Commander Cook only smiled. "Ah sir... I'll work on making sure they think we have a full armada out their... I am sure I can whip something together in the science bays... So no worries about me." He was silently looking at the red shirt personal, and wondered if he would see them alive, he didn't like the sound of hand loading Torpedoes to be fired at an enemy, he felt it was dangerous, but he didn't say anything because other people were saying it already.

"Ma'am." Swift said as he looked at the tactical screen. "They don't seem to be retreating." He put the phasers to maximum strength then paused  in his actions. "Winston Churchill once said 'A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.' Today we have the opportunity to destroy Heeran vessels and I'm ready to take it."

if need be i can send a guy to assist in fixing the science bay console. i can spare an officer or two. In answer to your question mam, it depends really on what kind of warp drive the lothlorien is using. its a much older ship then the defiant class. Many advances have come since then. but im sure i could figure something out. Captain Titan, is is possible to get some plasma tranfered to the Iroqouis?

"Aye Ma'am." Swift said and kept a constant scan running with a subroutine that told the computer to alert him when it detected Herran vessels. He was glad he got to act as the chief tactical officer for a while,. but it also made him frown. He was already capable to holding the position and fulfilling all of his duties yet once they were back at SS Avalon he would be back to being a no good ensign and it would be years before he got the rank and position that actually challenged him. He sighed and kept an eye on the scan, it was best to take it in while it lasted. After all he would be back to handing out phasers in no time.

*after arriving at the entrance of main engineering, Teranis takes a deep breathe before entering and meeting his new engineering crew. He walked in with a Lt., a few ensigns and couple of crewman. All who saluted the Lt.Commander as he entered.*

Now we have that our of the way i want a full report including ships status. *after recieving a report from the Lt., he walked over to a lcars panel and start working on improving the ship from stock starfleet standards, to his own approved and improved standards.*

Lurado had just arrived at the door to sickbay when the call for him came. He turned quickly, and took a quick pace walk to the turbolift again, quickly again getting back on the bridge.

*takes power from the replicators to boost the sensors to a range at which they could detect the freighter barely holding intact. Shields are about to fail and its definately a heraan cruiser attacking it.*

By now, the Heraan ships which had been firing at the Iroquois had been destroyed, or nearing destruction, from the last torpedo fire from the Iroquois damaged weapons system. The Iroquois sat dead in space, without impulse engines or warp drive, almost no weapons. Targeting sensors were offline, the deflector was flucuating, and general scans could not be taken. The ships emergency power was engaged, and the light was a distasteful dim. Only one thing was a relief: There was peace. Even among the damage and danger of being stuck, there was some calm permitted after the combat.

Ensign Swift, check out the cargo bays. It sounds like stuff we can take on, towing the frieghter may slow us down too much. I suggest we take on what we can and destroy the rest. The ship is pretty much unsalvagable and we don't want the Herran to obtain our technology. Do you aggree captain?
