Skon and Robinson head for the transporter room
(Edited by Skon at 10:27 pm on Jan. 8, 2004)
"Transporter Room 1," the Doctor told the computer. He turned to the Lieutenant, "Honor, you say, Lieutenant? What we do today is a big responsibility. Our actions will help cement a peace treaty between the Loxians and the Federation and the Cardassians. We are to beam over to the Cardassian space station Vontak Nor to disable a guard and secure the station for the Cardassian Gul Marcet. We'll be using gas filters and masks so that the engineered knock-out gas can incapacitate the sole Cardassian guard. Then I will use some arcane Cardassian device to remove a performance-enhancing nerve stimulator from the guard's nervous system. If all goes well we will be back on Skytoucher by tea time."
Rhade looked quizzically at the Doctor, who explained, "That's 16:30 hours, Lieutenant. And before you ask, tea time is a ritual where I imbibe a noxious infusion of semi-poisonous boiled leaf water. Let's just say it's a treat. I look forward to... Oh, look, we're here."

We are departing for the reception in Celtic Corner on the station. All crewmembers are encouraged to join us.
=A= Skon out =A=
Also, Doctor, now that we know the outpost has been attacked, we may have to render the Loxians medical assistance. We should be prepared to evacuate wounded, if necessary.
Will see's the Doctor leave for the transporter room.
He jesters his hand at Skon.
"After you Sir."
Dr. Dorian, we have a medical emergency. Mr. Rhade is injured and requires assistance.

The Doctor wakes up with a start. he sits up suddenly, frowning, and says, "Oncoming Storm!" Then he seems to gather himself and realize he isn't where he thought he was. "How'd I get here? Did I get beamed back in the middle of a raging battle?! Egad!" He absently pets Wycliff who, sensing he's done his duty, slinks back to the office for a well deserved rest.
"Come on men, let's go look for casualties. Bring any Damage Control Gear you can find."
**4 crew members and myself, exit sickbay and proceed down the passageways searching for casualties and trapped crew members.
Doctor, when you are finished here, join us on the bridge. I wish to have a meeting with all senior officers.
*Skon leaves the Sickbay and heads to the bridge *

Okie............Oh and if you didnt hear skon will be here soon.............
And if you dont mind im gonaa take one of the bed here an dsleep for awhile
*heads over to one of the medical tables and falls asleep*
"Um, hello everyone, I was just on my way to report to the Bridge and I thought I'd stop in and say hello. I'll return later."
(Walks away)
"One of the Doctor's old-Earth affectations, Lietenant. He thinks all doctors' offices should have old magazines lying around. Personally, I find it silly and messy." She sits down opposite him in the Doctor's desk chair. "I paged the Doctor and he asked me to make you comfortable. I'll fill you in on the Sickbay and the staff, ok?"
Nurse Wynn escorts Lt. Rhade into the main Sickbay wards. She gestures around to certain people and says, "That is the Head Nurse- she's busy now but I'm sure you'll talk soon. I'm her assistant, along with Nurse Aan over there. He's a real nice guy and I'm sure we'll all be more relaxed once we have less patients. Also, with you here, we can make the duty roster go back to 8 hour shifts instead of 12. I for one could use the sleep." She smiles and continues the tour, "Here we have a Cardassian with head injuries who is recovering nicely. The quarantine ward is through those blast doors over there; and the labs are down that hallway or you can enter them through the main corridor down the way from our main Sickbay door."
She leads Lt. Radhe into another ward with what seems like exercise equipment. "This is where we do fitness testing for the crew. It is also our private exercise room if you prefer to use it instead of the main gymnasium. Of course, we have no room for a zero-G room."
"Well, Lieutenant, that's most of it. Any questions before I bring you back to the Doctor's office? Maybe you want to know more about the staff or our past missions? I'm not sure how the Doctor will use you without knowing your background, but I know that you'll be in shift rotation with Aan and I."
(The Doctor picks up a medical tricorder and regular medikit from the rack by the door and waits for Rhade to collect his kit.)

Doctor hows Varnek doing? he answered any more questions or woke up ?......
*goes over to the security he posted and starts to talk to them while waiting for skon and the doctor to get done with him....*
Message received. I am finishing up with the Admiral and we will speak of how to deal with the Loxian prisoners. In the meantime, please inform the Doctor, when you see him, that I will report to Sickbay as quickly as I can.

"Any systems in here that need patching?"
Just so you know, I didn't see the wounded because the lights were out.- or maybe I blinked? (Wink)
"The Doctor will be back shortly, but he's busy with the senior officers right now. Feel free to relax here or return after an hour. I'll tell him you stopped by if you miss each other. Oh, and don't forget to report in to Captain Burma and Commander Skon also."
Thank you, sir. Never before have I been assigned to away team duty on my first day, but I guess since emergency and field medicine are my specialties I should be grateful. What honor will this away mission fulfill?
"Ooooh...my... that's nice... hmm..."
He finds a torch and shines it around Sickbay to look for anyone who may be there, tendrils or assorted nasties, or anything that may catch his eye. He listens to Skon's message on his commbadge and replies back,
=^= Doctor to Skon =^= "This is the Doctor. I've reached Sickbay intact and now I'm giving it the once-over and retrieving necessary equipment. I'll be back on the Bridge very soon. Out." =^= Transmission Ends =^=
Sparks and fried wiring are the order of the day in the dim Sickbay- all but for one small wall panel that glows a dim orange. Intrigued, the Doctor looks intently at the readings and instantly sees that this panel is not showing the type of information it should be displaying. In fact, how is it active at all? He puts Wycliff down for a moment and the cat sniffs the panel. He hisses and backs away from it before running behind the Doctor's back. "Wycliff!" the Doctor shouts, "Come back!"
"Now why did he do that, do you suppose," the Doctor says aloud to himself, "Hmm?" The panel comes away loose from the wall at the Doctor's touch and reveals a non-Starfleet device attached to a cable. The Doctor touches it with his tricorder without result, so he simply grabs the offending technology and rips it loose from the wiring. It stubbornly blinks a tiny red light at him as if it were still doing whatever it is supposed to be doing.
"Who are you, my little friend, and what will Mr. Skon make of you?" Worried that the device may be more than it appears, the Doctor places it in a self-contained quarantine box and turns on the small forcefield. Then, collecting Wycliff, a padd from his desk and the supplies and box, he makes his way back toward the jeffries tube.

Doctor, it seems you have your hands full. I do not want to take you away from important duties, but I would like to speak with you for a moment.
But, before you undertake your examination, I have something else to show both you and Mr. Balkazar.
*Skon pulls out two small boxes and hands one to Balkazar and one to Black. They contain new uniform pips.*
Congratulations Mr. Black, you are promoted to Lt. Commander effective immediately with a new post as Chief Engineer. Mr. Balkazar, you are promoted to Lt. Commander with a new post as Chief of Security/Tactical Officer. Congratulations, both of you.
OFF: Good work! Montrell has already changed your ranks on the crew roster, but you need to change your avatars and make posts in the Rank/Title Adjustments forum to get those changed, as well.
OFF2: We don't know this, but Vakin planted that device. It seemed to steal information from the computer and perhaps communicate it to the Loxian fleet, but it may also have helped sabotage some of the Skytoucher's systems...just to give you an idea. It would be a good idea if we could figure out what it is and use it as evidence during the upcomming trial.
Doctor, it is good to see you. My hand was hit by a disruptor beam. I need to return to the bridge as soon as possible, but I thought you should look at it before I do so.
REad you oloud and clear but the doc is here with me now....One of the assassins bit me so i had the doc fix me up....he heard ya.....
But sir....theres something in the doctors pocket.....Its sorta Bulging out and it doesnt look like a tricorter
"Understood Captain, we will all join you"

Please prepare the Captain for transport. We will evacuate him to Starbase Avalon as soon as we arrive.

Lieutenant Telemachus Rhade, Medical Assistant, reporting for duty.
"Well, getting all acquainted I see, good, good." He nods to Nurse Wynn who tells him that she has given Lt. Rhade a thorough tour.
The Doctor nods and beckons Lt. Rhade into his office. "I am very pleased to have you aboard. We were a little understaffed. I was just about to go across to Vontak Nor for an away mission. Do you wish to help here or on the mission? It should be relatively safe either way."
"Doc, Sir, I have come an examination on my head, I was thrown against a bulkhead and blacked out."
OFF: Interesting way to start my duties upon the ship.

Doctor.....Tend to his leg....And We need him alive!.....Ill report this to skon immediatly but keep him alive!
*does a lazy salute to capt. skon*
Con grats capt...So whats going on?
*looks at the weird thingy*
Uhhhhh *points to the object*.......What is THAT!?........is that the thing you had in your pocket?....Shouldnt it be behind a level 10 force field atleast ? should it become active and a danger to everyone and everything ?.............And it could be a tracking device of some sorts too,.......
"I'm all for forcefields and the like, you understand, but perhaps I could've just walked it down to Engineering in my pocket? I really don't see the need for all this fuss."
Doctor, I am assembling an away team, and we will shortly be visiting you. I would like you to accompany us on the mission, if you can. If not, please assign another medical officer to the team.
=A= Skon out =A=
(The Doctor follows Commander Skon out the door to a turbolift, pausing long enough to grab a medikit and medical tricorder from a rack near the Sickbay door.)
Understood, Doctor. I will have Lt. FredCesa submit his report to you immediately. Lt. Rhade is most welcome to join the away team. He brings our number up to eight, which was Gul Marcet's limit for this mission. Have him report to the transporter room.
=A= Skon out =A=
"Doc, nice to see that you've made it. This poor ensign is badly hurt, hey may have a concussion. I am fairly proficient in medical if you need any assistance doc. We can set up a med station, since I am assuming, we'll have quite a few casualties. So I guess Doc, I am reporting in as a medical assistant for you."
*Nods to teh doctor*
Tend to Varnek....Once hes able to talk let me or the commander know.....We have questions for him.....
*Balkazar to security send 2 more guards down to sick bay*
*Few minutes later 2 xtra guards show up and Balkazar start so ttell them to stand guard on him*....
Doctor ill be back soon....I need to check on our other guests...
*Balkazar exits the sickbay and heads to the brig*
All of his life, he has been a servant of the Loxian government. He hates the Loxian exiles. He wants to kill them. They are renegades. They are evil.
But...since he was sent among them, he has seen many things...some of them seem to be miracles. He can't understand. Burma...their messiah...has returned. IT CANNOT BE.
He awakens, barely, and grabs at the security guard who stands beside his bed. Sweat pours down his face.
Tell them...it doesn't matter where you take us....Avalon...Vulcan...Earth...they will come...kill us...attack...never surrender...and then they will come here and kill the mes...Burma...destroy the renegades...cannot stop them...
Varnek passes out again
(Edited by Skon at 11:12 pm on June 24, 2004)
Hmm...It seems to be Loxian technology...perhaps a communication device. that tapped into our computers...that could account for how our shields were lowered.
Regardless, Mr. Balkazar is correct. It should be held in stasis until we can determine what -- exactly -- it is. I have asked Mr. Black to join us. Perhaps he can shed some light on this subject.
*salutes Capt Skon....Thank you sir!
*takes the device from the doctor and put it on one of the tables in sickbay....*taps his comm badge and orders to have a level 10 force field put up around the strange object*
"Just my luck- I can't find Celtic Corner. I was able to access the potted history and some pics of it, but for the life of me I can't find it anywhere... I guess I'll just work on my files."
*Sigh*
"All is assembled for the away mission. Now all I have to do is vacinnate myself and everyone else against anything we might come across. How's that for wishful thinking? Oh well, better some than none when speaking of protection."
(Doctor gives himself a really big dose of vitamins and anti-virals. Just in case...)
Doctor, we are preparing an away mission to Vontak Nor. Please report to the bridge with the appropriate equipment for a briefing.

Finding Sickbay in shambles, I look for the Dr. or his assistants to aid in first aid on my disabled shipmate. I lay the Ens on a table and begin doing a quick evaluation so i can report it to the Dr. once I find him.
I try to use my com badge to find the Dr.

*looks and sees the doctors pocket bulging*
I dont mean to pry doc but whats that ?
*points to his pocket*
Doctor, I apologize for the delay. What did you find?
Doctor, I am pleased to see that you are joining us on this mission. I will appreciate your insights into both the Loxians and the mysterious aliens we previously encountered.
Of the 37 survivors recovered from the Loxian asteroids, 5 died from their injuries before they came to Sickbay and 2 died after they arrived in Sickbay. Full autopsy reports appended to this log entry. (Computer: attach file 'Loxian Autopsies 1' to this log entry.) We are now caring for 29 injured Loxians, 1 Cardassian and 1 Skytoucher crewman- Ensign Harker. They are being cared for both here in main Sickbay and also in converted guest quarters on Deck 4.
Most of the injuries of the wounded are burns, cuts, broken bones and concussions. All injuries, except for Ensign Harker's, were received within a small length of time and at the same time throughout the base, according to the physical evidence. There is no evidence of small weapons fire or blunt trauma to the patients that cannot be accounted for, so I speculate that whatever hit the base was quick and external- shaking up the base from outside bombardment perhaps? I'll leave that final analysis to the Science Department. (Computer: Download realtime data on all currently monitored patients to this log entry and label it 'Current Patient Roster' and attach the stardate.)
The Loxians were asked to send a representative to give the dead their burial or death rites and Nurse Wynn and I attended. I will note that it is a solemn occassion wherein the attending Loxians made a keening or humming-type sound from their throats. It was very moving.

"Why Lieutenant, we aren't even the same species... but I'd love to have lunch with you. I get a break in an hour, we can go then if you like. I'm afraid we may be quite busy for the next few days in this area of space, so finding time to eat together may be difficult otherwise."
Dr. Dorian, have you received the Doctor? What is his condition?

'I hope I get a chance to tell Skon about the alien device I found... I should be finished here soon..."
"Its good to see you, Commander. It has been an eventful few days hasn't it?" He reaches into his pocket for the alien artifact he found a few days ago.
"Here it is." He hands it over to Skon. "I found this device functioning in one of the wall access panels, hooked up to LCARS, while we had lost power everywhere else down here. It seems inert now. What do you make of it?"
"Ok Doc, get on with the injection."
We have been hit by another heavy Loxian barrage. All departments report damage.
=A= Bridge out =A=
Mr. Russo, Doctor, it is good to hear that you both have survived this encounter.
Yes, Doctor, I believe the aliens have indeed left the area. We seem to be safe, for now. What is the situation in sickbay?
Mr. Russo, if the Doctor can spare you, please organize all crewmembers who are still able to perform their duties into rescue parties. I fear there that much of the crew -- as well as the Loxian exiles -- may be trapped below. Find as many surviors as you can.
