Title: Mission 10: A flight to D.A Space
Post by: FredLurado on July 24, 2005, 10:59:23 PM
"Let me know as we arrive to the DA Borders. We must not show any kind of threat to them, keep weapons from powering up and so on. Helm, be sure to go nothing over 3.999 warp speed when we enter thier space, thier regulations are quite strict".

OOC: My intention:)

He entered the conference room and took a seat at the far end, awaiting the rest of the needed crew to arrive. He sat for a moment looking again at the assignment information, and directing the computer to put visual charts on the monitor on the other end of the room.

Off: Unfortionately, this site isn't all that dial-up friendly anymore....it take over 5 minutes just to get here from the main page after clicking the "mission boards" link. No way I am going to surf the site to try to view the databases....sorry.

Lurado nods, and enters the bridge.
"Chancellor, it is a pleasure to see you, and a relief. I am Captain Fred Lurado, the ship is the USS Skytoucher. On behalf of the federation, I greet you. We are yours to lead on, I have briefed my officers on your regulations, we are prepared to follow them and persue peace, in order to return relations to a good friendship".
He ended, and awaited a response.

*Rasmain was standing aside the Captain and then whispered*

"Seems that the conflicts in Delta Alliance Space are still not completely over, but maybe I speak too soon"

OFF: Do we still have other crewmembers active? I know that the story was "slow" for some weeks but we would like to have your input again!

=A= Mission Briefing =A=

TO: Captain Lurado
FROM: Fleet Admiral Montrell
Subject: New mission instructions

Captain Lurado, I hereby inform you that the Skytoucher and it's crew have new orders and need to disembark as soon as possible.

Information
We have had communications with an Yzakian Representative  of the Delta Alliance. He informed us that the civil war, which had abrubtly ended relations between the Federation and the D.A, ended. He told us that the peace and balance has been restored in the D.A and they really want to revive the relations between our organisations. They suggested that Dantor, as it's the closest Starfleet Station to their space, will now become an important crossroad for communications and perhaps trading.
It seems that they are eager to restore communications with us, but before we act or decide upon anything we will accept their invitation to visit one of their worlds. This will ofcourse be a mission with a diplomatic priority.

Mission
It will be your mission to see if this civil war hasn't disrupted their way of life and ofcourse if this war has really ended. Don't make it an official investigation but be sure to look around carefully as you are invited to the homeworld of the Nigillians.

Extra
The Skytoucher has been provided with new supplies and almost all repairs have been done. My only regret is that I have not yet found a replacement for Lt Commander Balkazar, you need to shift within your own crew to fill that position.
Before I forget, Mr Comm One will agian be travelling with you to D.A Space as he will be returning to his own ship.

I hope these mission instructions have provided you with enough information. If not, you know where to find or contact me.

                           =A= End of briefing =A=

OFF: Check the Cartography and the Expansion Fleet map to know which location I mean. Post responses towards the D.A Government also in the D.A. forums, at the A.S.C. Revox forum (mission 3, the most recent topic).
Also check the D.A regulations and obey them, as there are many differences with ours (Starfleet) ;).

*Crewman ghost steps off of the Turbolift and steps over to the Engineering Station.*

"Captain, I have detected a slight fluctuation in the Warp Core at Warp 7.2. I recommend Warp 7 or lower until the problem is identified."

"We should be greeted at the border, this mission is diplomatic..99% at least..the other one percent I will worry about, If by chance we are not greeted, we are to make for the Nigillian homeworld at a speed no higher than 3.999 Warp, as I have stressed to the helm many times now".
He nodded to Kaz.
"Tactical, we will want all weapons offline totally. I will need to again read the detailed guidelines of the alliance, but I believe they restrict weapons, you will want to look in on thier tactical know-how as well perhaps".
He leaned forward and put his hands on the table.
"One of the most tough things will be getting into thier space without violating one of thier guidelines".
Title: Mission 10: A flight to D.A Space
Post by: Rasmain on August 10, 2005, 03:06:54 PM
"If I may Sir?"

*He sees the Captain nodding*

"I would suggest that every departmenthead reads upon the Delta Alliance Guidelines which are in our database. This way we show them that we acknowledge their culture and rules. It also prevents us to take the wrong decisions during this mission."

*Rasmain then turns to the Captain*

"Sir, you just said that we might be welcomed at the border of Nigillian Space. But if we aren't, wouldn't it be best if we would take the Space Catapult at Sordinan? That would shorten our journey"

OFF: The Delta Alliance guidelines are to be found under "Navigation" (left bar)" and then choose "Online Database". When there, go down and choose the "Delta Alliance Database" and then you are able to choose the D.A Regulations :)

Lurado stepped onto the bridge after reading the mission briefing.
=A= "All hands! Report to your posts and prepare to depart" =A=

"Mr. Black, see that the engines are in good condition. Kaz, you are now the acting Tactical and Security Chief untill a line officer can be found to replace the former chief. Helm, Engage at maximum warp to the border of the Delta Alliance, then halt to warp 3.999".

"Lower to warp 7 then, helm. Crewman Ghost, you can report to Lt. Commander Black. For now though I think a briefing is in order as we are nearing the Delta Alliance space".
He taps the control on his chair arm and his voice comes out to the entire ship.
"All department chief's and thier second in command officers, report to the conference room".
Title: Mission 10: A flight to D.A Space
Post by: FredLurado on August 06, 2005, 03:14:31 PM
"I think this is everyone. I will begin".
He displayed a map of thier location, which was only a little bit away from the DA border.
"We are on a diplomatic assignment. A Yzakian Representative  of the Delta Alliance has informed starfleet that thier civil war has come to an end. This war broke relations between the DA and starfleet, and they desire to bring those good relations back. Now what we are to do is to ensure that this war has not disrupted the people of the DA, thier ways of life and such. And, off the record, to see that this war has actually ended. I want to delve as deep as we can without being found. We need to know that this civil war will not start up again. So keep an open eye as to the tensions, if they're just putting up a happy face while we're here for some odd reason, we might be in danger. As it was stressed to me, and as I stress it to you all, the delta alliance has strict regulations in thier space. A maximum warp speed and a series of steps to get clearance into thier space. We should have a simple time of it concidering our purpose and invitation, but we are getting quite close to thier border...now. Does anyone have any questions or statements?"

*Rasmain was looking at the viewscreen and saw that the Skytoucher decreased it's speed as the Space Catapult was in range. Rasmain looked at the console he was standing  behind*

"Very interesting, this Catapult uses a tetryon reactor which provides the graviton projectors their power. It's just as described in the database, in some minutes we will find ourselves in Null Space, as I said very interesting"

*Rasmain looks up from his console again and adresses the captain*

"Captain shall I hail the Space Catapult?"

"Very well. I hate to involve you in our internal affairs, but the Queen will want to meet with you. I have instructed the catapult operators to send you to Nygea Delta, our political capital. We will be escorting you, as there are still some Torran loyalists who continue to prey on ships of those that opposed them."

Tash gave the captain an encouraging smile. "See you on the other side. Requiem out."

As the ship engaged warp for the DA Space Lurado beckoned the first officer to his chair.
"Yes, we are assigned a diplomatic mission. The conflict among some of the Delta Alliance species has ended, we are to go to one of thier homeworlds to revive relations between the federation and they. On the side, we need to keep an eye open to see if this conflict has in any way disrupted thier way of life. It should be an interesting task, I am eager myself to enter DA space. I have never before had that opportunity on the little ships I come from".

"On the record, the word 'spy' does not exist on this mission. The only people on this ship who will make a single note and observation on these peoples after effects from the war will be myself, Commander Rasmain, and I will want input from Counselor  Munro on thier behavior patterns. As you can see, there is plenty to be done on this assignment. We are all now diplomats, trained or not we must not cause an alarm among the DA representitives. The consequences of a bad move on our part are do dangerous to delve into.."
He paused as Comm One spoke.
"It will be a bittersweet parting, On one part it is wonderful to see you going home where you might be more happy, on the other we end a far to short time of learning and friendship"

He nods as Rasmain finishes his briefing.
"Yes, I am glad you mentioned the catapolts Commander. I had been so focused on what we  were told would happen, I had not considered that something might not go as planned. We should indeed use the catapolts whenever possible as directed in thier regulations. But: I will be very alarmed should we not be greeted. That is the first step, do things begin as they were supposed to. We should begin scanning for any ships long range, and contact them as soon as we can to find out the status".
