(OFF: Right. I have no idea what the last page means. Back to the game, folks...)

"Admiral, the enemies are being driven off. We've recaptured the majority of the station, thanks to the Gallifreyans."

Will sat up and looked at the adjutant. "Good," he said, "we may yet win this fight."

*Kawolsky follows Lurado down the corridor. Lights flicker and bulkheads come apart to reveal the electronics inside. Time passes...*

"At the moment, sir, I'm not getting anything on my tricorder...WAIT...standby....Yep, I got something. Approximately 25m in that direction. It's a lifesign..."

*Kawolsky points down the bleak corridor. They cautiously continue...*

"WAIT! Sir, It's on the move!  Kawolsky shouts out.

"It's getting closer! 20m, 15, 10. Sir, what do we do?"

"I know Rogue 2.  He'd behave.  I'm not sure about his sisters, but hopefully they'll cooperate.  Shurri Firesword be with them." Ardeth said, praying to his God of Robotics.  He was hoping they'd keep their cool and not attack.  Rogue 2 peeped, and advanced onward, pale blue screen lighting their way to the door.  Ardeth clunked forward, having lost his shoes and socks.  Bare metal feet made a lot of noise.  He also held his right arm out further than usual, and also seemed careful about thumb position.  Rogue 2 beeped, and said, "4 life-signs, 9:00 low" Ardeth translated, "Rogue 2 sensed 4 lifesigns, all straight ahead when you turn left.  They're on the ground."  Rogue 2 said, "I coulda done that!  I just don't like to.  Now cut the chatter, and move on." Rogue 2 then slid the door open, and raised the Webcam Laser from its holding area.  He then slid the door forward again and readied himself for any sign of fire.

Gordon places his hands behind his back.

"A matter that should not be so drawn out. They must know it has been settled many weeks ago."

He smiles and walks to Lurado and Montrell.

"Are their any diplomatic assignments i could tend to?"

OOC**Ardeth I healed your rogue robots, thats what the green Burst was.

IC**The battle continues to rage on, and About 80% of the 60 forces were dead in a matter of Minutes.......Noticing the Rogue Units were in danger and strange flying robots were dropping heavy objects on the psi warriors, HK47 Quickly heads towards rogue units, to begin another Repair Stream*

*once done, HK47 then Cleaves 2 in half at once, then Beheading another that was sneaking up behind them......Quickly changing his Left arm mount from a sword to a Flame thrower, Fires it into a group of psi warriors who were attacking the marines, and Watches them Burn as HK47 keeps his flame thrower up, and his sword slashing*
Title: The Battle of Avalon
Post by: Taurik on January 12, 2006, 03:24:13 AM
Taurik spun. He parried. He swung. He countered. He jumped. He repositioned.

The commander raised his blade high. Taurik was ready. The Heraani began to stroke the blade downward. Taurik went into the block. He calculated his immediate counter. He could throw the blade away from him, stunning the alien with the strength of the counter. Then, he could go for an attack at the commander's midsection...

..but the elite dropped his blade down, then raised it up and caught Taurik be surprise. Taurik felt a slight pain, and watched as his forearm, from the elbow down, fell to the deck.

Several Gallifreyan cruisers drop from hyperspace, and begin approaching Starbase Avalon. A wide-beam transmission goes out to the Starfleet defense force.

"This is Master Techerakh of the Order of Gallifrey. We have come to defend this outpost from the Na'jigat."

Stay put.......*Balkazar to Ops*, "We got major problems down here on Prominade deck, seems theres roughly 60! Dark Psi Warriors down here....I think they may be trying to gain a foot hold on the station sense we been meeting with lil resistance till now, and I dont think my small group can outflank these boys without being spotted..........what are your orders ?"

*Balkazar to Marines*......."What is your location ?, If your near the prominade hold your position theres too many for us both to handle down there without loosing lives, and personally, I would like to not see 2 cadets get slaughtered bye these things."

"Brown here, go ahead."

"Sir, I believe have an idea for increasing the power reserves."

"Go on" Brown replies.

"If we evacuate all decks except engineering, ops and the most vital areas of the station, and re-route all of the power from life support, artificial gravity etc, we should be able to boost the power reserves by at least 40%."
Title: The Battle of Avalon
Post by: Taurik on November 08, 2005, 12:26:05 PM
Immense psionic reading can be seen on the scanners of the fleetships. Space looked calm for a moment, but gained a slight violet tint as the Na'jigat clusters moved into the area.

Out of nowhere, a small, golden vessel flies out of warp and right through the Na'jigat, and stops.

The vessel takes up a posture similar to that of the Na'jigat. Suddenly, more vessels of varying class began to arrive in the same manner. One at first, then more. Tens made way to hundreds.

A glow could be seen on many of the vessels as their plasma weaponry warmed up.

A message came through on the subspace radio. "Captain Taurik to the fleet," it said.

"Battlestations."

The Wer'Wolf simply routed his power, and Rogue 2's sisters' power into the power reserves.  another 10% gained due to Rogue Power.  Rogue 2 inched around the medical bay, battery at its peak power.  Ardeth laughed.  He knew his robots had extra strong batteries.  10% for 3 hours would be a great amount for some things.

Rogue 2 listen, I would NEVER! harm your sisters or any sentient life, But you almost gave me no choice.  I would go to great lengths even my own life to protect Ardeth, or any other cadet that im responsible for.  I agree that Sentient life should never be terminated, But you gave me no choice.  You may be mad at me, your sisters may be mad at me, lord knows I have enemies, But you had a choice.  You made the wrong one and almost ended your existence.  The only way I would have fired is if you harmed ardeth or myself or anyone else on this station.  Now, I will let Ardeth give you motor controls back IF! you give me your word you will NOT! harm anyone on this station UNLESS! you been given a Direct order from a superior.  Understood ?

And If your nice enough, Ill talk to a friend of mine and see if you can get actual bodies.  But thats with restrictions.  And it depends on how cooperative you are.  Understood ?

*goes over and picks up rogue 2 and holds him face to face*

You may be a robot, but you have a brain.  I would like it if you used it!.  Alright ?.

The only way I would end your existence is if you gave me no choice.  As well as if you harmed anyone on this station.  You harm anyone without reason, I WILL! end your existence.  I want to be your friends Rogue 2, but your out of control.  You need discipline.  If you allow us to teach you that, you may JUST! may be a very good robot to have around.  So if you Behave yourself You will be rewards, you disobey your superiors you will be punished.  Simple as that, and its pretty much your own way of getting out of here.  Im a nice guy if you give me half a chance, and Hopefully Over time you will learn that I am a sentient person who learns to make the rough choices, Im only Human, and being Human is all part of making mistakes.

OOC**I zoned out.  Right there, But in short im giving the rogue units a way out of being dismantled lol, They want to be sentient life, then they will learn to be sentient life :).  Besides I wouldnt destroy the Rogue units anyways :D

The Rogue units began pumping primitive gunpowder weapon fire into anything on the other side.  Wildcat scowled as he saw Rogue 2 hit, and grabbed his dagger from his boot, throwing it at the mere soldier who knocked the antenna off it.  "I'm calling in backup!" Wildcat said, concerned, as he called in the FR group.  6 Flying Robots zoomed in, dropping weighty objects on the warriors!

*The cadet then rushed over to the captain, phaser rifle in hand. He aimed at the enemy and fired three bursts from his rifle. The first two missed, however, the last one hit the torso. However, the creature shrugged it off after a moment. Kawolsky rushed over to the captain, the elite's health unknown to him.*

"Captain, are you OK? That looks bad. I'm beaming you directly to sic-"

"No cadet. I'll be fine" He said, with a typical Starfleet captain's attitude.

"But sir, you're-"

"That's enough cadet. I'm fine, really"

Rogue 2's monitor face glinted in the bright light.  He looked sad, and scared.  "Um, Balkazar, I'd be a little more careful." Ardeth said, "Rogue 2 has a weird looking Webcam hidden somewhere, and I think it is really not something you want fired in your face.  Rogue 2 hasn't ever wanted to be as tall as anything besides himself.  If you've noticed, he's frightened, not by your angry speech, but from the height at which he is being held.  (oh, and Balkazar, Rogue 2 weighs about 50 pounds.)  Rogue 2's usually mischievious face had vanished, as he restarted himself.  He had brought motors online, with Ardeth's permission.  "I'll calm down.  Just don't harm me, and I would rather stay this size.  Same with my sisters." Rogue 2 said, a sliding door opening to reveal the webcam.  "I won't need a phaser.  I've got a great little weapon here.  It's a laser." he said, retracting it and closing the door.  It hissed as the inside was removed of oxygen.

The Heraani leapt at him with speed that belied his psionic power. Taurik barely had time to raise his blade to parry, and was knocked to the ground. Backflipping from the ground instantly, he narrowly missed being impaled as the commander stabbed his blade into the deck.

1,000 people huh ?, Well think of it this way, you know how Simon rajnus got to Captian ?, He made the WORST! descision ever when he accidently took command of a ship and he lost 1,000+ ppl before as well, you think he made captian bye making all the easy choices, Knowing him he would make the worst possible ones, THATS! why Intel Command trusts him, is because he makes some of the worst descisions ever, but he learned from his mistakes, and now hes a better captian, and a better man for it.

Your only human!, me and you, we cant play gods, and bring back the ones we lost, all we can do is learn from our mistakes, honor the dead, and live our lives the fullest, thats all anyone can ever do........I was in a mental break down once, did you know that ?, MAN!! I was so depressed after loosing my first man, and whats worse is Killing another, the first time I killed another man, I took a leave for almost a year, but then Simon came to me and told me to buck up, Grow up, and live my life, And thanks to him im a security officer, a commander to add to that, and im on a station after serving several years on a starship......Your no longer in the academy where you run simulations, or run training Excersises that when someone gets a minor injury they get sent to the infirmory, your in the big show now, your here, in space risking your life for some ppl who cant defend themselves, your protecting your family, and im protecting mine bye doing my part, Dont dwell on the loss, dwell and look forward to your future, and besides if you dont return to Intel, ill send That droid after you *smiles*

Also being in command, you also have to send people to there deaths sometimes, They new the risks when they went to the academy, they knew the risks, You realize at any point in time we could die ?, I could have died in this fight here, you could die out on a ship, or on a planet from some unknown virus or some such, So its all part of starfleet.

If you thought of every option with your limited training and you did the best you could then thats all that matters, doing your best even if you dont have the training.  And According to what I been hearing from the grape vine is that your a fine officer, and if you quit every single time you loose someone you wont get far in starfleet, You have my word on that.

But If I were you would stick it out a lil while longer in starfleet before you make any rash descisions, Alright ?....Learn from ppl, thats all I can tell ya is to watch and learn from different ppl and see how well they command, then make up your mind if your ready to take command of a ship or not!, Got it ?,

Your no longer in the academy anymore youngin, and sooner you realize it the better off you are......

Ambassador on this station says that the Sal'Tek are a myth and we are just dreaming up everything, HERE! is our proof that Gordon has no idea what hes talking about." *then smacks a padd into Admiral Voraks hand all the while keeping a very serious look and glare on his beaten up scared and cut face*

"I have ALSO! lost over 300 good officers, and practically almost lost the USS Unity due to these MYTHS! that Ambassador Gordon thinks we are coming up with or shall I say the Alliance is coming up with just so they can protect us.  I assure you admiral that PADD gives you the proof, and the almost destruction of the Unity is material proof of the Sal'Tek Incursion!.  If it wasnt for the assistence of the Alliance aiding us, we would have been destroyed and you would have lost an intel ship.  Who will you believe, a Ambassador who sits in his office all day and has NO! idea what hes talking about, or the Officers who now litter the Unity's decks, who are stuck in pain and agony all over the Unity's Medical bay, Who will you believe ?, one of your own ships! and what we have been threw, or will you believe an uptight Ambassador who knows NOTHING! of the threats of the galaxy save what he may read in reports, ALSO! Admiral.  Your Ambassador just disrespected the Alliance when the Alliance were trying to be respectful to him." Simon says rather angry and yet with a slight respectful tone in his voice even tho he just did just speak rather loud to an admiral.

Ardeth tried to escape from the restraints, now fully alert, the servo motors growling as he tried to pull free.  Nothing happened, and he soon found that he wouldn't be able to escape this time, either.  The same thing happened, knocking out his motors.  Grumbling to himself, he gave up, and relaxed, flesh-and-blood tail twitching anxiously.  "Why are we headed to the Medical bay, and why in the name of Earth am I restrained?" Ardeth said, baring his fangs.
Title: The Battle of Avalon
Post by: Ardeth Wildcat on January 24, 2006, 12:53:20 AM
Ardeth finally gave up the attempts at using conventional weapons.  He switched on the electromagnets in his toes and fingertips, and stuck to the ceiling, laughing.  "Have fun trying to get me down now!" he said, laughing.  He glared around the room, remembering to try and dodge any incoming phaser fire, or Hyposprays.  He didn't want to have full motor loss again.  It was bad enough he couldn't move his legs, so he really didn't want to lose control of his arms.  Sliding around the ceiling, he bared those sharp metallic fangs, glaring again.  He felt motors catch in his legs as they switched back on.  He was fully mobile again.  Even his flesh-and-blood tail twitched, as if mocking them.  He laughed again, locking his feet into the ceiling, and aimed his arms around the room.  Eyes no longer glaring, but now glowing slightly, he tried to burst through his arms again.  Instead, it backfired, launching him into the floor hard.  "Now I've gone and done it.  Created a short-circuit there, and propelled from the ceiling.  Oh well, I'll go quietly, but you better sedate me just in case.  Knocking out my motors didn't work for long."

Cadets help me over there to that man, *leaning on the cadets the cadets and Balkazar make there way to the civilian*

Excuse me, Are you Richard brown ?, I just recieved a message saying you left because you lost people under your command ?, and your second guessing ?,

Well Dont do that, With command comes responsibility, Its natural to loose people, I have lost so many people under my command that I have had nightmares over it, and someday these cadets will have to make Difficult descisions that will possibly kill ppl, But thats the responsibility that comes with rank.

Today in this fight, I probly had around 2 cadets wounded, and several security officers injured to the point they are in sickbay right now, Its part of life as starfleet, you make difficult descisions, As a Lt, its even harder because you dont have the training to understand those choices, and yet you probly never will understand them, but when it comes down to it, you will try to make the best possible descision you can........Understand ?, Loosing ppl under your command is part of being High ranking, Youll loose even more people before your time is threw, Trust me........

*Walking through the corridors*

He walked past several dead bodies, some in starfleet uniforms and others he could not recognize.  He still was unaware that anything had changed so he was fearful of some alien jumping out of the corner and blasting him.

It had been a long time since he last felt this fear, it was on his last mission as a freighter that they were raided by an unknown force.

Eventually he found a turbolift and ordered it to OPS.

Once there he saw many officers standing around and working to fix many problems

"What has happened?" He said in confusion. He looked out the viewscreen and sighed " I have missed it right?, I missed the battle? Did you kill them all?"
Still not knowing the truth

OOC**I had alredy left I was in a hurry, and with my computer doing a complete dump and nothing saved had to be fixed, So I apologize for the lateness of this.

IC**An Incoming message comes in from Dantor, The face of Balkazar appears on the screen*

Admiral, I know my duties lie in the station of avalon, but I also have duties to my friends.  The good General, needed my help.  It seems that theres a threat coming down on the station here on Dantor, I ask that you dont ask me to come back because that would be having me go against my own judgements, So I apologize if im going over the hill, but I am here on dantor to assist the general in protecting his station.  From what I dont know.  All I know is that it required myself, and my cadets, I promise I will bring the cadets back alive, they are getting first hand experience of what its like being in the life of a security guard, and they need the extra experience with working with marines, perhaps it will do them good in the long run.  Please Admiral, Understand the reason I had to leave in a hurry.  If I had to do this over again I would in a heart beat.  But I must go and attend to the security of the station.  Ill see you when I get back.  Balkazar out*

Rogue 3 bravely fought on, activating a rather old, and clunky, shield generator.  A vivid blue shield crackled to life.
"Did you think I only installed one Shield?  I'm smarter than that!" Wildcat said, slightly offended.  Rogue 2 stopped fighting, helping repair Rogue 3 "At this rate, I'll be giving out a new paint job to these 3 of them.  Blast!" Rogue 1 got hit severely, taking out a motor "Thank goodness I used 4 motors for 4 wheels!  That'll damage her retreat!"

Ardeth ducked, grabbed the Rogue unit, and scampered into another area, working at super high speed to repair some of the damage.  He screamed, "YOU MURDERER!" and continued working, trying to patch up the personality circuits, and get the machine back online.  The Hard disk was still fully operational, but the rest of the Rogue 2 unit was heavily damaged.  The flying robot didn't stand a chance, but the Rogue Units were tough little buggers.  He would have to start Operation Werewolf, and activate his worst little robot, the Wer'wolf, and get it working.  He knew how well caster wheels worked for maneuverability.  Rogue 2 peeped and squeaked feebly, lights dim and still fading.  Ardeth stood up, fury in his eyes, and reached for his backpack, pulling out a rather large robot, and activating it.  It malfunctioned immediately, jamming up and switching off.  Ardeth flipped a different switch, and it folded into its operational form.  It looked like a suitcase made from metal, with glowing green camera eyes.  It zipped around on 4 caster wheels, using individual motors and steering motors to zip in crazy patterns.  A single solitary antenna stuck up from the rear top shielding. The shielding allowed heavy protection from damage.  The Wer'wolf was at full speed, and couldn't be destroyed with such a simple weapon.  A grabber arm protruded from in front of the antenna like a scorpion's tail.  This whipped up and crunched the Phase Compression Rifle into a twisted scrap of metal, and let go, snapping at Aonarin's legs and poking with a sharpened fingertip.  It poked and pinched, trying to drive them all away from its master and Creator, Ardeth Wildcat.  It peeped and whistled, grumbled and burned rubber.  Some remains of the Flying Robot was in the Wer'wolf's way, and it just simply drove sideways, forward, the other sideways, and then continued on its rampage.  The Wer'wolf shot forward, this time holding a heavy mass in its pinching hand.  It threw the object at impressive speeds.  It was the remains of a phaser, and this smashed into a wall near Balkazar's head!

Im sorry for your Rogue Unit, Manach had no business doing that to him.  I was actually fond of that lil guy even tho he was a robot.  I have repremanded him for it to the Highest Degree, thats all I can do.  But Right now you need to tell your robots to back off, im your friend here.

Do you Trust me Ardeth, ? at the very least you should trust me.  Right now im trusting you bye coming in here unarmed.  And trying to talk to you instead of doing what my training dictated and used force, Im sorry for using force, but there was no alternitive.  But now im trying to talk to you as a person.  Instead of some monster.  So please trust me and come with me with lil difficulties, please ?

Would it be better for you to trust HK47 instead of me ?, if you ever trusted me, Come with me without to lil trouble.  Please ?, Because if you dont, Then I will be without options.  I dont wish to go that far and I hope that you dont either.

This is Flag Admiral Vorak speaking. We have recently received word that an attack on Avalon Station is impending. The enemy in this case, is the Na'jigat, a species that exist of pure mental energy and thus are unable to be killed by conventional weapons. Also shields are useless. Read more about the Na'jigat, their strength and weakness, in the database at http://www.expansionfleet.com/cgi-bin....najigat . Thank you.

This is a call for all ships of all divisions, with a request for military assistance to the highest possible degree. Avalon Station is about to be attacked soon, and the impact will be grave. Please send all available ships to Avalon Station. If this station falls, then the position of Starfleet and the Federation in the Delta Quadrant will become unstable.

Any ships arriving at Avalon Station may report their arrival to Avalon Station's Ops here http://www.expansionfleet.com/cgi-bin....=50;r=1 in Avalon Station Operations > Station Ops > topic "The Battle of Avalon".

Post by: Ardeth Wildcat on January 26, 2006, 03:46:04 AM
Ardeth sat there, working with hatred on the damaged Rogue 2.  He threw a fit and a half when he found the last wrench, the one he needed, was broken.  He threw the broken wrench across the room, and slid down the wall, cradling the battered Rogue 2, and trying to repair it with what he had left.  Weeping softly, Ardeth picked up half of the wrench and began working again.  Rogue 2 spoke to him as he worked, its voice soft and gentle.  Somehow, Ardeth felt calmed by this sudden reality that his robot might be repairable, and grabbed a few different tools, including stopping the Wer'wolf from pinching him while he worked.  He picked up a few different tools, and fixed the circuitboard, real tears creating a full bond between Rogue 2 and Ardeth, causing it to create and open pathways never known before.  It would have AI and an ability to learn.  It would be as much a cadet as Ardeth himself.  In fact, he'd do the same for the Wer'wolf, and then the rest of his robots.  He swept up the remains of the Flying Robot #1, and kept them in the dustpan, tears falling on the remains of a bent rotor blade, a circuitboard fragment, and a little wheel and sensor.  "Poor thing didn't stand a chance.  I can't rebuild you, but I can... Wait!" Ardeth suddenly searched the whole medical bay for the little memory card that was used by the Flying Robots.  Finding it, he picked it up, the both of them.  Finding an empty shell, he slipped the cards in there, and painted a bright yellow 1 on the side.  Yellow for Resurrection. Ardeth thought, as the Medical bay became home to Ardeth's Robotic Troops.  The Wer'Wolf sat there, the new AI program and Personality Programming taking effect.  Rogue 2 jumped and clawed Ardeth's leg with a track, attempting to avoid the pain of the soldering iron.  The Resurrected Flyte 1 zoomed around the room, keeping on the lookout for any other enemies: people who carried phasers were now targets.  Ardeth also tinkered with his gloves, creating a hand-worn weapon for each side. His menacing glares at the Med-bay doors were full of hatred at the one who did this.  RF1 flew up to the transparent window, and raised one hand in an obscene gesture, before retracting it.  Robots swarmed the bay, pulling things down for metal to integrate into each other, and trying to weaken Sickbay to let them all out.  Ardeth found the scraps of the phaser still embedded in the wall.  "Well, certainly there's a power cell of some kind." Ardeth whispered, pulling it from the wall and removing the cell.  He placed it in his new weapons, the gloves of doom.  Rogue 2 powered up, leapt from Ardeth's lap, peeled a sheet of metal from some odd looking device, and tack-welded it on top of himself.  All of Ardeth's Robotic fleet gained this AI program, and a Personality to themselves.
From outside Sickbay, a fully upgraded Rogue 1 activated her AI and Personality programs, and sneaked down on thick rubber wheels, holding what looked like a rather heavy rock.
Rogue 3 slid around on his tracks, aiming a lost phaser around corners.
A Swarm of Flying Robots flew around, giving out obscene hand-gestures to any carrying phasers.
The Finite Group of robots rattled around on rather shaky legs, carrying rather large weapons.
Title: The Battle of Avalon
Post by: Ardeth Wildcat on January 27, 2006, 11:44:35 PM
Rogue 2 shrieked in fright, and went hiding behind Ardeth.  "Don't let him shoot me.  I hate phasers!" Rogue 2 said.  Ardeth told Balkazar, "Please, sir, lower your phaser.  Rogue 2 is afraid to die now, as all sentient beings should be.  He's just in a foul mood too.  And don't even try the transporter thing, Rogue 2 just relayed that to me, and I tell you, though it would work, it would make my robots think I was dead because they would lose contact with me.  Then they'd go independent and attack you."  Rogue 2 yelped, and opened the disc tray, loaded a CD-ROM, and closed it.  Revving it up, he prepared to pop the drive if Ardeth's request was denied.  He had a certain wicked sense of humor.  CD's were fun to fire, but he could also fire a phaser with relative accuracy.  He just hated phasers.  The 2, Ardeth and Rogue 2, waited, the only noise made by the buzzing of Rogue 2's drive, reaching critical mass.  He kept it spinning, ready to fire at any second.  He could also power down, but deceleration from these speeds could mean sudden death for himself.  He'd cut power to the motor, and let it wind down, instead of hitting the Stop spin button.

(btw, CD-Roms are Rogue 2's weapon of choice.  A grappling arm is his close range, but for long distances, he revs up a CD and pops the disc tray.  It comes out nicely, reminding me of the time when My computer did it to me.)

It was heavily damaged and only 17 of the crew survived. They are now brining it back to the station, so we can retrieve the bodies. Commander Rasmain will report to me in about an hour, so then I'll have all the details."

"By the way, before I forget. Could you also make sure that the retrieving of all the bodies, ships and station, is done properly. I want all the bodies stored and prepared to either be cremated or sent back to Earth. It's better that a supervising officer is present and giving them a last sign of respect as they gave their lives for our survival."

Rogue 1, the previously malfunctioning robot, handcrafted an arm that worked and looked like the fallen one, and would fit instantly.  Rogue 1 popped and squeaked, handing the arm up to HK47.  Rogue 2 came out of nowhere, heavy mass banging off the walls as its medical scanning device came popping up from nowhere.  Rogue 3's drive system was dragging pieces as it ripped through the same hall that Rogue 1 and 2 came from.  They seemed mildly larger.  Ardeth laughed.  "They finally found the spare parts.  Rogue 2 didn't do anything, hey!  Give me that, you little snitch!" He said, trying to pull a data cable away from Rogue 3 to see what Rogue 2 did.  It became clear as the tracks jumped to life, and it sprinted down the hall.  "I guess it has faster motors now." he said meekly.

Ardeth's little robots came out, shrieking electronically at the Marines.  Rogue 2's siren started going off, as Ardeth landed on the floor.  "I didn't call them, sir." He said to Balkazar, trying to call them off.  They weren't responding.  "HK47, did you do something to my robots?" Ardeth inquired, wondering if the droid did it.
Title: The Battle of Avalon
Post by: Event Horizon on January 14, 2006, 07:43:30 PM
*The battle becomes more fierce than ever... The Heraan and Na'jigat continue to attack from every corner and the Gallifreyans are no longer strong enough to fight them all... Sentinels such as Taurik do their best as well, but also see they are losing field... All the Starfleet ships continue to fight on the frontlines, but suffer heavy damage and many losses. Several ships had been exploded, and many more Starfleet officers have been killed in the battle... On the viewscreen at ops on Avalon Station, the admirals watch powerless how the battle is turning more and more into their disadvantage, how their fine officers are sacrificing themselves on the frontlines while there is not even the slightest hope for victory... Defeat is apparent, and utter destruction seems unavoidable. But even if Starfleet surrendered, the Heraan and the Na'jigat would not stop their incursions, but continue to ravage everything until they had sucked up the last of the energy and left behind but a hollow graveyard. Was this how it was all supposed to end? The whole Starfleet project at the borders of the Delta Quadrant, that had thrived there for several years? Then, suddenly, the unexpected happened. Just when the Na'jigat and the Heraan was going to launch their final attack, something makes them hesitate... They become restless... What is happening? Are they planning something? Is something else drawing their attention? Or did something happen that stirred their fear? After some long, silent moments of hesitation, they suddenly withdraw in haste, and hurry away deeper into the Delta Quadrant, as if something was chasing them, or had called for them... What could it be? Obviously, a mysterious. But a mysterious that saved Expansion Fleet at the utter brink of destruction! Within minutes, there was no sign of the Na'jigat or Heraan any more, they were entirely gone... The battle was over, but the victory was hollow...*

OOC**Umm Reynolds Kawolsky is NOT! on the station, hes actually trying to help with keeping the Unity together after a righteous battle that almost obliterated the Unity from existence!

IC**Sensors beep on ops as there was what looked to be a vortex opening then closing and out came a war cruiser towing the Unity, as the Unity came closer the officers on station ops scanned the ship and they were struck in silence as a Federation ship came towards the station, the Unity was ripped to shreads, 1 Nacelle was destroyed, the saucer section was completely and almost destroyed there were clean cuts scorch marks from plasma leaks, the scans were going further along, what was really holding the ship together in the end was the ships shields and alot of luck.  The saucer section towards where the bridge would be was also in shambles.  The Entire ship as a whole was in shambles and it looked like it was about to fall apart, then a message comes in from the USS Unity*

*USS Unity to Avalon station*

"This is Captian Simon Rajnus of the USS Unity, its of the utmost importance I speak with Admiral Vorak immediately, We are requesting medical assistence and we need to use your station for major repairs.  I will speak to Admiral Vorak personally.  This is a Priority.  I will speak to Admiral Vorak, and him only.  Tell him we have arrived.  Tell him Intelligence is carrying information that may destroy all life in this galaxy.  I shall await your response.  Simon out."

Lurado, The psi warrior is out for awhile, then Ardeth went down and started to kick ppl and im trying to hold him down so he wont hurt anyone Except me!.  Manach Secure the alien.

*turning his head to face lurado again*

I had Manach inject Ardeth with nano bots, Its something HK47 gave me before he left on his mission that may be of use to young ardeth here.  I guess the nano bots are trying to locate and repair the damage done to him.  I suppose they knocked out his motor control.

*leans close to ardeth and whispers in his ear in hopes he hears me*
Youll be fine Ardeth.  I never judge people on there outside, You could be covered in green slime for all I care.  Just get better.

Whew. Kawolsky I got 2 restrainst in my bag, Put one on the alien there, and the other on ardeth, and if he breaks these im going to kill him.

Jeff was busy saying good bye to his ship, her time would come but for now she would get to rest.

Losing total attention to what was going on in the station Jeff sat out the battle in his office and sometimes roaming the ship checking for things out of place.

He didn't realize that there would be fighting on the station until he walked out of the umbilical tunnel, he could see debris lying around, burn marks, scorched metal, the stench of death, and weapons strewn about.

"Oh my," saying to himself "I have to get to Ops!"  He began to wander the halls heading for main Ops carefully taking a route that, hopefully, would not put him in harms way.

We usually dont get attacked this bad this often, *as there walking across what was once Noticable as the prominade Balkazar talks to his cadets*, yeah see this is what we try to avoid, With a war on a station theres bound to be well, a bulk head destroyed, or a panel out of place, But We will have alot of work ahead of us soon, With the wounded and the repairing the station, and such, But soon, Ill probly haveta go to the infirmery which I wont go just yet, but anyways, How did you 3 like your first intense battle such as this ?

"I'll call them off.  Just one surprise for you.  Turn around." Ardeth said, waving to a robot which had crawled up silently.  Rogue 2 glinted in the light, raising a grabber arm to tap Balkazar's leg.  "And the RFR 1, or Resurrected Flying Robot 1 is hovering just over head.  It'll get a little cramped if you turn off the force field, but that's why I called the robots.  Don't mind them unless they bite." Ardeth said, motioning for Balkazar to sit in front of Rogue 2.  "You can also have a realistic conversation with all of my robots." he said, sitting on the Wer'wolf, and gliding up to Balkazar, sliding off.  "Rogue 2, this is Balkazar." Ardeth said, pointing at Balkazar.  The Wer'wolf chirped out a melody, and then tried to lift up Rogue 2, unsuccessfully; Rogue 2 whomped the Wer'wolf with his metallic grabbing arm.  "Hey! Settle down!" Ardeth said angrily, wielding his half of the broken wrench at the 2 robots.  Rogue 2 chirped, "Yeah, Wer'wolf, back off, or I'll whomp ya a good one!" and thwacked it with a chunk of the compression rifle.

Title: The Battle of Avalon

=^= Avalon Station to the Fleet =^=
This is Flag Admiral Vorak speaking. I would like to thank all those who have answered our distress call so swiftly, for your presence here at Avalon Station. It takes courage to stand at the frontline, facing an enemy that apparently cannot be defeated, but we cannot stand by and face our own destruction without defending ourselves.

The battle to come may appear hopeless, but it is not. The Gallifreyans have left us with valuable information regarding some weaknesses of the Na'jigat. Since the Na'jigat is unable to travel through space at a speed faster than light, anything related to warp speed can make it a little more difficult for them. But do not misunderstand me here, for any kind of explosions or anti-matter bombs will only fuel the Na'jigat, and make them stronger. They are able to feed of any energy in existence. But light speed can be used to our advantage.

Gather warp particles, which are emmitted by your starships while travelling at warp speed, and use these particles in your shielding and station's structural integrity. I am aware that this is not easy to do, but if your scientists and engineers work together, it may be possible.

Another option is the Soliton Wave, a subspace wave of energy that does not diminish and obtains warp speeds... This could be used to drive back the Na'jigat, and though it will not damage them, it may cause the Na'jigat cloud to disperse and become separate clouds that are therefore less powerful and don't have the ability to communicate with one another.

We have two agents among our ranks of the Order of Gallifrey, including captain Taurik of the U.S.S. Rivendell, who are the only ones able to defeat - though not destroy - the Na'jigat. If we are able to disperse the Na'jigat clouds, making them less powerful, we give Taurik and ambassador Vurak the ability to defeat them more easily.

These are the only options available to fight the Na'jigat. Abandon your phasers, torpedoes or shields. They will be useless to you, and worse, make the enemy even stronger.

Here are my final orders. All the ships will take a battle formation, surrounding Avalon Station. You MUST hold that position as long as possible, and prevent the Na'jigat from breaking through the lines. I appoint three people on Avalon Station to be in charge of the entire operation. Those three people are admiral Montrell, admiral Karelia and Major Embries. Furthermore, I appoint captain Taurik as captain of the fleet, commanding the fleet from space. If communications with Avalon Station break down, you will follow his orders first.

The Na'jigat will most likely be here within a few hours. I want all ships and crew to be prepared. Live long and prosper.

Its not, This is what you could be doing someday, See the veiw screen, See those Golden Colored ships ?, Well They may board us, Or attempt too, and thats where We will come in at, We may have to repel them, But if you pick up a phaser make sure your ready to use it, Because if your not tell me now?,

I brought you up here so you could get a first hand look of what could be possible in your future, I have dealt with this threat before, They will try to suck the energy out of the station, which will cause mass Chaos, people may get hurt in the confusion, so we have to keep the peace, Understand ?,

Heres a Question for you Mr Ardeth, If you had to move the admirality elsewhere and they ordered you to leave them alone, and you knew that there life was in danger what would you do ??

Cadet Dotson seen Wildcat after saving him for a brief second and now invisible to the naked eye or infared which seemed to be strange. As Dotson moved from cover a weird feeling came over him like nothing he felt before. Like an strange ability is trying to come out that been surpressed since childhood. I can almost make it out but ah no use. As the feeling over came him he seen another Dark Psi Warrior. Still to far away to signal to the SEC/TEC officer, so Dotson lines up his aim steady and careful and fired. Direct hit he shouted to himself two down, happy that he's doing his part but wondering if it's enough to stop this evil force thats trying to take over the station. Thinking to himself I'm going on a long vacation on the holdeck when this is over that is if I'm still alive that is, as he goes back into cover.

"I'd absolutely prefer to upgrade these things."  Rogue 1 got hit by a grenade, but kept moving, even with the com system in shambles.  It couldn't speak to us, but was fully able to send programs and receive because of an internal antenna.  "Could you 2 please watch your aim!?  You knocked out Rogue 1's communications with us!" Wildcat snapped, as Rogue 2 lobbed a grenade into a group of Warriors, then turned, and rattled onward, repairing the other 2 robots.

"I just got nicked.  Just burned off some fur.  The robots, well, I build them in the free time I get.  I could train them, and you, to respond to each other.  First thing you'd need is one of these." Wildcat said, tapping his little communications watch, "Then you would need to spend at least a day, total, with the robots.  That way, you can teach, and therefore learn what they can do.  The FR Group requires constant maintenance.  The Rogue Units are a simple enough design.  The worst is cleaning the tracks, but the CU (Control Unit) can be removed and placed in another robot body.  Though I only have 3 CU's right now, I have 8 bodies.  2 are search and rescue, 4 are battle, and the last 2 are repair work."  Ardeth laughed, knowing that the CU was such a small and rather trivial item.  About the size of a soda can, and the shape, it required lots of diagnostic checks.

Computer where is ardeth?

Computer:  Ardeth is located in the medical bay.

Turn around back to the medical bay, Set your rifles on EMP mode.  We have to short him out!.  Then get him contained.

*Balkazar to Ops*
Admirals, Cadet Ardeth is loose, Manach, dotson, and I are trying to put him out but we may have to cause more harm to the station to do it, so if you get a power surge up there, theres a chanc it was my doing.  Hes a good Cadet But I think we need to be a tad precautious with him and I ask that you let me take care of ardeth alone and without any support from anyone, I can handle this.  Balkazar out*

*balkazar to Security*.  I will be needing one of your nifty brigs here in a minute.  Set up an EMP field for the brig room.  Just in case he tries to get out. Balkazar out*

*Balkazar and the other 2 cadets enter the Medical bay*

Computer Seal this room.

Computer: Medical Bay Sealed and Locked.

"Okay Ardeth your not going anywhere.  Im sorry for doing this but for your safety and for everyone on this station I am going to put you out Temporarily, and when you wake up You will be in a Confined Area under my personal Supervision"

Cadet Dotson, Manach, Take out your grenades and set them to EMP Overload,  Set your phasers for Wide Dispersal EMP mode.  Should knock him out.  This is one leason you will have to learn, if you want to save a fellow Cadet Sometimes you have to make the Tough Choices, and this one Qualifies.

*then Balkazar and the other 2 cadets threw there EMP grenades towards ardeth, as they fired in Rapid Successions of EMP Fire from there Rifles*

Wildcat said, sitting down, working on jamming a stun grenade, with the safety on, into a rather tricky looking device.  "This device is designed, once I finish it, to pull the safety, launch the grenade up, and explode it.  The grenades have a little problem with sitting still explosions.  I send them flying, and then blow them up.  As for the next one, it'll be different.  That way, they might disable one, but the other 9 are all different."

It may be a lil bit more difficult then that because 1) your captian may be taken prisoner and it wouldnt be good in general 2) if they took over the ship they would probly have guards on engineering, 3) just go in guns blazing would get you killed before you even got near engineering,

Saying your going to retake it is like saying you want a death wish, I want a step bye step response from you and you too mr Ardeth for future refference, is that clear ?

Now if you made first contact bye unorthodox means, as in, if you were shot down while flying a shuttle, how would you go about first contact ?, Mind you are probly hurt and either in a cell or in a house being taken care of,

Once your awake how would you do first contact ?

Remember step bye step

Understand what im telling you ?, You cant play pranks on all your superiors when we are on duty, As starfleet officers, we have to know when to have fun and when to not have fun, and that prank you did a few minutes ago wasnt the best time......How about this, You wipe your face off, and then lets get back down to the prominade and try and be as serious as we can Alright ? *smiles at Ardeth*

As before, these were rigged in different ways, and now had a little dot on the back which told them what button to push.  Given 10 minutes, there were now 10 mines, 5 standard, 5 RC mines, inside the turbolift.  "Your mines, sir." The Rogue Units were damaged heavily, all ripped up and oil dripping.  Ardeth's leg was hit by several weapons, causing him to have a heavy limp.  Rogue 2 was shooting sparks everywhere.  Wires were frayed, and Ardeth's secret revealed.  He had Cybernetic arms and legs.  One of his legs, the damaged one, was leaking reddish colored oil.  Rogue 2 jolted, burning out a battery, and switching to the Generator for energy.

Rogue 2 almost looked evil in one of his little outbursts of synthesized anger.  "Sorry, lost my temper." Wildcat saw them coming, grabbed his half finished fighting robot, and turned it loose.  Probably not a bad idea, as it did as programmed, destroying some of the stunned ones, and then attacking the live ones.  The robot's firing arm threw a small, yet potentially deadly object, and took out 2 warriors.  It spun, swinging a rather weighty object the size of a bowling ball in circles, and aiming high.  The sickening crash of metal to head was terrible, but the robot, known as Rogue 2 only registered the kill.

BANG!  They impacted, but Ardeth had shielded in the last second.  It had, though, taken out his claw and magnet systems.  "Darn!  Now I can't climb walls!" Ardeth said, sliding around corners and trying to keep hidden.  Ardeth noticed that out of a standard 3 inch claw, he had an inch extended.  He also had the Rogue Units and the last hand made Stun Grenade.  He tapped a command into the Rogue Control Panel, and let them attack.  Rogue 2 shot out, motors whirring, and a deadly array of weapons.  It spun a projectile at max speed, shaking all over the floor, and released it.  It smashed through a wall, denting it.  Ardeth then checked the RCP again, and called the other Rogues to action.  Also, a Flying Robot was locked in, and Ardeth had set it to stun mode.  He also checked his shield.  It was weak, and wouldn't keep going if he got Pulsed again.  He reached back, pulled out his stun grenade, and rolled it out there.

Rogue 2 switched off the CD-Rom drive, and growled angrily, 'pacing' the room with his 3 wheeled chassis.  He looked rather like an old computer from the 1990's.  Ardeth walked over to Rogue 2, and began speaking in a calm tone, whispering in Binary Code.  Rogue 2 slowly opened the CD tray.  Ardeth grabbed the CD, and set it elsewhere.  He also took the Webcam from on top, which had one nasty laser.  "If you are calm and to be trusted, I'll give these back." He whispered in Common.  Rogue 2 whimpered, and tried to hide from Balkazar.  "Rogue 2 is frightened, Balkazar.  You threatened to kill his sisters, and that means that you just started a war with them.  I'm gonna try and broadwave a message to cease all commands and come to medical bay using Rogue 2, but I will not stand for you killing any sentient beings, mechanical or not."  Rogue 2 whirred in contentment, spinning an empty diskette drive.  He couldn't find one of those anywhere.  Ardeth had one, however, in his back pocket, and slipped it in.  There was one word written on it: Broadwave.  This would allow Rogue 2, or any other Rogue Unit, to broadwave a message to all other robots that Ardeth created within a shipwide range.  Rogue 2 whispered, "Farewell, sisters," and sent the message.  Soon after, he shut down.  Ardeth was in tears, holding Rogue 2, and trying to get him online.  He succeeded, and Rogue 2 powered back up, spitting out the diskette.  Ardeth said, "Rogue 2 wishes to stay alive, and awake.  He tried to shut down, but he kept telling me before in Binary, he wanted me to revive him.  I could only respect his wishes, but I will not stand by your side if you fire on any robots.  You do that, and I'll ally with Rogue Units 1, 2, and 3, and do whatever can be done.  But now, you should apologise to Rogue 2 for threatening to end his 2 sisters' lives for no reason." Rogue 2 was in a foul mood, and on that monitor that served as a face, he looked it also.  Ardeth kept Rogue 2 under control by flicking a second switch disabling all motors except the hard drive.  He could speak, access his own files, and listen, but no more than that.

Ardeth calmed down, baring fang-like teeth at Balkazar.  "What happened was I tried to stun the object, and used a high energy burst through my Cybernetic arms.  I had obviously been rendered unconscious, and on waking back up, I was in severe pain.  I kicked by accident, and apparently dropped a cadet by mistake.  As for any other anomalies with me, such as those fangs, I've had those for many years.  Now you know why I never smile!" Ardeth said, trying to move, but finding it nearly impossible.  "What did you do to me!" Ardeth roared, causing an echo to rattle through the corridors.  The Flying Robot hovered around Ardeth and Balkazar, unable to find them.  Ardeth tried extending his claws, moving his arms and legs, and even trying to move his head, but was unable to.  "What did you do to me?" Ardeth whispered, feeling bad, considering this was the first time he had been unable to move since that day he faced that Android a few years back.

Rogue 2 growled angrily at Rogue 1, telling his sister to stand down.  He then faced Balkazar, "I'd like to see them try.  Ardeth would be able to repair me.  He built me!" Rogue 2 said.  There was a hint of synthesized fear in that computerized voice.  To a robot, disassembly meant what Death meant to humans.  "As for Ardeth being mad at Starfleet in general, that was because a foolish cadet tried to destroy his creation.  As for the Wer'Wolf, it's design is intriguing.  It can move in any direction, with wheels.  As for me, I prefer rattling around on tracks.  I also prefer sending text messages to every person in Starfleet while Ardeth's asleep.  That way, neither one of us is suspected.  Oops!  I shouldn't have said that!" Rogue 2 rambled, "And Ardeth's angry at you for revealing his being 75% Cybernetic because He never wanted to remember why.  As for me, I think I'm gonna have a nice recharge later."

"I read the report from the Rivendell, about the Skytoucher salvage. Very sad, very sad, I was glad to read your name under the name survivor, but the losses...."

*Hedford turned back to the console and searched for certain data*

"Here, I ordered Captain Lurado, our Tac/Sec Chief to oversee the salavage onboard the Skytoucher. He made sure that all bodies were stored properly. I don't know if a ceremonie is planned here on the station, but due to all damages and work, I think they won't."

*Hedford looked at Rasmain*

"C'mon man, it's all ok. You made it out, with 17 other lucky officers. Those other officers gave their lives to protect the Federation, especially this station. Don't take it upon yoursself for their deaths." *Hedford awaited Rasmains reaction*

"If you want I can go with you to the hangar, so you can bring your last respects"

I've got 4.  One of them's a little bit of a loose cannon, though.  Destroyed half of my room on Earth.  Made me laugh, till it tore apart this one." Wildcat said, pointing to Rogue 2.  "5 straight hours putting it together.  I'll get 3."  He then revealed a little comlink on his wrist, and spoke into it clearly, "Send Rogue Units 1, 2, 3"  Soon enough, 3 robots, 2 with tracks, one with wheels, came flying around the bend, and zipped around, finding a maze of passages, targeting behind the warriors.

He stared puzzled as to why

"Admiral, you, resign? I dont believe it sir." He moved closer and continued "Sir, If I may?  I would like to request a transfer, I heard you needed an XO"

Wildcat saw a Dark Psi Warrior sneaking around the bend.  Phaser shot from Wildcat, a leap to a new position, and the Warrior went down.  "Wildcat Warrior 1, Dark Psi Warrior zip!" Wildcat whispered.  Something sneaked up behind him, but his whiskers gave a 6th sense, and he aimed behind him, holding up a shard of mirror.  Second shot, and a direct hit on the Warrior.  Leaping nimbly to Balkazar's side, Wildcat waited.

Wildcat lifted the Rogue 2 from his backpack.  Setting it down, he told it to attack only the Warriors it could handle, and nothing from Starfleet!  The Rogue zipped off, tracks launching it over debris. A long firing arm reached out, accepting a grenade eagerly.  In its robotic voice it said, "Aiming..... Fire!" and launched the grenade, turned tail, and raced to Ardeth, tracks sending it flying as it hit a Phaser left behind by someone.  It snatched it up, and as it landed, handed it to Balkazar.  "Your Weapon, Sir." the Rogue unit said, holding it handle up to Balkazar.  "It's a smart robot, isn't it?  It detected who's weapon it was instantly, and brought it to you, holding it the proper way." Wildcat said, watching the Rogue 2 carefully.  He didn't want to send a challenge to this rather smart robot.  "AI: Artificial Intelligence.  I call these the Rogue Units because I've been working on a couple.  If you wish, I'll call Rogue 1 in for you."
