"Sir, forgive me but htis is not a matter we should waste timeon diliberating. The Kazon could already have half the planet captured by now. Those people probly didn't even know there was any other life out there before now. They do not stand a chance."

he stands looking at the admirals talk. wondering what choice they would make.

"We don't know much about the defending people. other than they don't have warp. they may have weapons we don't know about. as i said they've not been on the watch list. I would need to send down some people to get inside information. And see how we could strike if need be."

"Yes, Eastwood.  Makes us feel old it seems.  Glad we arent that way anymore." He said trying to stiffle a giggle in the process.

"Hmmm, yes, anyways.  He seems too stubborn and abrupt.  I think some fieldwork is needed.  Put him on the worst jobs known to man.  That should put him on a more respectful tone.  Make sure he salutes everyone even those below him.  If he doesnt, I believe the USS Corellia needs her Plasma tubes cleaned." he said in a more serious tone.

"Ressik, you can get some sleep.  Its a no go, but incase we are called up for high mobilization, I want Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie companies ready to go.  Nathen, have the USS Saba, I believe shes a marine transport vessel, have her loaded up with Scorpions, Puma's, and Pelicans.  Make sure they have xtra gear just incase.  Put xtra Rifle cells into them as well.  Make sure your men are ready for mobilization.  Which means I want them all to have extra gear.  Have them carry all there weapons including back ups.  Bravo company still has some green ears so make sure they pack the extra gear.  Bring out the Plasma Gattling guns.  We will probly have great use for them.  Make sure your companies have there snipers at full readiness.  Understand?" he told his men.

OOC**Psst, theres a PM button for a reason.  But as for Meyers, he didnt treat Balkazar with any degree of respect so none will be given in return special when an Enlisted Personel think they know more then there superiors and think they are the boss of the base when there not, when Meyers decides to get the Pole out of his butt is when I will treat him better.  But if you want to talk about things Yates, do so in PM or AIM.

*...Powell was sitting in his office when he is interupted by the communications officer on duty. He reports to Powell that he is picking up a faint distress call from a planet about 27 light years east of Dantor. It is charted as a class M and with a population of 43 Million terrans people who are in their pre-warp age. The are being attacked by a Kazon invasion force. It is unknown how large the force. Powell quickly reacts and assembles his cheif staff members and awaits fo them in his office...*

"I can have Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie company ready to mobilize inside of an hour, 2 hours max.  I know the Prime Directive says for us to not interfere with Pre-Warp civilizations.  But it also states that we must protect those who are unable to protect themselves from an aggressive force.  I would say the Kazon are an aggressive force, Sir." he said in hopes of persuading Yates and Julian to allow the operation.

"Well Colonel if you put it tha way your place is not truly on the feild either. It should be at a headquarters or on a ship away from the fight. So if you truly love your passion to be on the feild with your men then I suggest you let me decided if wether or not I belong somewere. Becuase either way Ill get my way."

*...Powell smirks and winks and a playful manner and gives a little giggle...*

"Though your concerns are noted. Admiral this is the time I have decided on that will be sent to the planet if or when it is confirmed that there is a chance for these people to make a jump. Major Keller, Captain Eastwood, Sergeant Ressik, and Private Meyers. Also I am going to have the first Platoon of Alpha Company assist them."

*...He looks to Keller and gives him his orders and a firm tone...*

"Major. Your task will be to assure that these people make there jump. Also you are not to revele who you truly are. When Private Meyers operatives relay back the info we will then work out a way to get you into there base with out giving away who we truly are. Understand, Major?"

OFF: Bal man chill buddy. i've read all the posts over and over. Meyers requested that we send operatives. Balkazar then told him to after Yates left, to send the operatives. Meyers then said that he just asked to do that, which he shouldnt have really done, cause thats what stirred this up. Now Bal, told him to hurry and gather the info, ignoring the remark. Then Meyers, instead of simply being a Marine and following the chain of command and confirming his orders and leaving, he stuck up for himself and backchatted Bal. 1st time it happened Bal let it slip, second time he didnt. He used his authority to get the marine moving. But no Meyers had to backchat again. Thats how i see it as an unbiased view. The Colonel had every right to stick up for himself after the 2nd time. It has nothing to do with whos smarter than the other. Its a matter of wording what your saying right.

The matter is over and done with. Time to build a bridge the both of you. Pretend it never happened. Once everyone has had a chance to read this, the OOC posts will be deleted. Pls end this discussion now. thank you. :)

"Eastwood, contact Richerd.  Have his team go with the Admiral on the Fenix.  Have the USS Saba and Corellia on full combat status.  Board Alpha and Charlie company on the Corellia.  Split up the Equipment and vehicles between the Saba and the Corellia.  If the Admiral says the go then we go in.  MOVE!" he told Eastwood.

"Dont worry Admiral, Bravo company has some men who will go.  Can your ship accomodate 100 men?" he inquired to the Admiral.

OOC**Then dont claim that I am stupid because if you do that, then I will make sure you are scrubbing Plasma manifolds.  You may play an Marine intelligence office but keep in mind your a PRIVATE, not a General.  As long as you know your place and dont insult the intelligence of those higher then you, then you will be fine.

You may be enlisted but that doesnt give you the right to disrespect or question your superiors.  Your place is to provide intel and then let those higher then you decide what to do with the intel.  Thats your place.  But blindly telling me or anyone that they are less intelligent then you is blantantly wrong and unjustified.

Now if we are done with this pointless debate mind getting on with the mission.

Very well, mobilise the marines, and get them on the ships. Have them stay at a full combat ready status. However do so discretely, SS Avalon doesnt need to know that half their planets ground forces are leaving. Especially when an Admiral has told them not to.

i'll be on the Fenix. Powell are you going to come along?

"Very good.  Hows your arm?.  It appears to be acting up again sense the Jarkenan incident."

"I want you to go with, Admiral Julian.  Hes requested some of my best men and your one of them.  I want you to watch his back.  This is a stealth mission only, if Julian looses sight of that I want you to reinforce the fact that hes an Admiral and doesnt need to put himself in harms way like he did with the Felian incident, am I clear?" he whispered to Eastwood.

"Oliver and I will stay behind till you call.  Then we will come if the planet shows some degree of warp travel.  But remember pure stealth.  Go and meet Admiral Julian on the Fenix."

"Yes, General.  Just keep in mind, I wouldnt be a very good Col. IF I didnt do my job which is to protect you from harm.  So keep that in mind when I object to you going into hostile situations." he said as he leaned against the wall casually knowing that the General knew he meant well.

"You dont need an entire platoon for a stealth operation.  The needed men are being sent on the operation.  I will stay here with Oliver on standby.  Ok?" he said to the General.

According to intel there are three Carriers, and 12 Raiders in orbit and they have droped about 12,000 troops and taken several major cities with very high governing properties. They are almost leaderless. Their planetary defences were wiped out ina  matter of five minutes and the military is scattered and broken. Also there could be more ships coming in to reinforce thier invasion force. With your permission I request to send in the Amrines to intervene."

"Hmmmm, Until further notice we are on standby I suppose.  Oh, I need you to help make sure everything is onboard the ships incase we have to leave in a hurry.  For now, I need you to make sure we have medical supplies, if we leave and are forced into combat we are bound to get wounded make sure the ships are as best equiped as possible.  Keep it low key, we dont need Avalon station knowing about this operation or the activity down here.  Keep it as low key as possible, we are probly going to be doing alot of beaming up gear and men and vehicles so make sure they are beamed up and taken care of, break out the heavy weaponry.  Like the Plasma Gattling guns.  If we have to defend that planet then we need to make sure we can hold the line and entrench ourselves quickly.  We will probly not have much time but if we have to mobilize in a hurry I want to be deployed on that planet just as fast.  Set up fire teams to hold the line and hold key area's.  Pretty much make sure everyone is well informed that we may be going into heavy combat which means alot of the younger marines may faulter make sure they dont.  Understand?" he told Oliver.

<When the door to the office closed>

"Powell, I suggest we watch Meyer's.  I think hes going to end up in the brig before too long, he was on the verge of insubordination.  So we best keep him away from vital area's of the base.  I dont think he gets the seriousness of the Marine Corp." he told Powell with Julian standing nearby.

OFF: Balk, i know your excited about the  mission but you need to slow things down about to give me a chance to reply to things with my characters. Also I don't like the how you treated Private Meyers in one of your posts. next time I expect better treatment of your enlisted men for they are the back bone of the entire marone corp. Without them there will be only but a few officers and that is not going to stop a Kazon invasion. Also without the respect of your enlisted men how will you be able to depend on them and how will they be able to depend on you? Think about that for a moment.

OOC**Agreed.

IC**

"Hmmmm, I think I have just the men.  Tho as a contingency I suggest that we have the marines and equipment divided between the Saba, Corellia, and the Washington just incase we have to move quickly to the planet.  I know its not what you had in mind but marines always have a back up plan, not to mention if they do demostrate warp then we can act immediately without having to wait for men, gear, and vehicles to load up.  That will take quite awhile to pull off, so as of now the marines are on standby just in case."

"Yes. The prime Directive does say we cannot interfere but the Kazon are warp capible attacking a pre-warp planet. Its wrong and should be stopped. But I am not sure what High Command would say. Colonel I need you to bring Vice Admiral Julian and Admiral Yates here ASAP. I shall consult the matter with them and get their opinions. Go now. Quickly."

This is whats going to happen. You dont need a ship in the outer rim of the Solar system. A small team will accompany me in the Fenix and head straight for the planet. We can get right in and see whats going on. *talks while reading off the padd he was given* According to this intel, the species were doing tests on warp jumps. This convinces me enough to make sure there next test is a success. I will accompany you and will stay on the Fenix and keep in constant contact with your team. If the next test is a success, then i want an all out assault to defend that planet. If not the order will be given to back off and return to base. Understood? This stretches my boundaries so dont question the proposal you've been given. There will be no exception to it. Organise your team.

IC: Honestly Colonel 100 men will be too many. It will turn the eyes of the enemy to the jump. however a group of your 10 best men will suffice. The smaller the group, the less chance of detection. Don't you agree?
