Mission 9: The Evolution's Flight

In sickbay the newest edition to the medical staff Tia a medical assistent, is fussing around, unsure of what to do as this is her first post. She can feel the tension on the ship rising

Freeman calls to the bridge

=A= Helm, match course with the evolution.  Baphomet start scanning everything and prep the ship for MVA Mode.  Lt Matthews, red alert. =A=

Stand by for emergency beamout.

Begin recovery operations for the survivors of the Evolution.

Understood, Commander return to the Rivendell as soon as you can.

After a few moments the 3 sections of the Rivendell slide back together again.  All of the Evolutions crew is onboard.

Lt. Commander Baphomet, as acting XO of the USS Rivendell went down to the brig where Lt. Williams had just placed ex-Captains Randall Sanchez and Taurik.

Baphomet stood in front of the force fielded Brig compartment with PADD in hand and awaited their attention.

Once they were looking at her, she stated...

"As acting Executive Officer of the USS Rivendell it is my duty to list the charges against.

Captain Taurik, the charges against you are;
-Dereliction of duty
-Placing of crew under your command in unnecessary peril
-Fraternizing with a known Starfleet criminal
-Assisting in the theft of a Starfleet vessel
-Inciting an unprovoked conflict with a non-federation civilization without just cause
-Destruction of a Starfleet vessel, pre-dismantling

Captain Randall Sanchez, the charges against are;

-Theft of Starfleet property
-Dereliction of duty
-Failure to follow direct orders from a superior Officer
-Inciting an unprovoked conflict with a non-Federation civilization without just cause
-Placing the crew under your Command in unnecessary peril
-Undermining the principles of which you swore to uphold

Captains Sanchez and Taurik, under Starfleet maritime statute and for the record to be sent to the Judge Advocate General of the Space Station Avalon, do you have anything to say to these charges and how do you plead."

Baphomet lowered the PADD and awaited their reply, to be recorded.

*On the Rivendell's bridge the computer beeped as thousand Evolution decoys popped up on there sensors heading in different directions and supposedly exiting warp, while some was back tracking, but in the mess the real Evolution continued on there journey*

"Commander Freeman, we are entering the Loxius star system.
Sensors indicate 3 Capital ships, 5 support cruisers and 15 Fighter-class shuttles."
Debris is littered throughout our entry vector, with minor skirmishes still going on throughout extreme orbital glide of Loxius Prime."

"I am analyzing a succesful approach through. the dense asteroid field."

Baphomet turns to look at Tactical display.

"But seeing as Captain Sanchez has been here, at least once before, it is reasonable to assume he knows of an efficient route through the field."

"Lt. Commander Baphomet to Captain Sanchez and Commander Freeman, I am ready to help relay the mass beaming protocol."

**Vulcan Shuttle Kelata**

"Acknowledged Commander."

Before Baphomet followed her orders, she beamed Spock to the Rivendell.
Once the transport was complete, she cloaked the Kelata and took off for the Loxian surfice.

After a thorough scan, a Vulcan Bio-sign showed up on the bio-sensors.

Baphomet returned the vessel back to her present position, decloaked and contacted the Rivendell again.

"Sir, Taurik is on the surfice in a crashed Freighter situated on the plains outside the capital of Loxius Prime.
There are several battalions, hover-tanks and APC converging on their location.
Coordinates are; 35 degrees, 15', 22" N by 25 degrees, 16', 35" E.
Time is short Commander."

"Commander Freeman, this is Baphomet, the battle is over sir."

"I must admit, I did not expect this from my crew. But it is no matter."

Taurik turns to Baphomet. "Commander, it would be prudent to postpone legal process until we are in the presence of the judiciary council."

[Baphomet]

"Captain, as the Evolution has two hours on the Rivendell, might I sugest that Commander Freeman and I take the Kelata a head of the Rivendell to appraise the situation."

Baphomet looks at Morgan for conformation, then to Taurik.

"It would be logical for a faster vessel with a cloak to go ahead and then report back to the larger vessel, in this respect; the Kelata to the Rivendell."

[Baphomet]

Lt. Commander Baphomet, Chief Science Officer of the USS Rivendell, notices that a Subspace hail went out from the USS Evolution to a small group of rebel vessels and reported the call.

"Commander, the Evolution is hailing a nearby group of Loxian rebels."
