The actual name "Expansion Fleet" was actually not born until October 30, 2002. Before then, our RPG was known as "Star Trek: Expansion", and thus advertised with that name. Until that time, the website and board were located on free webspace, but the growing popularity demanded a better service than a free webspace provider could offer, but when the webspace of the website went down, we had no choice but to take the final step and open a paid webspace account. On October 30, 2002, Star Trek: Expansion was renamed to Expansion Fleet, and was reopened officially with the domain name "EXPANSIONFLEET.COM", which has ever been in use since that day up to today. The storyline however, was not interrupted by this short downtime prior to the opening of the new domain and website, as the boards themselves had not suffered any losses.
