A tall, thin droid enters the chamber and sits at it's appointed seat, and takes a few mere milliseconds to read the datapad in front of it.

"Recitation: 'Violating warp speed limits in Delta Alliance space...'? Does Starfleet not know of Alliance laws?"

That is just teribbaly wrong!  we should all just sit down and have a nice drink.  Then we can talk about them dismantalling their warp drive when they enter DA space.

As you can see minister, we are presently discussing reports from various sensors. We are attempitng to contact tash and avelsa are currently onboard the vessel.

"I agree that we should take precautions when it comes to Starfleet ships entering our space, but they should under no circumstances be allowed to have any kind of weapons on board, and we should not resolve this situation with any kind of violence!"

[Tash]

"Have any of you even stopped to realize that without Starfleet we wouldn't even have the catapults? I'm sure I don't have to remind you of Captain Janeway and the U.S.S. Voyager? If it weren't for her, I would still be many light years away, and the Alliance would still rely on warp drive!"

[Wabvleef]

*Wabvleef pounds the table with a fist.*

I say we take their weapons and warp technology away from them and sell them the catapult technology!  Even if we need to go to war to do so!

[Tash]

"Mentora! You would have us go to war with Starfleet if it was in your ability! I refuse to go along with this! If the Alliance takes action against Starfleet, the Traquel will withdraw before complying!"

[CR-D74]

"Statement: The primary goal of the Delta Alliance has always been to maintain peace. If the council should declare war on Starfleet, this would violate the founding intention of the Alliance."

hmm, that is indeed interesting news.

I seem to have been mistaken about the captain and his superior officer.  Why is tash allowing this I wonder?.  When the council is all here we will contact both him and avelsa. on a secure channel and have them explain whats going on.

Perhaps, perhaps not, peaceful negoiations is always our aim.

"This is high treason! There is no other possibility, but that this... Starfleet is plotting against the Delta Alliance! I vote we eliminate them before they become too serious a threat! Their ship MUST be captured, and their weapons can be given in our care! We can then study their cloaking device... maybe the Traquel can do that, and use it as a weapon to counter them with!
