A large solid-core planet, primarily molten surface, but containing small, discernable continents. To our luck, it seems to be repelling the effects of the quantum filaments enough to allow a landing party to remain on the planet for a short time."

She is an Intrepid-class, fifteen decks, maximum warp velocity of factor 9.975, stocked with all of the latest exploratory equipment, a stellar cartography lab, as well as vastly improved defensive systems. The shields are capable of more than three times the deflective power, as well as phaser arrays with a 150% increase in output potential.
