I'm brave enough to get into this. I am a huge Kusinich and Gravel fan.. however if i look at it realisticly, they don't stand a chance. I would personally vote for Kusinich. But of the front-runners i like Clinton the best. But i have absolutly no problem with voting for Obama if he gets the nomination..... he's a good candidate.

When i exam the issues health care and gay rights strike me as the most important. I tend to gravitate towards social issues rather than military and economical issues.

I think there is always room for intelligent political discussions. They are issues that concern us all. http://www.expansionfleet.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

My problem with Obama is that he's big into taxing the rich to give to the poor. And honestly, America's poor need to get off their ass and work. He wants to spend too much money on social programs, and we need to spend LESS money. His nickname in Congress is "Robin Hood", so says my aunt's boyfriend, who is an environmental advisor for Washington. I know that sounds too convenient, so take it as you will.

As for Clinton, I have to agree with Malcolm.

I personally am a fan of Ron Paul. I know some of his ideas are extreme, like the idea of dissolving the IRS and removing all income tax, but I'm a HUGE fan of his idea of keeping the federal government out of the lives of Americans as much as possible.

It's maybe now the world filters out the stupid and lazy..

Look at it this way. If your lazy and can't add 2+2 because you choose not to, than you end up homeless and without a job. You go no where, you are no one and you just don't make any impact on the planet... While the smart and active rise to the tops.. Er yeah..

What I'm saying is. Smart people are the big rocks in the jars and the dumb people are the tiny peices of sand that seep to the bottom..

And guess what? Big rocks can make a dent while sands can't.

That doesn't make sense ^

Helping people is fine, for instance, the guy who has a broken leg and can't go back to his manufacturing job, I'm fine with a little welfare. But when his leg gets better and he chooses not to go back to work, that's where I take issue.

The government isn't going to be able to help people that need it any more than they already are. That requires a change in personal conviction on the part of the welfare recipient, and no law or policy can do that. What the government needs to do is stop helping the people that don't need it, and force them to fend for themselves, or they never will.

Any americans on EF, what do you think of the '08 election?

Me, I find it rather interesting. Especially in how wide open the GOP race is.

I'm supporting Barack Obame currently, but am looking at Kucinich, Gravel, and Edwards.

What issues are you most concerned?

Me, Economy, Gay rights, and Education.

How so?

Debates can be civil, normally. I understand the cynicism, I often feel that way towards our current politicians.Oh, and if the debates devolves into, "Well you're a [expletive] Democrat," I'll personally stop it. Or, if I can't I'll ask for the thread closed. There's no point in senseless bickering, it only adds fuel to the (BS) partisan politics fire.

Clinton? *sighs* Not another one.

http://www.expansionfleet.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'> Just kidding.

The main reason why i dont support clinton is, well....Bush,Clinton,Bush,Clinton(?)....doesn't sound appealing. We really don't need another president that has either a name connected to sex, or an act. ( http://www.expansionfleet.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'> )

With Obama, besides his platform, and stance on issues, I love that he's credible, has high integrity, and an intellegince to boot. He's repatedly stood by his word, in not being one of the same. i.e. another...clinton.

Hey now, i resemble that comment. http://www.expansionfleet.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>  Seriously though. I believe in helping people help themsevles, and that's what I see with Obama. He's not into giving them money,  he's into help people. Into making sure that everyone has the chance, and the help in moving up the ladder.

Oh, and Clinton wins, I'm moving to Mexico - or, preferrably - Spain. Somewhere warm.
