Sarpedon tapped the controls on his panel, and the USS Rivendell dropped out of warp, slowing to a stop in space.

This doesn't feel right... he thought to himself, so he made sure to keep all drives - Jump, Warp and Impulse Drives, along with the manoeuvring thrusters - fully powered, ready to snap into action at any moment.

"All stop confirmed, Captain."

"Aye. Two-six-seven by zero-one-four, confirmed, Sir." Sarpedon said, as the ship banked slightly to align on it's new heading, though due to the inertial dampeners, the crew didn't feel a thing.

"Initiating Jump." Sarpedon said, after the drive had had it's required one minute warm up cycle. Initiating the command on his console, the new programming started to work. Within seconds, a fully formed wormhole had formed infront of the ship, and the Rivendell glided through.

Sarpedon had been trying to fight the Borg's tractor beam since they had managed to catch the ship, despite his best efforts at evasive manoeuvres. He was fighting with the ship now, trying to keep the impulse engines at maximum against the pull of the tractor beam, but the systems were starting to fry from the exertion. His efforts though, were at best a delaying tactic, as they would slowly and inevitably be pulled towards the Borg vessel.

"What course shall I set, Captain?" Sarpedon asked, helm now fulled powered up and ready for use. As he said it, he powered up the impulse drives and manoeuvred the ship out of the dock.

Givrillian stepped onto the Bridge, and reported straight to Taurik before taking his seat at helm.

"Aye. Attack pattern Delta engaged." Sarpedon reported. Luckily, it was one of the attack patterns he actually remembered from the Academy. Making a mental note to revise some of the tactical elements of basic training when this was over with, Sarpedon sent a text-only message to Orpheus:

Sarpedon tapped the controls on his LCARS display and slid his fingers up a pad up to the '7' mark, and the ship sped forward.

"Warp Seven engaged, Captain."

"Aye." Was all Sarpedon said. He hadn't been trained on Tactical, so was more than pleased to be back on Helm after diverting enough power to shields as he moved the ship to a safer distance, though in his opinion, the Borg seemed to have fired on them regardless of whether or not he had fired.

Since the ship was staying put for now, Sarpedon logged onto the Tactical console, raising shields to full and firing a few phasers at the Borg, while preparing to lower them for transport. When he saw a slight break in the Borg's attacks on the Rivendell, he lowered them. "Shields lowered!" He shouted, watching as the notification came up on-screen informing him of Beta's departure. "Beta is away! Raising shields!"

Before he managed to do so, however one of the borg's attacks hit home on the Port-Bow section of the saucer section of the ship, and all aboard felt the impact, as they were thrown to the ground. Sarpedon's hands found their way to the controls again, and shields were back up.

"Shields are back up." he said, as he climbed back to his feet. "Hull breaches on Decks 3, 4 and 5. Emergency force-fields are engaged."

"Aye." Sarpedon replied, as he worked the ships drives to manoeuvre them into position. As the ship came to a stop, the docking clamps gripped the ship in an iron fist, and the ship was, in relation to the station, absolutely still. Sarpedon made sure all the drives were shut down, and altered the ship's condition status. The various indicators throughout the ship changed colour, and displayed "Condition Blue" - the ship was now in stand-by mode.

Sarpedon looked at the data scrolling across his screen.
"Captain, it seems someone's modified the warp core somewhat. I can't tell what or how yet, though." he reported.
