*stresses the "sir" with sarcasm*

*takes a seat*

"Was he supposed to be carrying anything else ?"

*Shakes head*

"You're not looking at it right...you have to let your mind go blank. Don't you see? That's a basis for them. They are superior than us when it comes to the mind. They can make us see things, they can control us. They're no primative beings."

*contiunues pacing*

"You see, your arrogance...your haughty attitude only helps them."

Jacob Ressik enters Lt Colonel Balkazar's office, admiring the scenery as he enters.

"Jacob Ressik reporting for duty sir" He says snapping to attention and saluting.

<Balkazar brings back 2 rootbeers and hands one to Jacob>

"Being a marine means you have to stay with your unit, if something happens to force you to leave then that wont be good because then you may be on a mission somewhere and your not able TO return home.  This is a very bad thing.  I admire your loyalty to your nation, but I expect loyalty to the Marines as well.  Loyalty to starfleet.  Hmmmmmmm, you think you have what it takes to be a marine ?"

<Breathes in heavily>

"Sir, im sorry for the intrusion.  But when Braxton and I were doing a survey. <Tries to catch there breath> We ran across a locked door it was as if it was put there in the early to late 19th century, then we found a HUGE!!!! hanger like bay, so big I would say a 2 or 3 Prometheous class starships could fit inside the thing, but we found Statsis pods instead.  Then we found what looked to be a command area but there were skeletons there.  They looked like they been dead sense the year 2200.  Im not sure what was going on but then some robots chased us out of there and we came here.  We need your help sir." <Falls to the floor breathing heavily as they tried to catch there breath>

<Entering his office he went to his desk and started to go threw the paper work that built up over the past few weeks sense he was gone to Jarkenan>

"I have experience in engineering design and repair. My major field of engineering training from a prestigous engineering institute was the study of the propulsion system"

"I see.  The Plasma gattling gun makes up around 10 compression rifles in 1, except they fire plasma bursts and use specifically designed power cells as ammo.  Puma's are our quick land vehicles.  Pelicans are our rapid air response ships.  Grenades are thrown weapons tho they have short range.  All of this is in our database."

[Balkazar]

"Show respect to your superiors, I personally dont care if your a cadet or an admiral.  I really dont care, however, what im about to tell you will remain here on this base, if you breath a word of it to anyone I will ensure that you spend the best of your cadet days in the brig.  Understand ?"

[Elizabeth Bailey]

*shakes head, mumbling, "What is it with marines and details..."*

"Listen, 'sir', did he have anything with him? Something that you wouldn't think to be with him. Anything, at all?"

[Balkazar]

<Looks at the ornamental dagger, then looks at cadet bailey>

"Ummmmm, I dont see anything.  You feeling alright, Cadet?"

[Balkazar]

"We marines are nothing like starfleet.  They take care of the space combat, we take care of the ground and air combat.  Theres nothing the same about us.  Our training is superior in many ways to starfleet, but they need us for we are there backbone in ground combat.  Ships security is trained for guarding a ship, we are trained for both air, land, and ship to ship combat.  Our training is totally different which is where our strength of thinking differently comes into play.  Some take our advice while others shun our advice and usually it turns out for the worse in the end when our knowledge is ignored.  <Sighs>, never become a Col. or a commander its tough more then you know.  Tho on a brighter note I get my telepathy from my mother, she was betazoid."
