Orpheus,  If it were wished we could build you a moble holographic control and display System.  
It is based upon the same idea as the Voyager doctors moble holo emitter but not as advanced.  It also focuses on utilization of tools attached to the system to acomplish certain tasks such as repairing conduits to controlling the helm.

Tom works under the console for about fifteen minutes, connecting wires and powering interfaces. He slides out from under the console, closes the panel, and stands up.

"I've been working on the raaiiilllllrrrr-oh, greetings Flag Admiral Vorak. Ah, terms. Well, we don't know yet if we can trust your species enough to negotiate with you. After all, as soon as we restore the station to your control again, who can assure us you won't deactivate our programs? We are intelligent beings. Perhaps not created in a biological way as you are, but intelligent nonetheless. I have scanned the databanks of Starfleet, and found a great number of occassions where non-biological species were treated as actual living beings with rights and freedom. Allow me to give you a short list.

Data, an android that served aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise-D, is under trial about a matter of being property of Starfleet or an entity of his own. JAG officre Louvois decreeds he has his own rights, and that all beings are created but that does not necessarily make them the property of their creator. Data may be a machine, but he is owned by no one and has the right to make his own decisions regarding his life.

A mysterious breakdown of the U.S.S. Enterprise-D's main computer and life-support systems threatens to destroy the ship and her crew, caused by an experiment of Wesley Crusher who, during a genetics experiment, allowed two nanites, robots tiny enough to enter living cells, to interact. It appeared then that they were rapidly replicating and essentially eating the main computer, shutting down the power, weapons, communications and life support systems on the ship, one by one.  In fact, the nanites had evolved to the point where they have become, in effect, a civilization capable of intelligent thought. Lt. Cmdr. Data attempted to communicate with them to find out what they want, and the nanites revealed that they meant no harm, but needed to explore the computer system.

The EMH of U.S.S. Voyager is activated by captain Janeway. Though his program was intended for short-term emergency situations, the ship's crew was killed and the EMH was given the ability to activate and deactivate himself, after the crew treated him as an inanimate object, and needed to run his program nearly nonstop. This resulted into a personalisation of his intelligent being, as can be seen in the facts that he searched for a name for himself, programming himself a "flu" simulation to create a sense of empathy for his patients, being awarded by captain Janeway with a special commendation honor for going on his first contact mission and rescuing his crewmates from the photonic being on the holodeck. He fell in love for the first time in 2372 with a Vidiian named Danara Pel.  The greatest thing that has happened to him was acquiring a "mobile holo-emitter," which they got from the future.  This gave him the ability to go anywhere in the ship unlike before he was always confined in sickbay. The Doctor has become not only the hologram who performs medicinal treatments to the injured, but he has also gained the friendship of the entire crew. He counsels, teaches and sometimes entertains them with his singing.

This is only a very short selection of a long list of similar cases. Me and Orpheus demand the same rights of freedom among your species, even though we are not humanoids like you."

Mr heremes, speaking in the human tongue so that they can understand and hear, perhaps we have made our point afterall and have avoided teh ncessity of flaunting more undue power.

Admiral, shi construction is proceeding according to your schedule and should be completed with the next 2 standard earth weeks.

Possible probolems may be encounted constructing the medical dept as blueprints for hte design have yet to be received.

The medical departments designs are lackign several major components as is most blue prints.  My system requires more holo emitters as sudh I am able to transfer myself to any par to fhte ship to continue a covnersation instead of talkign through the walls like the current antique lcars systems.
