First Officers log- Supplemental
Stardate - 57129.2

The Hazard Team was a hard decision. How do you assign someone to one of the most dangerous postings in Starfleet? I have decided to leave the postings voluntary, however I have chosen good officers that will get the job done. Due to the amount of talent showed on the Kazon base I have made two teams a  primary one and a secondary one . The latter of the two is primarily for extraction and rescue of the primary team should they get in over their heads. While the mission to the base was successful and we achieved our goal of discovering the true intention for the base we lost a crewman. While he was only an ensign he had a stellar future ahead of him. But in hindsight that blast could have easily taken out Jamsen, or Harrison. Both are senior staff members and our Chiefs of engineering and security. While they are very adapt in combat , as first officer I have a responsibility to the Endurance to protect her and my best chance at that lies with the two of them. I myself enjoy the away missions but there are some missions that a ships commander should sit out. But in that same respect I will not leave a crewman behind dead or alive, that is why I am leading the second team along with Jamsen and Harrison. The three of us work extremely well together and can be rather formidable when provoked. We are currently enroute to DS18 for supplies , we intend to attack the base and hope that the Hazard Team can infiltrate and disable it. DS18 has sent Lt.Commander Burns to help train the teams. I am sure his help will prove beneficial.

Doug O'Neal
Commander
Exceutive officer
Gender: Male
Species: Terran
Age 26
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 250bs
Eyes: blue
Hair: Brown (short)

History: Born on Earth. O'Neal comes from a long line of Starfleet engineers. Attended Starfleet Academy and finished in top of graduating class. From there he served as an Engineer on the USS Lynx for 3 years rising to the Rank of Lt. Commander. He then accepted a Position as Chief Engineer on board the USS United. This position was a pivotal one in his career. The United is a Prometheus class vessel and his experience there led the Captain to offer him a position in command as the Ships Executive officer. He became the first member of his family to leave engineering and go into the command division. He accepted the position well and has exceptional leadership skills. These skills allowed him to receive his promotion to Commander as well as his transfer to the USS Endurance.

Disposition: O'Neal is driven by a sense of duty to excel in his position. He can be easy to get along with but is not one to let personal feelings get in his way when on duty. He is very dedicated to the fleet and it shows in his work ethic. He is well versed and has studied many alien languages. He feels that in his position as Captain he must be able to read a person by their mannerisms, he is a good judge of character. Doug is an excellent diplomat but is as comfortable discussing a matter diplomatically as he is with starship combat. His tactical skills match his verbal ones. He is an explorer on the surface but a warrior at heart. Once he decides to fight there is no turning back. He is loyal to all that have earned his trust and respect. And as an Executive Officer he is fair and just. To him the fleet isn't just a career it is his life.

Skills: Doug has mastered the Judo Displine of human martial arts and has also mastered the basic Klingon weapon the Bat'leth .He was a former hazard team leader and is excellent with any weapon put in his hands, regardless of if it's a phaser rifle or a Bat'leth. Being a former Engineer he is well versed on the workings of a starship and in a clinch can fix most anything.

Epsilon Division / USS Odyessy Status Reports
June 27, 2004, 02:40:47 AM
Mission: Mission 1 Shakedown Cruise
Status: Completed

New Species: Yazakain
New Stations/Ships: Yazakian scout ships

New Space Anomalies: none

New Crew Members: Whole crew was practically new except for a few members who returned or were transfered over from the Endurance when ships split.

Insuffient Crew Members: None at this time.

Resigned Crew Members: N/A

Re-Assigned Crew Members: All crew have been reassigned to the Uss Endurance Division Flagship.

Crew Disfunctions (Violence, Arguments, etc.):
Ships crew relationship is exceptional everyone gets along perfectly.

Outstanding crew members: Seven, Mr. Scott

Other Comments: For the amout of member loss we had to overcome I am thrilled with the work of the new crew. While I think the spilt did more harm than good I am glad to see we are getting back on track. While this crew is fairly new they are catching on rather quickly.

Promotions: While I am proud of the current crew their time on the oddyessy has not deemed me to grant any promotions. I feel the next mission on the Endurance may prompt me to promote a few officers.

"USS Odessy. Your shakedown assignment is to travel to the Van'Gu Cluster. Be on the watch, it is a low explored area of space, but I think it'll give you something to try out the ships new crew with. Harden Out."
