Expansion Fleet - Avalon Archive

The Doctor enters and sits to Nofftz' right.  He carries a padd and nods to each of the officers present.  "As requested, commander, I am here."

*Rasmain nods and stands up from his chair. He walks to one of the many windows that were in the conference room and saw the inner surroundings of Station Avalon.*

"I think you have all noticed the activity at station Avalon and ofcourse aboard this ship. And you might have heared rumours or even parts of true information which would explain these activities.
Wat I am now going to tell you is the briefing I have just had and which will take away all doubt in this matter."

*Rasmain stept aside towards the wall and touched a panel. It lightened up and a star chart was to be seen which had several blinking dots.*

"Gentlemen, we are currently at these coordinates. *Rasmain touched the screen* And these vessels are coming our way. These vessels are not coming our way with the intention of exploration. They are on their way to terminate our presence in this part of space."

""They" are called, "Loxians" and there is no doubt in my mind that you have not heared that word before. Their fleet is immense but they don't know about our advantage. We know that they are coming and we are prepared! "

*Rasmain takes a seat again and turns to his staff*

"Mr Black, Nofftz, Balkazar and Doctor, please give me a status report on your department. Are their any critical issues that need to be taken care of?"

*Balkazar walks into the conference room with Rasmain*

Sir whats the problem ?.......

"Science is fully operational Captain."

OOC**Sorry for a lil absense ...........I been lazy/Depressed with life but im getting over it once again .........You sorta get to the point your depressed with all games online plus I been majorly lazy ..........heheheh ...........I should be getting DSL bye the end of may next year i hope!.........

ON**.......Security and tactical is ready to go.......For anything........Do we know of any weaknesses in the Loxian fleets shields ? and what type of weapons they use ?

"I see, well that's good work. Please make sure that everyone of your staff is accounted for and thus aboard the ship before we disembark. Several officers were granted leave and may still be on the station."

*Rasmain then turned to Balkazar and the Doctor*

"And what is the status of Security and Sickbay?"

"All's good in Engineering. I think we can function fully in this situation"

"Well there were no new intelligence reports available but we should review the data from our last encounter with them at Vontak Nor. We may predict their method of attack from those reports...."

*At that moment an urgent message from Station Avalon was rerouted to the Conference room*

This is flag admiral Vorak speaking. The Loxian fleet is now only 12 minutes away from the station. Their fleet consists 200 ships, of which some are as large or even larger then our own starships. Their strength is more then anticipated, so we will have to use strategy to win this battle. Avalon Station has raised its shields, and no beaming in or out can take place as of this moment. U.S.S. Skytoucher, I am aware that captain Skon is still on board the station, but there is no time now. Commander Rasmain will temporarily assume command of the ship. The Skytoucher will, together with the U.S.S. Rivendell, withdraw into the Expansion Nebula as discussed at the briefing. You will form the element of surprise. The U.S.S. Venture will stand ready at the frontline before the station. When the Tiberon arrives, it can take the rear of the Loxian fleet. When the Skytoucher and Rivendell appear out of the nebula, they can take either side of the Loxian fleet, at which point we will have surrounded them. Proceed to your positions, and... good luck.

"All right gentlemen, it seems that our mission awaits us. Inform your staff and prepare your departments for battle. Dismissed!"

*Rasmain stands up and heads for the bridge*

Operations is at good as it is going to get by the time these ships get here. I will work my men to the breaking point to get finsihed.

*Rasmain took a seat in the chair at the far end of the table and awaited the arrival of the other senior officers.*

Black entered and took a seat.

"Chief Engineer here"

Nofftz Strolls into the lounge and takes a seat across from Black. Lt. Commander Nofftz, 2nd officer,reporting as ordered.
