(OFF: The mission has been dormant a month now. Is anyone still here?)

Rikan stands from the command chair.

"Welcome back, Chief. Several Romulan ships entered the area minutes ago, but I couldn't contact you. There was interference from the ship's drive systems."

"Chief, they continue to break our speed limits and ignore our presence. Shall I send them a warning?"

"The Dralian's shields are down, shall I teleport her to the holding cells?"

The reply from the Evolution comes through.

The commlink is muted as Lauren summons Captain Sanchez.

(OFF: I think he meant a part of the border that is not adjacent to Starfleet space, such as the DA northern or western border.)

"The Evolution is scanning also. I can't help but wonder what they want with this dead hulk?"

"Two days, Chief. I hate these speed limits. At maximum warp we could be there in under an hour."

(OFF: I COMPLETELY forgot about this character...)

"It says here, the only ones capable of defeating the Na'Jigat are the... Gallifreyians. The name sounds vaguely familiar, Chief, Have we encountered them before?"

Rikan looks absorbed, and has a sullen gaze on his face.

"Chief? Did he say what races have seceded?"

"Aye sir."

"Firing plasma cannons!"

A volley of blue pulses fly from the cannons, and smash against the shuttle's engines.

"Shuttle disabled. I have it in a tractor beam. Shall I bring it to the launch bay?"

In the Chief's absense, Rikan moves to the command chair.

"Keep a teleporter lock on them. Should the Starfleet crew attack, I want so be able to get them off that ship."

Rikan had moved to the Tactical console when they picked up weapons fire on the sensors.

"Aye, Chief, charging plasma cannons."

Several spherical hatches open all over the hull of the Revox, and turret-mounted cannons emerge out of them. They begin firing blue pulses of energy at the Dralian vessel. The Evolution begins firing as well, and within seconds, the Dralian's port engine explodes, all but crippling the vessel.

"I can't help but agree that we should look for anything that can help us against the Na'jigat, but perhaps a dedicated science vessel would be more appropriate for such a search?"

"Thank you, sir. Signalling... Initiating null-space jump."

The Revox disappears into null-space.

"Clear of the catapult. Jump was successful."
