Mission One: Save the People, Make the Jump.

[Jacob Ressik]

Sergeant Ressik makes his way to the office.

He enters and see's General Powell and Colonel Balkazar, He salutes them before asking, "Whats the situation, all i've heard is some invassion including a prewarp people, so intervention is a no go."


Ressik was quite tired as he had spent the last 2 and hald hours on the rifle range, practising his sniper skills.  He manage to stiffle a yawn, hoping no one noticed how tired he was,

[Balkazar]

"I suggest against it, General.  Your place isnt in the field." he cautioned the General.

[Balkazar]

<Rushing into the Office after getting the call>

"Sir, whats going on here?, theres a distress call according to the Ops officer." he inquired.

[Balkazar]

"Yes sir.  Ill head over the Starfleet base now."

<Balkazar didnt salute for haste was paramount.  He exited the marine base into the court yard where several Alpha company drivers were waiting.  He motioned for them to mount up as he got into one of the Puma's.  Then 3 Puma's exited the court yard heading for the Starfleet base>

[Mike Powell]

"Calm down major. I feel the same you do but we cannot go and defy the prim directive. It is a pre-warp civilization and  there is not much we can do until I get High Commands approval."

[Mike Powell]

*...Powell takes the PADD and salutes Meyer. He reads threw it and looks to Meyer and Keller...*

"Keller, thats enough from you. I understand the situation but we must go through procedure. Meyer, how old is this report?"

[Andrew Yates]

*Andrew was standing at the door listening to Powells report.*

"General how long has this been going on?"

[Mike Powell]

*Startled by Yate's sudden appearance he Salutes and replies.*

"Sir, about 2 hours and counting. If we are gonig to act we need to do so quickly before all hope is lost."

[Julian]

OFF: why? lol

[Andrew Yates]

"I am sorry General but it is not our place to decide if a civilization succeeds or not. The only way we can get involved if by some miracle they make a jump. But un til that happens we stay out of it. Now take care."

*Yates leaves and returns to Avalon Station.*

[Gregory Meyer]

He looks curiously at Balkazar

"You have a knack for stating the obvious. Its not a contest I assure you. I'm sure i'm a private, i know my title, and my job. I even suggested i go."

[Clyde Eastwood]

*Eastwood walked into the office as meyer was walking out*

"what in the hell was his problem Balkazar, he didnt even give me a salute on the way out, talk about trying to provoke one of the most edgy guys here, ME hahah, and i swear if that private does get into my crosshairs ill make mince meat of him."

*Eastwood then looked around and saw the General standing there, he turns to him and Salutes him*

"Holy #### sir i didnt see you standing there, im sorry but all these young soldiers who think they know better then most of us vetreans, it just really annoys the crappa out of me"

OFF: Bal man chill buddy. i've read all the posts over and over. Meyers requested that we send operatives. Balkazar then told him to after Yates left, to send the operatives. Meyers then said that he just asked to do that, which he shouldnt have really done, cause thats what stirred this up. Now Bal, told him to hurry and gather the info, ignoring the remark. Then Meyers, instead of simply being a Marine and following the chain of command and confirming his orders and leaving, he stuck up for himself and backchatted Bal. 1st time it happened Bal let it slip, second time he didnt. He used his authority to get the marine moving. But no Meyers had to backchat again. Thats how i see it as an unbiased view. The Colonel had every right to stick up for himself after the 2nd time. It has nothing to do with whos smarter than the other. Its a matter of wording what your saying right.

The matter is over and done with. Time to build a bridge the both of you. Pretend it never happened. Once everyone has had a chance to read this, the OOC posts will be deleted. "Eastwood, contact Richerd.  Have his team go with the Admiral on the Fenix.  Have the USS Saba and Corellia on full combat status.  Board Alpha and Charlie company on the Corellia.  Split up the Equipment and vehicles between the Saba and the Corellia.  If the Admiral says the go then we go in.  MOVE!" he told Eastwood.

"Dont worry Admiral, Bravo company has some men who will go.  Can your ship accomodate 100 men?" he inquired to the Admiral.

[Balkazar]

OOC**Then dont claim that I am stupid because if you do that, then I will make sure you are scrubbing Plasma manifolds.  You may play an Marine intelligence office but keep in mind your a PRIVATE, not a General.  As long as you know your place and dont insult the intelligence of those higher then you, then you will be fine.

You may be enlisted but that doesnt give you the right to disrespect or question your superiors.  Your place is to provide intel and then let those higher then you decide what to do with the intel.  Thats your place.  But blindly telling me or anyone that they are less intelligent then you is blantantly wrong and unjustified.

Now if we are done with this pointless debate mind getting on with the mission.
