*an ensign enters and finds admiral bailey and hands him a PADD with a message on it, after reading it he raises his hand and speaks*

"I'm afraid i must be leaving, it seems an incident has occurd and i am needed elsewhere..."

*nods good bye to the others and leaves*

"Fine...Firefox, won't be able to help as much, since it is specifically a fighter division, and the carriers are on high alert, as is my flag ship the Switchback."

*clears throat and motions his hand*

"How about a seat at the bar and some drinks"

*Walks to bar*

"Sasparilla please."

*bartender hands it to him and he takes a sip*

"I've been fighting a cold...as i ws saying, Shadow Fleet is also on high alert, our whole area is, damn borg keep attacking... mind you we have no problem holding out, I can send the Nosferatu. With its cargo bay, it could help with supplies..."

"On the contrary mr. fisher, my ego is intact....it is my years of service to starflet that is in need of repair,or for that mater the need of time apart, and i feel star fleet's allowance of such regulation is contradictory to its original intentions...it was created to explore,defend, and grow...why, other than to grow and meet changes, would some a division seek bigger and better ships, that mr. fisher, is my goal,not to be the...."*pauses, searching for right word*"big dog on the block, i have spent more time dealing with engineering and science than you have been alive, it frustrates me to such favoritism, oh and no, i wasn't aware of such thing about the excaliber"
*paused, thought*
"i am merely a man of thought, exploration...my life is coming to an end...and i will be retiring in a few years...i have dealt with to many arrogant pricks,pardon my language, in star fleet...i was lucky, with how opinionated i am, to have made the rank of admiral..."
*Turns to mr. hobson*

Madison looked at Starwind

"Ah, i am pleased you could be here captain i know you are busy with the Venture. The ship will be given good weapons but its not a battleship. Only enough to defend itself from what it may face out alone. It will have more armour than weapons. Several different layers of differernt sheilds. This is something Admiral Fisher brilliantly discovered was possible since the Constitution class. Simply double the number of generators and produce several layers. Its is mostly a science ship for exploration. It will gather data and explore space farther than normal starships could go on supply stocks."

"That would be delightful. Perhaps we can also have a memorial ceramony for the ship and the former crew."

*As Marcus speaks he recongnizes the sound of the voice. He turns around and grins as he sees the face of his former cheif engineer of the Uss Aztec. He approachs and extends his hand*

"Marcus Brodie, it has been too long since we last saw or even spoken to one another. I am glad to see you are still around. Congratulations on receiving command of such a fine ship."

"It might take long yet, but all for the detail...and on the topic of the Excalibur, I can only hope they are safe on thier current assignment in the Van'Gu Cluster. We of course have no way of learning untill they leave it, and the USS Unity with them. I will look forward to Captain Moriartys report on thier findings at Neyo Prime..if there is indeed life on that planet, we would have much to research".

"The borg seem to be the cause of several troubles these days, more than they had been. Suppies are not the need this far into the ships construction. The interior is what is to be worked with, it's hull it as much as complete. It is a hollow shell with empty decks in it at this point. We have invited several Admirals here to see if they would like thier Engineering, Medical, Science, any department at all, would like to contribute to thier department on the Interceptor. Each officers name would be included on the ships plaque, as well as thier base station. It is as we did with the Excalibur. Have different minds and experts be part of the project to make the ship genuine".

[Charles Tucker]

Charles Tucker, already sitting atthe bar gets up after listening to the conversation. He walks over to the Admirals and looks a Bailey then to Hobson. A phaser on his belt.

"Is this fellow giving you trouble? I could take care of him if so"

[Dean Starwind]

*Within the crowd of Admirals Starwind raises his hand and speaks loudly.*

"Admiral, I was wondering about the ships defencive  cabilities. Is it possible that this ship has the power to equally and even best the Highly advanced Weapons and Sheilding systems?"

[Marcus Brodie]

Marcus smiles and shakes Starwinds hand.

"An honor it is. I see your doing very well. I commanded the Venture for a short time you know, take care of her, shes a fine ship. I'm glad to be getting something new though. Its been a while. Hard to think of the old days when the Aztec was still around. We have some catching up to do Captain."

"Yes..those were the good days. But all good things...as we all know to well. The new officers coming in to take the place of the old. Now we have the era of the Aztec's officers all in command of the fleet's ships...to think it will be the Excalibur, and the Interceptor's officers who pave the way in command of these fine ships in the future..." He smiled.

[TomNasmith]

*Stands*
"I am looking forward to getting on the Venture. Its a bit bigger than the Lothlorien, but The Lothlorien had some fine engines I will tell you. I have some fond memories on that old ship. But to think I am now a First Officer! One day I am an Engineer and the next things are different, odd how things turn out"

"Hmmm, Well, once i return i will make sure to announce it, i've been meaning to talk with some one on the high command about the borg...it seems they have found a way to...*searches for right word*..."mass produce" their ships....in a week alone we destry over 134, the very next week, that number doubled.....i have sent person i know in to recon why...but....i am afraid he has been assimilted..."
