* scotty opens up the casing , takes a few quick scans, begines to remove components *
" its a last ditch plan sir, it'll take 30 seconds "
*A failsafe starts up with 30 seconds left on the bomb*

*Kawolsky turns to Balkazar*
"Request permission to continue Cadet Sotty's training sir?"
*Balkazar stood there and watched the time from when he sent the bomb threat to Security and so far its been 10 seconds*
"Shave what off, theres the bomb *points over to the jurry rigged bomb on the bases main power core*, disable it before it reaches 0, you have 2 minutes. You start now!, remember you cant beam the bomb away, you have to disable it manually, if you beam it away it will explode, Start NOW!" *The bomb starts to count down*
" computer erect a level 10 supspace dampening field around the bomb "
" hold on im goin to try to put a concentrated EM pulse through its systems, it should disable it "
* he uses his tricorder to charge the pulse *

* he activates the pulse *
*Kawolsky lies on the floor unconcious. 1 minute 40 seconds remain on the bomb*
*1 minute left*
*Sweat dripped down the Lieutenant's face*
"CADET! If you don't get that charge working soon, I will have to risk transporting the bomb off the base"
"Very well."
"Computer, lock onto the explosive device in Engineering and beam it into Dantor Orbit."
*The computer beeped and the device disappeared*
"Now target the device with one of the Orbital Defense Platfroms, and destroy it"
*The computer confirmed the order. The device was destroyed*
" yes sir, i understand "
"Thank you sir."
*Kawolsky turns to Scotty*
"Lets go to my office"
*Kawolsky and Scotty are beamed into Engineering*
"14.85 seconds sir" Kawolsky said smuggly
*The security team then comes running in*
"It's OK Crewman, it was just a practice" Kawolsky said to the team leader
"Yes, sir" he replied and left engineering
*Kawolsky tuns to Scotty*
"Any ideas Cadet?"

* scotty removes some componentes, then nerviously presses a control switch, the bomb stops counting down *
*Kawolsky wakes up and is slightly disoriantated*

* scottys hands are moving frantically *

*Suddenly, an energy discharge flung Kawolsky to the ground, knocking him unconciouss*
*Still looking on as Kawolsky took a discharge hit and is now unconcious still looks on as he looks at the time*
"Your down to 90 seconds."
"damn it, im going to try one more thing, an inverse tachion charge may disable all power "
* uses tricorder, activates charge *
"Right, good thinking. How far are you in calibrating it?"

"Is it safe for transport? I would like it of the base now!"
