The Evolution fares well your Majesty........I left my ship with our ops Officer who will probly leave my engineering bay a mess when we return to the Evolution............Could we get the hearing going ?.........Since you were busy before arriving........I been listening to your council debate and bid over the parts of HK47..........and I would much appreciate to get this going as soon as possible to further any more debates that the High Council seems to enjoy.........

I rather Preserve HK47s Unique abilities rather then destroy him because of a simple malfunction that can easily be fixed......and thats what we seem to be argueing over currently.................I been taking down everything the Council has said about destroying a sentient life such as HK47s..........

Your majesty what Ambassador Pax says may be true.......I was built as defense not a ambassador droid......but I ask you not to heed what he says entirely.........I was built for a single purpose......and that was to protect you and to protect this council from outside threats for many years until I disappeared........

All I can tell you is ""Time Travelers known as fire knights......Captured me.........then they tried to access my programming and it killed many of them since I Dont think they were expecting security messures to go off......""

All I remember from the evolution is ""I was on board........Yes it is true I threatened to blow up the evolution........but there security guard seems to think I Would.............it was a malfunction was all and a slip of the tongue shall we say..............they threw me in the brig...........for some reason I experienced a dream state if thats possible while I Was recharging.............Then when we arrived back here at DA space something took hold and urged me to leave the Evolution without authorization...........this thing that was forcing me to go allowed me no movement.........it took hold of my programming and sent me to an astroid that was nearbye...............After I left from inside the astroid whatever hold that was on me left..........""

The astroid isnt a rock its really a ship that was left behind when I went on a uncontrolled killing frenzy......I could only watch as I killed those people on the revox oh so many years ago and the same thing happened on the astroid when I escaped.........

Pax says I should be dismantled or reprogramed because of what I have done..........That may be true.......but if you turn me into a diplomatic droid.......there is no chance I can protect Sanchez or any other innocent life that you send me to protect........

I have done diagnostics of myself.........and all I ask in your great wisdom is allow me to have ""Moral Subroutines"" installed and have my Maker do a maintenance check on me..........

If you decide to send me back as your ammbassador of the Delta alliance then allow spock to get my schematics so he has more knowledge of how to fix me if something else goes wrong..........

Im begging you to take mercy on me..........Even tho I have failed to do what you asked me to do.......which was to protect sanchez.......Which I seem to have failed to do...........and I whole heartedly apologize for disgracing the council in my actions..........

OOC**Once when the Kha Var Posts and such.......Lets just say that the Klingon ship picked up HK, Spock, and Aron..............and a Supply shipment to be sent to engineering aboard the Evolution ..........Lets just say that we were picked up and then started our way to whereever the Evolution is currently at .

To save some time anyways since its been almost a month and a half since I posted with both spock and HK

Mr Mentora HK47 shouldnt be just a tool to be used to upgrade your ships................I agree with Tash.........HK is a unique droid...........but to the people of the evolution I do believe hes more then just a droid.......hes a sentient being..........who should be helped instead of destroyed..............

What if you were in HK47s place........would you want to be destroyed just because of a simple malfunction ?....A malfunction that could easily be repaired or dealt with short of destroying yourself ?.........

"But let us save our judgements on the droid until the final vote. I believe the droid is perfectly fine as it is, and any problems were a product of a glitch in his behavior subroutines. I will repair them afterwards."

I agree with Tash.........You need to wait till you have all the information before decideing.............And I think HK47 is just fine the way he is............He just needs to have some new subroutines written into his programming and added.......I think HK47 as a sentient race should have the same respect then any race would have in a court room..........You should listen to the defense.

And also also think of something else besides dismanteling.........Besides we should be working to preserve a life instead of destroying it because it did something bad..........

For example.....What if? You pax what if you did something bad and you were in HK47s place.....you did something horrible............would you want to be destroyed because of such an act ?..........

No im sure you wouldnt...........Im sure you would seek help and then try and get help for yourself to try and fix what you did wrong.......I dont think it would be an enjoyable experience if you were destroyed because you did something bad right ?

But I assure you that I dont make demands.........I make suggestions that would benefit all parties concerned........

HK47 wouldnt have access to the weapons.........Only the Captian.........his XO.............and the cheif of security would have such access.............There is no way that HK47 can override the codes if you allow his weapons to be placed aboard the Evolution.................

Tash...........you wouldnt be trading the weapon systems........Yes they belong to the DA council.......but they also being to HK47...........

Starfleet........wouldnt allow the misuse technology......

Maybe Ambassador Mentora is right in a way your Majesty.........His weapon systems are the property of the Delta Alliance............Perhaps.........there is another way we could do this concerning his weapon systems.........

If such a time that HK47 learned to use his advantage wisely.........would he be allowed to have those weapon systems back ?..........

Perhaps............we should also be thinking of HK47s well being too when you decide what to do with his weapon systems..............

Since his weapon systems are a part of him..........itll be like taking a baby away from its mother.........after a time the mother and baby will slowly die..........HK47 in this instant is the mother and his weapon systems are his babies...........

I still am 100% behind allowing HK47s weapon systems to remain on the evolution Under lock and key.......so to speak

But she does bring the Dralians much welth and prosperity in her....  dealings."

*Lifting up his head, he 'looks' around the room.  Where his eyes should be are dark black holes.*

"Oh, so we are to have a trial!  Oh, how fun it will be."

*Pulls the note padd out and reads it.  He then speaks absent minded of the people around him.*

"An incident involving children??  Who is representing them??"

*Looks at the Starfleet's.*

"Is there no one else comming from your ship as witnesses for the prosicution or for the defendent?"

"Mentora, if dismantelment is the droids fate, I am willing to take the parts you would have no use for.  They would be nice items to trade, and would bring a high selling price too."

*Smacks his lips at the delights that could be aquired with such technology.*

My ambassadors speak wise words.  Our alliance with starfleet is not concrete enough nor has had time to grow to allow them access to superior technology.

I would be more inclined to have such weapons  stored in my very own palace.  HK47 has the technology I understand should the need really arise to recall his wepons.  All droids do.  Being a sentinent life form I can extract from him a pledge to recall only in dire circumstances.

However on the hand, starfleet themselves may see this as an act to withhold technology in an alliance.  Therefore my decision is final.  However I would prefer the chance to have this explained to Admiral Vorak.  Perhaps with him we can arrange a most suitable agreement that benifets our alliance.

Someone please contact the revox.  have them escort the admiral on their ship to my private chambers.  Warp speed is authorised.

*rings a small bell and leaves*

Good points mr Cloud........I dont believe you can argue against your own laws you put down when you formed this council Sirs.....and Maams....

A defense Droid should defend Delta Alliance members, not a random captain of another space organisation that we barely know still. If HK47's mission is no longer to protect this captain Sanchez, but instead to defend the interests of the Delta Alliance through diplomatic means only, then the problem has solved itself."

"I agree with Mr. Mentora. We have not yet reached a point in our alliance with Starfleet where we trade significant technology. I would think an officer of the Delta Alliance should control it, but also not without the consent of the Captain or Security officer. Therefore, should Avelsa have motives that conflict with that of the crew, hypothetically of course, she will not have unrestricted access to the weapons. But other than that, I am fine with all the terms."

*He hands the papers back in an almost casual toss.  The papers land on the table in a messy pile.*

*Hearing the reason for the summons finally, Wabvleef speaks up.*

"So that is why we are all here then.  To decide on the fate of one HK47.  Sounds like the name of a droid."

*Tuns his head as if listening to something.*

"Say, if he is to be dismanteled can I purchase his eyes.  I could really use a good pair to see with."

If droids were created The borg would have over ran this Quadrant along time ago........the Droid home worlds are the only defense you pretty much have against the borg........

And as far as weapons are concerned......I understand your a peaceful race.........so is starfleet.........we seek diplomacy over violence but sometime violence is needed to get the point threw.........If we were all peaceful like your race is content in being your race along with the whole of DA would have been killed or assimilated bye the borg along time ago.........

I have a suggestion.  My assistant is currently aboard the Evolution, serving in HK47's former capacity as ambasador.  If need be, I have no problem with Avelsa remaining ther.  Oh, perhaps we could place the droid under probation for a time?  She could keep an eye on HK47 and may have access to an override code, if the droid starts acting agressive."

*Waits for the queen's responce.*

*Mentora approaches the High Queen.*
"Your Majesty, some of these demands are unacceptable! First of all, if we remove a part of the weapons from HK47, but store them on the same ship where he resides, he will always have the ability to access them again! The weaponry are Delta Alliance technology, and therefore Delta Alliance property. They should be held safely right here at HeadQuarters, and not in the hands of Starfleet! Nor should a Starfleet captain have any access codes to it, but a Delta Alliance ambassador, such as Avelsa. Besides, if his mission statement changes and he is no longer charged with the protection of this random Starfleet captain, then there is no use for such weaponry in the first place!"

*hk47 moves to tash...........*

Does this mean I am spared from being scrapped ?..........I was not informed I could recall my weapons.......but I know now.......

"Well, let's begin."

Tash opens up a panel on HK47's back and takes a small tool. He begins to access the behavioral directory. He takes a chip from a small computer behind him, and inserts in into a slot. The chip begins to whir, and new subroutines begin to download. After a moment, he removes the chip and closes the panel.

"Now I need to remove extraneous equipment. Don't worry though, you'll be fine."

He spends a few hours tinkering and removing various accessories all over HK47.

"There. I've left you with your shield, and a droid-compatible version of a standard Alliance plasma pistol. That should be fine."

He places the rest in a box with a fractal encrypted locking device and gives it to him.

"Take this to the Evolution, and give it to the security officer there. I'm sure they'll know what to do with it. I trust you won't try to open it."

OFF: I am not here yet, but when I arrive everyone who is comming aboard my ship will need to post at that time.  Or you may very well be left behind.

*The Yzakian representative Pax enters the hall and silently observes the people. Then he discreetly walks to Tash.*

*starts to feel like a lab experiment as this strange alien species is poking around us.......and grabs papers out of spocks hand*

Mr Avelox these papers arent to be messed with nor are they membership applications..........They are legal papers that I must now sort again!.........*sorts out the papers in a neat pile again*

Im a starfleet engineer Mr Avelox.......So is my XO here.....Im chief engineer of the USS Evolution and so is Mr cloud hes my XO.............We are here to discuss an interesting happening with HK47..........

*Pax steps forward toward the High Queen and Spock.*
"Your Majesty, it is true that our laws define that we should preserve life whenever we can. All I would like to plead for, is to 'upgrade' the Droid named HK47, for his own protection as well as the protection of those around him. He should be upgraded into a diplomatic Droid, rather than a defense Droid, so that his missions will be peaceful. That way we will preserve his life, and make sure that the lives of others are preserved too."

"I think that is a good idea, both of them.  I like to say it is better to have two employees set on the same task.  It ensures that you get the better profit or in this instance highest interest."

Hmmmmmmmmm.............*nods to tash*...........Thank you...............I think thats agreeable......

If the High council wishes to remove most of his weapons then you should do so..........but I must ask that you cannot under any circumstances sell the weapon systems...............I do not believe that would be the wisest of decisions...........Because those weapon systems can be turned around............and If the Borg got ahold of them.........that would be worse of destruction..............

*speaks to HK47 for a minute before proceeding*

*turns to the council again*

HK47 has requested that if you decide to remove the majority of his weapon systems.............That you allow them to remain under lock and key on the Evolution in one of our security offices.........As a ship and Ships are known to be boarded................

HK47 wants to make sure they he can arm himself ONLY! when its most dire..........But other then that...........allow him to keep what knowledge he has........and to allow him to keep his protective shields and phaser banks.........But the rest of his sytems will be under lock and key on the evolution and only 3 people will have access to them on the ship...........Would this be agreeable with the High council ?...........

And yes There was a android bye the name of "Data" on the enterprise..........But android and a droid are 2 different things..............

Also.........With the councils permission once when this trial is over with I ask that I have access to your Data banks..........So I may better understand how to maintain a droids needs.............?

And on a side note................HK47 has his own room........Actually its a room converted into a power station for him..............I am hoping he puts it to good use..................

Also I ask that if you strip HK47 of the majority of his armor and weapons.......I ask that you add an additional and more efficient power supply............his Intelligence to modify a starfleet ship and throw it into a catapult effect seems to take a toll on his sytems and well.........he shuts down if he does 2 of them in a row.......so would it be possible for some of his NON-COMBATANT equipment be upgraded ?.........so his power flows more efficiently and he doesnt burn out..........

So Ill break it down to where everyone understands

Strip Majority of weapons
Add new non combat tech
Keep Shields
keep Phaser banks
Add new subroutines (moral and Abassadorial)

And to keep his weapon systems in locked boxes aboard the Evolution and only have access to them only when he has the permission of the Captian......
AND! to keep his humanoid transporter on him........he has his reasont to request to keep his transporter function

Also HK47 Wants to keep his Ship mode intact and his ship mode ""Weapons, engines, shields, mini transporter........And all functions he needs.....he wants to keep..........Hes rarely in ship mode but he feels safer if he could keep his ((Ship mode Function))

And that should be it...........

Also Tash........Your droid here is also the ships pilot...........I thought you would like to know what place your droid has aboard the Evolution.............

So far Sanchez has been very nice to HK47......even tho he is different and he did go on a power benge........I think hes getting over that...............

"Oh, does that mean they are here for a tour of the Delta Alliance?  Oh, I know.  They are here about a legal matter, like another alliance or to renew the agreements of the current alliance.  Oh, they do need something!"

*Taps the computer screen on a table.  Then looks up at the Starfleet's. *

"Oh, I could arrange the best rooms for you if you will be staying a while."

"Bah, and then the Borg will invade our space and assimilate us all! That's why the Traquel originally built these Droids after all, wasn't it? They were originally designed to battle the Borg! And now that the Borg has been quiet and learned their lesson, we could use this technology to fight the Torran rebels and defeat them at last! All we have to do, is take out the intelligence subroutines out of HK47, so he won't turn against us."

*Mentora grumbles.*

I think most of the Ambassadors here are correct......all except for the greedy one who only wants profit..........and I think that Sanchez wouldnt mind having avelsa stay on ship to look after HK47.........But I cant allow a code to over see HK47s well being........Thats like putting HK47 into slavery........he'll keep looking over his shoulder and watching Avelsa.........I cant condone this action...........But I may have another suggestion you could consider.........

You may leave HK47 as he is just have Tash add new subroutines.........like Moral subroutines..........if you take away his defense Capabilities then what will happen if sanchez gets fired upon on a mission ?..........HK47 wouldnt beable to protect Sanchez if he got captured............I cant condone you rewritting his entire subroutine just to make sure one lil malfunction doesnt happen again..........

If you do that youll be destroying the very purpose and in a way HK47s soul..........if you do that.............I ask that you allow him to have new subroutines added and let him stay as he is aboard the evolution...............

Your majesty.........Your main purpose for sending HK47 to help with Dantor then have him stationed on the Evolution was to protect Captian Sanchez..........If you go and do what pax suggests your just killing him again..........

Believe it or not HK47 has friends aboard the evolution and on many occassions he has saved the ship from destruction from the Nigjat..........If you take away his very soul for protecting the ship and its captian then you take away a living being..........and we are here to preserve that........

Add moral subroutines and also add Diplomatic and ambassadorial subroutines but leave his defense programming intact.........and leave his knowledge of what he knows about starfleet intact as well........Dont take away his very being..............youll be killing a life instead of trying to save it.............I Implore you your majesty..........Allow me and Tash to take care of this problem..........let us fix him without destroying his very nature to protect life...........

I think his armaments should be limited, but not removed altogether. Imagine if he had malfunctioned worse than he did? He could have killed the entire crew, however, I am certain it would have been by no wish of his own."

With all due respect Mr Spock, "with great power comes great responsibility".

Your starfleet records show another android by the name of data achieved sentinet status, without such deffensive capabilities.

The ambassadors are right all of them. , While I could not condone a an override code I could condone removing his  defensive capatbilies.

To better our understanding of outside speciies, I think that perhaps hk47 is exposed to the records of this "data".  perhaps in time he could learn to be like him.  if I have read it correctly, Data had no special abilities and was welcomed among the crew.  eventually having captincy of hte ship for a short duration with captain picard.

If sanchez is in agreement I would keep them both as ambassadors each working on different tasks.  perhaps hk47 could train with the Security Officers, Security teams.

Just a suggestion, but as always, I make no decisions on my own without the majority vote of my trusted council.

*As spock and the others were walking threw the gardens Spock suddenly gets a feeling washing over him.......*

I dont need someone to watch every move I make.........Because it may come a time that I will have to do what the DA council goes against to protect the person im protecting...........and I wont beable to do that if I know someone has override codes of my programming..........But at the same time as a Life form such as myself if bye chance I think im being treated unfairly I will defend myself..........But I have no cause to do that.........

and If you go on with the idea of avelsa having a override code for me..........youll be slavers.......and not a council to preserve life............I have a right to freedom...........What I do.....I have reasons for weather there good or bad I have my reasons...........But at the same time I learn from my mistakes..............
