this does not cause any inconvenience. I will hopefully see you all soon. The Sinfully Delight Cuisine Topic will be on hold until then. Thank you.

Mitch nodded to his commanding officer and headed to the turbolift.  

"Deck 5."  

The lift deposited him on the appropriate deck and Mitch headed for his room.  Once inside, the lieutenant put on his sleeping attire and laid on his bed and fell asleep.

Before Mitch can respond KHa'Var takes her leave and Mitch is left talking to open space.  

"Thank you Captian."  Mitch turns to the crew.

"Everyone report to your respective heads on the Rivendell, get checked out by Medical and get some rest.  Excellent work out there people."  

A murmur of thank you's and such were heard from the crew as they went about their business.

**ON the Rivendell**  
Mitch heads to the bridge.  As he exits the turbolift he is greeted by Starfleet's best engineers working on the ship.  He stops Freeman.  

"Commander, where is the captian?  I need to speak with him."

Taurik grabs onto the lieutenant on the biobed, who is thrashing wildly.

"Lieutenant, calm yourself. Listen to me, you must calm your mind."

He places his fingers upon Walker's temples again, but rather than initiate another meld, he tries to transfer some of his inner calm to Walker.

The ensign at the helm responded to the captian's request by sending a message to Ops for disengagement.  Mitch entered the bridge from the turbolift.  He relieved the ensign and slipped into the seat in front of the helm and began the disengagement from Avalon.

"Ops has cleared us for disengament...coming around 1/2 impulse....engaging thrusters sir."

The Rivendell slipped easily out into space into a defensive position in front of Avalon Station.

"We are in postion Captain."

--Captain Taurik, Saucer Section--

Taurik was jolted in his chair. The ship was coming under heavy Loxian fire.

"Return fire. Redistribute shield power to cover weak points in the grid."

Tactical: "Aye, sir."

Two bright blue quantum torpedoes sailed from the Rivendell, the first smashing what was left of the Loxian corvette's shields, the other tearing into her hull.

Operations: "Their engines and power grid are both down."

"Transport the survivors to the brig."

Operations: "Aye... Seven prisoners are now in the brig, Captain."

--Lieutenant Mitch Walker, Secondary Stardrive Section--

Engineer: "Lieutenant, sir, we have a hull breach on deck 16!"

"Send repair teams! Emery, give those Loxians everything we have!"

Tactical Officer Emery: "Yes, sir, but that's not much! We're losing power to the ventral phaser arrays!"

"Then shunt power from the warp drive!"

Emery: "Aye, Lieutenant."

The young tactical officer begins working furiously, having to shift his attention between rerouting warp power and keeping the weapons blazing.

"Report!"

Operations: "Shields are at 38 percent, Lieutenant. We can't take this much longer!"

Emery: "Sir, we just launched our last torpedo!"

"We've used 350 torpedoes already?!"

Emery: "Yes, sir! We're down to phasers only!"

"Then keep those phasers firing!"

*With the battle displayed on the Ares view screen commander malcolm notices the main ship heading towards avalon*

*thinking quickley the commander orders an increase in speed,trying to beat the ship to the station, it focuses all of its firepower on it*

"Aye sir."  Mitch rises from his chair. And heads for the turbolift.  The lift deposits him on the secondary section.  The crew is already in place.  Mitch sits in the command chair.  He taps his combadge.

As Lt Walker slipped back into unconsiousness I move forward and Start to do the Scans to help him. After a few moments the Captain leaves to return to his duties and I continue.

(OFF:  LOL!  I'm glad you had fun!  I enjoyed reading your posts.  About the destruction...that is entirely understandable, you make a very valid point, to be honest I would have done the same thing I think.  But I wasn't sure if I could do that.  Anyhow, thanks again for filling in, you actually protrayed my character quite well - in fact better than I, oh well, that what I get for letting a Vulcan with years of pent up emotions take the reigns of a complicated human with the ablity to express his own feelings!   )

I have also taken liberty to make sure all weapons are re-stocked for all your sections for your approval when all assembly is completed for that ship. You are in nearly tactical efficiently from weapons supplies and tactical stand point of view and from what sections we have left from what I have read from Morgan Freeman's reports.......

Gotcha Captain. Shields are at 100%. Weapons engaged and ready to fire. Wow. What a fleet. Target practice will be fun. Captain and Commanders. Do we dis-engage and fight as three to improve our odds against them in our fight. Loxian ships coming in ten minutes. Captain. Photon torpedos and phaser are locked when ready. At your command. Lock and load. Everyone.

Mitch sees Taurik enter the bridge.  He rises from behind his console.

"Sir...I would like to apologize for the destruction of the secondary stardrive section.  I don't know what happened captain, one minute everything was fine, the next it was gone..."  The young lieuteant's voice trails off...he doesn't know what to say to his captian.

The Doctor Calls the Captain to give his report on the medical centre, Captain The Sickbay is in full running order I have replaced the stock that was used during the war and now ready for the next mission sir I have laid the Staff to down time rosters sir, which mean we are skeleton  staff on roster while the others stay rested sir.

Initiating Docking Procedures, Captain. I think we ALL need a good drink at the Celtic Corner. What say yee. Captain.

(A ferengi smile of wariness appears in his face. A look of relief and pride at the same time is shown in the way he speaks. A ferengi WITH pride. What is ths Starfleet going too. .)

Taurik straightens his uniform.

"Time until the fleet arrives?"

I believe Miss Belanna has sent out the message for shuttlebay to send out the Arwen and the Dannath and firing out at the engines of the flagship. Quite nice handiwork. My dear. You read the Captain's mind and my own. (He chuckles in the background then seriously reminds himself that they are in battle)

(As Miss Belanna shoots her target. DIRECT HIT! on the engines of the Loxian ship. A very nasty weak point at that. Shaking the Loxian flagship slightly curving it at an angle!!)

Ah snikes. I do need to fire at will do I. Long range sensors indicate the shields are losing their potency and the hull and engines are taking a hit on the Loxian flagship. They seem to be slowing down dramatically for their velocity is dropping and slowing to a floating in space. I believe their shields are dropping to below 50%. Captain. We are penetrating Captain!!

(Solark sets coordinates for another shot and fires at will. A miss..................... . BOOM!!! The Rivendell Saucer takes another hit coming from non other than the Skytoucher phaser fire.)

Blast......Shields are down to 50%. Captain. Sensors are still functioning. We are taking damage in the hull area the underside of our ship. Ouch. We can still maintain control though. Maneuverability may be slightly hindered with flight control navigations.)

Freeman sticks his head out from underneith the engineering station looking rather dissheppled.

"Well cap, to be honest with you just from all that I have been over so far its going to take about 8 weeks just to get these 2 sections repaired and to get the computer to reconnect with only 2 sections.  I bypassed it for now but we can't go into MVA mode again.  
 But, I know you want it before 8 weeks so we will get it done in 6.    If the station will give us 2 full repair crews."

Freeman hands Captain Taurik a padd with a very lenghtly   list of repairs on it.  Then hands him another padd.

"here are the needed repairs and a list of supplies that we need from the station."

*The crew of the Danath is beamed aboard the Kahless moments before it blows up.  The Danath crew find themselves on the bridge of a Klingon ship.*

"Welcome to the Kahless.  I am KHa'Var captain of this fine ship.  I regret that we could not reach you sooner, and save the Danath."

*The bridge of the Kahless is as much a mess as the debries floating about the battle field.*

"However I must say my ship has seen calmer days.  We are heading to Avalon Station, for repairs and it seems that there is a bit of a line-up.  But no worries, we shall get you safely back to your assigned ship."

**INSIDE MITCH'S MIND**
Mitch was fighting in his mind.  Struggling to stay concious, but it wasn't working.  He thought he had seen the captain.  He tried to call to him, but his mouth wouldn't move.  Suddenly sound exploded from his mouth.

"CAPTIAN!"  Mitch screamed and then started thrashing violently.

Travis walks onto the bridge.

"My apoligies Captain i realize i was absent longer than i specified but something came up. I hope i wasn't replaced"

--Captain Taurik, Saucer Section--

"No, we must distract the Loxian flagship. Send word to the shuttlebay to dispatch the Arwen and the Danath. Send them out to begin retrieving the crew."

The ship shakes from a hit from a plasma cannon.

"Helm, input attack pattern Echo 6. Tactical, target engines and fire at will."

--Lieutenant Mitch Walker, Escape Pod--

Mitch shifted around on the acceleration couch within the somewhat cramped pod interior. The pods were meant to seat five, but there were seven on this pod. He maneuvered the attitude control stick slightly, and thumbed the thruster trigger. The porthole revealed the battle, calming down relatively, but still blazing. Their pod was uncomfortably close to the battle. The verbal silence in the cabin was broken by a young science officer.

Officer: "Lieutenant, are we ever going to make it back to the Rivendell? There's a good chance we'll get hit by stray weapons fire, or be accidentally rammed by a careless Loxian pilot."

"Look, Ensign. The last thing we need to be doing is worrying about our own sorry skins. There are hundreds of thousands of people on that station, many of whom are civilians. This makes no difference to the Loxians. They would kill officers, merchants, even mothers and their children without hesitation or remorse. The odds were against us when we went into this battle, and they're against us now. Chances are, yes, we will die out here. But I would be proud to have died fighting the Loxians."

*The ares just bairley beats the Flagship to the station, then it does an about face, facing head on with the flagship, the ares aims its weapons towards the flagship and begins to barrad (not sure if correct term) the flagship forcing it to find a different path to avalon...the flag ship still continues to bombard the ares,but the ship holds...*

Mitch walked to the rear cabin of the overcrowded runabout, which was carrying almost twenty-five crewmembers.

"First thing, good job people. We fought hard until the bitter end. I'm proud of you all..."

There were several acknowledgements from the weary Starfleet officers.

"...but we're not done yet!" He pressed a comm button on the wall. "Helm, take us into the fray. Punch a hole in one of the smaller ship's shields." A chorus of responses came over the line, and Mitch let up on the button.

"Everyone grab a phaser. We're stealing one of those corvettes."

"I'm sure we will get a full report from Commander Rasmain after the battle, Lieutenant."

(OFF: Yes, that is what I had in mind also, but I have been busy and unable to post it. I will have to clear the idea with Admiral Montrell, but for now, you can serve as a Medical Assistant.)

Travis gets up.

"Begin scanning for Loxian vessels."

Taurik begins to mentally prepare himself for the coming battle.

"Open a channel to the Skytoucher using the codes. Orpheus, prepare for transfer."

Orpheus: "Ready, Captain."

"Initiate transfer."

"Aye Commander."  

The Rivendell hooks around the Venture taking some of the fire off of her.

"I was going to express my apologies for the destruction of the secondary stardrive section.  I suppose it can wait however."

Mitch glances over at the helm console.

"It looks as though I should start working on repairs until the captain gets back....Great Scott!"

As numerous Loxian corvettes, cruisers, and destroyers surrounded and pummelled the Starfleet station and it's defenders, the U.S.S. Tiberon began spooling down it's warp drive to assist in the battle. A hail came through for all Starfleet units in the area:

=/\= This is Captain Karelia of the Starship Tiberon. Our ETA is 30 seconds. Hope you haven't started the party without us... =/\=

Moments later, the large Akira Class destroyer dropped out of subspace, passing mere meters from the bow of the heavily damaged Skytoucher and immediately began opening up all weapons banks on the Loxian vessels.

**IN MITCH'S QUARTERS**
Mitch awoke feeling very rested.  The clock said that he had several hours until he had to report for a duty shift.  Mitch got up and showered.  Then he shaved.  
Mitch grabbed a pair of Wrangler jeans and a button up shirt.  Mitch slipped on his cowboy boots donned his cowboy hat and grabbed his saddle from its wooden stand as he headed to Holodeck 2 for a ride.

Outside the holodeck Mitch tapped a few of the controls.
"Computer activate program Walker Texas 3."

Computer:  Program activated, enter when ready.

**ON THE HOLODECK**
Mitch took a deep breath smiled and stepped into the holodeck.  An exact holographic replica of his uncle's barn in Texas stood all around him.  He walked up to his horse, Duke, and threw his saddle over the stall door.  He slid a piece of carrot from his shirt pocket.  "Here you go boy.  Let's get out of here shall we?"  Mitch soon had Duke tacked up and walked him out to the arena and trotted around a bit to get loosened up and then took off across the Texas countryside.

 "Repairs to the Rivendell are coming along slowly.  Avalon Station has been very helpful in assisting in repairs.  Hopefully within the next month or two we will have humpti dumpti back together again. "

"Commander, applying for a new executive officer would take longer to go through Starfleeet Command than the duration of time you have been absent. Consider logic when you say such things, Commander."

(OFF: Just having a little Vulcan fun . I don't really mean it...)

Mitch stirred...he moaned and his eyes fluttered open.  Then he sat up.  

"What am I doing in Sickbay?"

OFF: Not THAT fast, please. You should also check what is going on on the Skytoucher, and Avalon Statin (Ops, a new topic is opened for it). They haven't even mentioned the arrival of the fleet yet, and the Skytoucher is still in briefing of the senior officers. We need to keep things consistent with each other, so don't open fire just yet, until Vorak gives the order. By the way, the plan for the Skytoucher and Rivendell was to hide inside the nebula, wasn't it?

Travis watched as the Loxians bombared the Galaxy Class.

"Take some fire off the Venture, take us around it and fire on the attacking ships. Let her breathe"

Off: Captain you blew up my ship!!!  We better get a new section or I better get more parts to build one.

Systems are repaired and your back in the fight.  I found you more power to shields and they are now back up to 90%  I have sent all 8 of the antimatter container weapons to the primary torpedo launcher.  
I lost 4 of my engineers but we arre still kicking it in there.   Remember the Arwen has a shield scanning system to violate a ships shields.

"Aye sir, engaging."  

A few taps on the console and the Rivendell veered towards the nebula.  Soon it disappeared into the whispy clouds.

There was no answer from the other side.

"Computer, locate Lieutenant Walker."

"Lieutenant Walker is on Holodeck Two."

Taurik walked to the nearest turbolift and went to Deck Thirteen, and paused outside Holodeck Two. He pressed a button on the wall panel to open the door. Once the door pulled into the wall, Taurik saw Lieutenant Walker laying on the floor, unconscious. He walked over to him and felt for his pulse, which was present, but almost gone. taurik sensed a strange energy coming from Walker, and leaned in toward him, and placed his fingertips on Walker's temple. He then realized since they couldn't sway him, they had gone for the human, known to have considerably less mental resolve that Vulcans. Taurik placed his fingers on strategic points along Walker's face, and braced himself. He did not want to go back, but he had no choice.

"My mind to your mind. My thoughts to your thoughts. My mind to your mi--"

For the third time, Taurik stood in the abyss. Lavelle was there, but this time, a third figure was present. In the pure whiteness, Taurik had  to squint slightly to make out the new one's face. It was Walker, as he had expected.

"Why have you abducted this man? He has done nothing. Filling his mind with your philosophic ideas will serve you no good. As will filling mine. What do you hope to do by convincing us of this?"

Lavelle spoke in his usual emotionless voice. "If you do not know the answer to that, you are more feeble than we thought."

"I fail to understand. You have given me nothing to base a hypothesis of your motives on. For a race of pure mental energy, it seems logic escapes you quite often."

"We will leave you. For now. Just remember, there are those in the universe that are more than they appear."

Taurik wakes up slowly, and takes his hand from Walker's head. The young lieutenant shifts slightly, but is for the most part unconscious. Taurik picks Walker up from the cold hologrid and carries him to Sickbay, laying him on a biobed.

"Doctor, Lieutenant Walker has suffered severe mental trauma. I believe he has had an encounter with the Na'jigat."

OFF: Captain have you heard anything From fleet Admiral Vorak about my change of position.

OFF 2: Mr Baklavar pain for humours sake, Juast face it your a sadist.

ON: Walking on to the bridge I see lt Baklavar get zap twice and go over with the emergency medical kit that I was carrying.

"Is everyone else up here okay."

Yes I probably do have something I can give you Mr Freeman, I can call you that can't I, but first I would like to get a good and proper scan of what is happening.

A few moments of discussion and scanning later, Mr Freeman do you have any allergies to any of the known Beta Blockers.

*The Loxian flagship continues firing upon its own Loxian ships. One by one, they are disabled or destroyed... The Prime Commander looks at the viewscreen in despair.*¨
"Has anyone been able to regain control over their station yet? ANYONE?"
*But everyone answers negative. There seems to be no way to regain control over the ship.*
Computer: "Two minutes to auto-destruct."
*The Prime Commander cries out in rage.*
"It must have been the Loxian spy device on that ship! SOMEONE must have decided to use it against us, and betrayed us!"
*While out in space, more and more Loxian ships get destroyed, if not by the flagship then by Starfleet, the Prime Commander's second in command approaches him.*
"Sir, we must abandon the ship. It is going to explode in less then two minutes, and if we remain here we will all be killed. It is impossible to regain control over the ship in less time than that."
*The Prime Commander sighs in defeat.*
"You are right... How many ships of us are left intact?"
*Another officer pushes some buttons on his panel.*
"Umm... only 12... no, make that 11... No, just 10 now... In fact..."
*The Prime Commander stops him.*
"I get the idea! We're lost! The entire Loxian fleet is destroyed, and all we can do is save ourselves and limp back home!"
*Then he turns to his second in command.*
"Find the Loxian ship in the best shape available still. We will beam over there and make our escape."
*The second-in-command nods, pushes some buttons and locates one of the ships.*
"The one over there in the rear wing, sir. It is one of the few ships left sustaining minimum damage. Shall I announce the other ships to retreat as well?"
*The Prime Commander gives him a stern look.*
"No! They will not know of our escape. They will continue fighting to the death!"
"But..."
"THAT is my decision!"
Computer: "One minute to auto-destruct."
"We're running out of time, we have to go!"
*Suddenly, some of the other bridge officers jump up.*
"Sir, aren't we to come with you and beam over to that one Loxian fighter?"
*The Prime Commander looks around with a grim smile.*
"There just isn't enough space on one fighter, for all the people on this ship. But you will have the honour to die in the line of duty to your Loxian Government."
*The officers want to jump up in protest, but the Prime Commander swiftly takes his disrupter weapon, and fires upon them. Then he nods at his second-in-command.*
"Time to go now, there's nothing left here for us, but the taste of defeat."
*They leave the bridge and head to the transporter room. Soon thereafter, they beam over to the Loxian fighter... As the battle goes on in space, the flagship destroying the last remaining Loxian fighters, one of the fighters retreats and goes to warp, back to the Loxian homeworld, but everyone else is too busy with the battle to notice it. The last surviving Loxian ships fire in despair on the Starfleet vessels, but they are now hopelessly outnumbered and outgunned... And then the final moment happens... The Loxian flagship violently explodes, destroying two more Loxian fighters in the shockwave, and space is filled with debris. Only two small and heavily damaged Loxian fighters remain... facing the fleet of Starfleet ships in a much better shape... There is no winning this battle, and the two Loxian fighters soon realise this... Instead of fighting on against their enemy, they admit in defeat and set course toward each other... In a matter of moments, they collide with each other and both explode... Only debris is left, no Loxians survivors... An entire fleet is obliterated, thousands of Loxians are killed. But the battle is over...*

OFF: don't go after the one escaped Loxian fighter, the idea is that nobody noticed it... They won't form a threat any more anyway, but they need to be able to return to their homeworld for another different, future storyline.

"Aye sir, full impulse!"  The Rivendell burst from the Expansion nebula, into open space, heading for the Loxian fleet.

"No. Be prepared to fire the torpedoes in a dispersal pattern among the fleet, to do as much damage to as many ships as possible.

OFF: sorry for the delay in the mission, a few other events are playing out first before we can continue with this one. It will not be much longer, so that should give you some time to prepare the ship for some fierce battle.

Taurik steps off the turbolift onto the bridge.

"Admiral Montrell was not present. Commander Freeman, how are the repair preparations progressing?"

"I will be in my quarters. Lieutenant Muzzereli, you have the bridge."

Taurik leaves the bridge, and retreats to his quarters. There, he removes a candle and it's support from a drawer and sets it on the table, lighting it. He then kneels in front of the table and begins his meditation.

(OFF: If anyone goes to the bridge, just take over for "Lieutenant Muzzereli". I made that crewman up since I wasn't sure who was on the bridge.)

Mitch enters from the turbolift, uniform shirt has been removed revealing the sleeveless shirt underneath.  His hair is a mess and he also looks unkepmt his usually smooth face is darkened with facial hair.  The young lieutenant looks haggard as though he has not slept in days.  He runs his fingers through his hair in an attempt to straighten it and walks up to the captain.  

"Sir, the navigational computers are set up to recieve the new connectors for the 3rd section.  I'm ready for my next assignment sir."

OFF:  I would like to apologize for not being around for several weeks.  I left for Christmas break and my parent's don't have a computer.  And I have a wedding to plan as I got engaged over the break and I will be getting married in May of this year.

*transmitting*. AI System Offline.

Yes sir I would like to supervise the repair efforts of the ship.  Just out of curiosity are we going to build a new 3rd section?

With all the people that were standing arond in the sick bay it was starting to warm up.

A few minutes after this I turned to the captain. I was about to say something to him when I smelt smoke.

Okay everyone out of the sick bay. Emt in Cargo bay two.

OFF: Well. Be back in four days at least until I can post again. Work once more. . Then. I will assume tactical station until you have order for me to lock and load and fire. Hopefully by the time it happens. I be back in time to post once more. Perhaps actually doing a battle with you guys for a change without me going to work. LOL. And please DON'T send me to the medical bay again. I am only gone for four days in a cycle at a time. Thank you. Just have me fire or something if I don't return so quickly. No biggie. lol. "No. Hold our position, Lieutenant. Any break in the line could allow the Loxians a clear line of fire towards Avalon Station."

Bravo. Sounds like a party on the Celtic Corner tonight. ####. Yeah. Firing at will at the smaller Loxian ships and a shot right in the Flag Ship. Phaser fire is set. Shields are maintaining at 30%. Tactical efficiency at 60% and Navigational system are working with minor fluctuations of the controls. We have taken damage in the hull and impulse engines. You guys are just having enough of a time maneuvering this bad boy.This would be like shooting game at an arcade on old earth from what I have read.

(Solark fires phasers in five shots in sequence giving power a chance to recharge in sequence. Two shot down with shields already knocked out from the Flagship attacks. One miss. one ship got knocked out its navigation systems by a stray phaser and crashed into a Loxian larger vessel. The fifth shots was a direct hit into the impulse engines of the Loxian flagship. Sparks are beginning to pulsate out of the impulse engines of the Loxian Flag Ship.)

"Permission denied. You have worked hard enough over the past two weeks. There is little to be done on the third section until materials from Earth arrive, and overexertion of the chief engineer will not contribute to the ship's spaceworthiness."

OFF: Yes Captain.

ON: =/\= Medical Offcier ONeil Here Captain Sickbay is ready for any problems we have sir. =/\=

Ai. Captain. I will set defense point on  phasers and put ourselves in defensive mode. Captain. Shields are holding at about 70%. Firing at will.

(Solark works the phasers within seconds. One complete annilation of a smaller Loxian vessel and yet another skidding right into the range of the exploding vessel taking some damage but still flying. As he watches the screen. He sees the other section of the Rivendell about completely shut down and a small vessel seems to rushing out of it.)

Captain. I believe a section of our ships is completely shut down and hurting badly. I just noticed the vessel. According to our sensors, it's a escape vessel. I believe our crew is in trouble. Do you want me to send a message to transporter room to prepare to beam aboard our crew. Firing once more.

(Another phaser shot out glancing a near by Loxian vessel before it diverted it's attention elsewhere.......................)

--Captain Taurik, Saucer Section--

"Signal the stardrive section to re-integrate."

Operations: "Sir, the docking clamps are damaged. We can't re-integrate."

"I see." Taurik taps his commbadge.

=/\= U.S.S. Rivendell to Avalon Station. We request clearance for two docking spaces. We cannot re-integrate and need to dock separately. =/\=

"Well, this is fun."

During the last moments of the battle, the Danath had tried to dock with a Loxian ship, only to have it destroyed right on top of them. The debris had smashed the Danath and the small runabout was now drifting, disabled and helpless.

"See if you can raise the station."

Officer: "I might... ok... got it!"

=/\= Runabout Danath to Avalon Station. We are disabled and need assistance. Life support is failing and we are without power. I repeat, this is the Danath, and we need immediate assistance. =/\=

Mitch stood up and tested his feet.

"Sir, do you mind if I go and change my clothes?"  

Mitch motioned to his jeans and tank top, which was soaked in sweat.  He grabbed his shirt from the stool next to the biobed.  

"Then could I see you in your ready room?"

The Venture moved about coming to the side of the Loxians. They fired Photon Torpedos at several of the smaller ships and phasers after disabling 5 and destroying 2. They did the best they could to come into the lines of the Loxians letting off Anti-Matter Mines.
