Qrell

=^=Qrell to Skytoucher, reenforements will be here

in a moment. SKON I sense a danger deep within

the Dark Passage=^=.

I have 32 Warbirds at my disposal.

How can I assist you Commander

Skon

OFF: Just to let everyone know (if you don't already) the entire crew of the Skytoucher (minus the doctor) has beamed to one of the Romulan ships. The Skytoucher is dead in space at the moment. We know you're drifting because the Romulans know, but I don't know if we've re-established communications with Vontak Nor.

Understood, General.

=A= Skon to Skytoucher =A=

We will begin the funeral ceremony as soon as the last of the Loxian exiles have transferred to the Vontak Nor. Stand by.

Doctor

(The Doctor checks the readings on the Cardassian device and compares them to his medical tricorder.)  "Commander Skon, we are almost on to the Cardassian, but the readings indicate an unusually high level of mental activity- more than would be indicated by REM sleep.  I suggest caution and speed in case the effects of the gas wear off quicker than expected."

OFF: Skon: By posting on this board we've been demoted.  I changed my avatar to Commander but cannot change the wording.  I see yours also needs adjustment.  I wonder if anyone else has this problem?

Zentox

*Skon and Rhade dematerialize.*
Trust on the Goddess Tazay and a path between the rocks will open.

Doctor

"Gul Marcet, how long until we have weaponry?  If we cannot help the Skytoucher then we have to render the station unusable to the Loxians."

Doctor

The Doctor watched the carnage on the tactical screen numbed by the things he saw.  Loxians!  Now Romulans!  What next?  "This is bad.  No, not bad, worse than bad.  I'd say this was many times beyond bad..."

Omak: "Sir?"

Doctor: "Nothing, I said nothing.  Just continue to follow orders from Commander Skon, Mr. Omak.  I need to take all this in.  There are implications here that need attention."

The Doctor steps away from the console and seems to shrink within himself as his eyes dimly watch both the battle and the inside of his mind.  It is hard to tell from his gaze which is more serious, but Omak sees the Doctor's mouth harden into a grimace of distaste and loathing.

=A= Skytoucher to Away Team =A=

I believe General Qrell is going to assist us. What is your status?

Also, be warned. The Doctor believes that this battle is attracting something else to this area of space. We may have another "visitor" soon.

=A= Skytoucher out =A=

As the away team moves out, Skon turns toward Omak

Good, Lt. Omak. We can set those extra canisters off by remote control if more Cardassian soldiers awake or if we are delayed in reaching Dernok. Continue monitoring the gas levels on the station and inform us when we can remove our masks.

As for the computer core, without consulting Gul Marcet's expertise, I believe that it would -- logically --  be one of the most heavily protected areas of the station...

OFF: And Doctor, please don't yell. It might upset those of us with more delicate hearing http://expansionfleet.sparks.priorweb.be/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Telemachus Rhade

Sir, the room seems to be filled with ditrilium gas. I would recommend we avoid it if at all possible, for the gas is extremely sensitive to temperature changes. It has been known to ignite even at a one degree change.

Event Horizon

*Meanwhile, at the distant horizon of the Dark Passage, deep inside the Quantum Singularity Network, a power beyond imagination sleeps, rests and licks its wounds... Not too long ago it had concentrated all its might on an attack of ships in a region far beyond the Dark Passage, but some unexpected counter attack from the Gallifreyans had driven them back... wounded and weary... Now they lay hidden, unseen, unknown, in the Quantum Singularity Network where no ship could come... They had lost alot of energy in the last unsuccesfull assault and they were weary... The Na'jigat always needs energy... But as they sleep and rest, they sense energy... strong energy...*
"Reading energy... Coming from inside Dark Passage... Humanoid brain waves... Reading... Loxians, Humans, Cardassians, Romulans... Anger... firepower... much energy! Na'jigat needs energy to recover! Needs it soon!"
"No... Na'jigat must rest and recover..."
"Na'jigat NEEDS ENERGY!"
"No... Na'jigat too weak... If Gallifreyans come again, we cannot fight them..."
"No sign of Gallifreyans..."
"Gallifreyans know how to mask their sign... Gallifreyans can hide their brain path waves from us... We can never be sure..."
"Remain on distance... wait until humanoids are weary... Then attack..."
*And so, the living cloud of energy called the Na'jigat, remains hidden and unknown, deep inside the Quantum Singularity Network, far beyond the reach of any sensors, not that they would be detected if they were nearby... and from a distance, they listen... quietly...*
