I'm glad to have this chance to work here, and I will try to fullfill all my duties as best as I can. I saw that already is a part of the building reserved for the xenobiology lab and I don't think it will be nescessary to remind you sir, of the special requirements of such lab. Of course this is something for later attention due to the needs of the facillity as a whole. If you needs assistance in any other matter sir, that you judge I will be useful, consider me ready to help.
If I may add, althougt our areas of expertise are somewhat distant, I think my contribution to our department will be valuable, because this planet is very wealthy in all kinds of lifeforms.

It is nice to have you here gentlemen. I am sure that, even if we come from different specialities, our work here will be of great value to Starfleet.

I would like to ask you to think of me more as a fellow scientist than as a superior officer, since I know that you are as competent as I am, in your own fields of study.

Finally, Mr. Stuart, I was thinking of assigning you to the astrometrics station, so that you can scan the planet for any archaeological sites. Of course I would help you there, since astrometrics is not listed in your curriculum.  
As a first assignment, I am transfering to your quarter's computer a series of images and survey data that was gathered during Starfleet's assesment on the best location for a planetary base on this planet.

As for the geological and chemical equipment, I think that for some time all you will have is your tricorder, until we can get the appropriate equipment from Avalon.
I will do what I can to try and tell the CO of the Lancelot to bring them now, but I'm not sure they have not left.

Dr. Daishin, it would be interesting to scan the shore for life forms, so we can later explore the ocean near the base. I have read in your curriculum that you are a specialist on marine environments, so that would fit you well.

07 Mark IV field emmiters (I guess we have some mark III that were intended to be used on our labs' containment fields, and they may be modified to work for no more than three weeks)

01 Type VII field amplifier (I think we can modify our interplexic beacon to do the job, but I'd like to do this only if nothing else works)

Oh, this is Lt. Cmdr. James Stuart. He will be my XO on the Lattes and is in charge of the Archaeology Department here on the base.

There is also Cmdr. Daishin Kensuke, but he's almost never here... He's our Xenobiologist. (OFF: He's having some trouble with his internet connection and isn't posting much lately...)

I know that our areas are very different, but I am sure i can serve you well arround here. I understand that the  Science facillity is not yet build, so i can offer my assistence to finish it (althout it is far beyond my speciallization, I am still quite fresh out of the academy).
As for my working station, i don´t think i will need more than an extra room with some space, computer terminals, geological and chemical analysis eqquippament, as soon as it woudn´t be a problem to provide, due to the priority of more critical needs.

About the shore life-scan, the results and my initial findings proved to be very inspiring. I found a beautiful colony of celenterated beings (a coral reef) that have very rare characteristcs (in fact I only saw something like that in the reefs of omicron-6) such as a pale pink bioluminescence, and a amazing translucid matrix. I discovered more species too but this I'll report later.
I think I'll collect some specimen and place them in the few tanks that I found in the lab. Don't worry about the conditions. I have the unusual skill of taking care of such creatures mannualy. I'll report later about this too.

And yes, I would like to have drink after work Dr.Stuart.
I'm looking forward to have my first drink at our base's Bar & Grill.
