William Wallace

OOC: sorry hugely busy now that summer has returned.

IC: Having stayed close to the Colonel on this trip I was waiting to get the information. I watched as Ensign Dolan and Lobo called in. Then there was the figure that fell from the cieling and almost took out Wallace and Balkazar. Drawing his side arm Commander Wallace fired the first shot. Stun did nothing. Only after reaching the kill setting did the Humanoid retreat.

Dolan started the generator up and backed off, while watching it power up.  He assumed it was working, since there wasn't a window nearby to see the deflector.

*Lobo motioned for Moore to join him.*

"OK SSgt,  I need a platoon Sgt and you're it until you're dead or I find somebody better.  Col Balkazar has placed me in charge of a new unit based on the United States Navy SEALs.  I need recommendations for a 2nd Lt.  You know the Marines here nearly as well as Eastwood and Balkazar, so Im asking for your opinion.  I also want you to hand pick two people one from Star Fleet, one from the Corps to work on SEAL Team 1 with the two of us.  I leave who up to you.  You're the SNCOIC for ST-1, youve got about as much combat experience as I do and I need strong people to back me up.  As for the mission ahead, we are to remain on call here in the MSB until the Colonel calls for us.  The sooner we have those people the better."
Today, you people are no longer maggots. Today, you are Marines. You're part of a brotherhood. From now on until the day you die, wherever you are, every Marine is your brother. Most of you will go to Vietnam. Some of you will not come back. But always remember this: Marines die. That's what were here for. But the Marine Corp lives forever. And that means YOU live forever.

"Please...I'll just brief you on the bridge, because we are in a hurry..

The U.S.S Iroquois has been trapped in the 'mirror universe' and a rescue mission has been put into place by Star Fleet Command.

There is a Starfleet Deep Space Science Station currently working on a prototype 'Dimensional Rift Generator' that will hopefully open up a rift into the Mirror Universe long enough for the retrieval of the Iroquois.

Our mission is to travel to this station and retrieve the device and bring it back to Station Avalon for testing."

"We need to leave as soon as possible, so please take your station"

*Turns to Ensign Takio and whispers*
"Ensign, the coordinations of the Station are top-secret, so they won't leave this ship!"

*Takes his seat*

"HELM, lay in a course for the science station, full warp"

"ENGAGE!"

"Excuse me Captain Bode, but I'll need several bodies to verify what happened, just to make sure the one that Colonel Balkazar is allowing me to keep wasn't just lucky."

Dolan then turned to the EMH and asked, "Could you help me conduct some scans of a few of these lifeforms?  I need to look through the station's logs to see what happened, and then I'll come back to help you."

The EMH replied with a confused nod and Dolan left it at that for the moment.  He walked over to one of the hallway panels and began looking through the logs.

Dolan was shocked at what happened.  He contacted the Lothlorien and reported, "Captain Bode, I was looking through the station's logs and, from what the logs said, the scientists here tested the rift generator about a week ago and the rift generator gave off a lethal dose of radiation.  The radiation hadn't been able to be contained and infected all of the scientists, who died before they could evacuate the station.  The radiation has since then disippated to more acceptable levels.  The wormlike organisms that we see attached to the bodies were just an experiment that wanted to live.  They seem to need the corpses to survive after their food at the lab they were being observed in had been used up.  I'm going to check with the EMH about what the wormlike organisms need from the bodies."

Dolan then returned to where the EMH was continuing his scans and helped him finish up.

Balkazar

"CRAP!.  Alright." Balkazar said, just then the security codes came in.

<It took almost an hour before the creatures backed off, so Balkazar took the chance and started to order everyone to get the wounded and rush them to the Medical bay>

<Their was some minor skirmishes but the Medical bay was soon found and everyone piled in while several fire teams were set up outside the medical bay while everyone else who sustained injuries went in and got looked at and healed up>

"Alright, we need to get Dolan and Lobo out of their.  We dont need those 2 slaughtered.  So from what we know the safest way to do this is to send a team into the jefferies tubes to try and hook up with them.  Who wishes to go." Balkazar asked as he scanned the room.

=^= "Captain, Look after your crew.  Thats your first priority is to get them to safety.  We are locked down in the medical bay till our wounded are taken care of.  We have already ran into the current inhabitants of this station and they seem to be hell bent on destroying all life.  So get your ship as far away as possible.  If the Romulans send forces over here then they will be met with the deadliest of force." =^= Balkazar said, reporting in.

Balkazar

=^= "Yeah, you just confirmed what this survivor told us.  I want you to remain their and maintain observation.  How is Lobo? is he with you?, also modify the force fields to allow humans to pass unhindered.  Much like the Cardasians did on DS9." =^=

<Closing the comm to the Bridge>

"Alright, the rest of you who are able to walk come with me.  I need 1 fire team to remain behind the rest will move out.  Im sorry, Captain Simon, but I need those codes to shut down the Rift generator, and I will get them one way or another." Balkazar told Simon.

<Balkazar noticed Simon was trying to say something, then leaned close enough to Simon to hear what he was whispering.  Once the whisper was done, Simon fell unconscious and Balkazar straightened up>

"Alright, lets move out.  Eastwood left flank.  John, you remain behind with the Captain and the rest of the wounded." Balkazar said as the remainder of the marines moved out quickly.

<Once outside and reached another deck the ceiling gave way as a monsterous humanoid came down, clawing with its huge talons as the humanoid tried to claw its way to Balkazar's chest but was invain.  They started to struggle as Balkazar recieved many wounds to his arm and face>

"DAMN IT! SHOOT!" Balkazar called out between grunts as he struggled with the very strong humanoid monster.

Balkazar

"Yes it does look good on your, John.  This is your fellow field medic, 2nd Lt Cameron.  You both will share the same responsibilities as they come up.  When in the field you patch up the wounded, then when your back here you get rest." Balkazar said looking over to Cameron.

"Cameron, I suppose you have clearance to Operator the Marine Assault Rifle? or did you skip that coarse?" Balkazar asked.
http://img103.imageshack.us/img103/8804/balkazaridcopyso3.jpg" border="0">

Balkazar

"Hmmmmm, Good idea and I think I have your first 2 team members in mind, the rest of the team you can choose from.  Oh, yes.  Im putting you in charge of this sense its your idea.  Also, who do you want to replace your Sargeant who died.  You need someone to help you out with carrying out orders." Balkazar said glaring at the Lt.

HK47

<Shuttle Bay>

"So does that mean this meatbag is yet another Lt I have to put up with?" HK asked.  "According to Marine rank systems that would put this Meatbag here as 2nd Lt. is this correct?" HK asked.

=/\= Colonel, We'll try to keep in transporter-range. Good luck! Bode out =/\=

"Lieutenant Johnson, prepare yourself for battle. I don't think these Romulan are here for fun. Return fire if they attack us or the station, target their transporters, so they won't be able the transport to the station"

"I'll try the hail them again"

=/\= This Captain Bode, state your intensions! =/\=

Tactical officer: "Captain! They are powering up their weapons!"

"Full power to the shields! Lieutenant, you know what to do!"

John Moore

John crawled through the small jeffreys tube on his stomach, pulling himself along on his elbows, his fire team behind him. So far they hadn't come across any openings other than the one they climbed in through. John pulled out his tricorder, and stopping used it to try and find one ahead.

"Marines;" he said, in a half whisper. "There's no exit going back down onto that deck for a heck of a long time. We're-" he stopped to shoot a tiny, floating eyeball. Then an ear.

Speaking louder now that there position was likely compromised anyway; "We're going to go up a deck, and try and find our way round to Lobo from there. Move!"

Crawling down the tube a little more, he rolled over onto his back and grabbed the ladder of the vertical jeffreys tube now right above him, and pulling himself up on the rungs, pulled himself upright, and up towards the currently closed hatch.

Lobo_Negro

*Lobo lays back on med table, his uniform soaked in blood, pain shooting through his body from the wounds in his chest, arms, head, back and shoulders.  He looks at Eastwood with a half assed grin.*

"Maybe we need to put together a Spec Ops Hazard Team.  Take the best of the best from the Fleet Crew and train them as reinforcements.  I seem to recall reading something from ancient history... One of the World Powers back in the late 20th Century had something called Sea, Air and Land Teams or SEALs.  And if I recall correctly they were comprised of both Navy and Marine Personnel.  Itd at least give us a bit of an edge we wouldnt have to worry AS much about replacing personnel.  Just something you could bring up to the brass ole buddy."

*The EMH approached Lobo and looks at Eastwood.*

"He's been through a lot, and I need to get started on his surgery.  These Field Dressings arent going to cut it anymore.  I'll call you when he's back on his feet Mr Eastwood.  You Mr Kohime, need to lay down and keep quiet."

*With that, the EMH gave Lobo a Hypo Sedative, the world around him became grey and fuzzy then faded to black.*
