Bryan swings down over his head, putting a meager amount of force into the attack.

Bryan sits up and looks into Kelli's eyes. He flicks away a small tear forming in her eye.

"Because I'm human. And... because I love you."

He puts his hand lightly on her cheek, and kisses her.

Kelli and Doctor Hannah walk into Holosuite 4.

"Computer, interface with U.S.S. Evolution. Activate accompanied calisthenics program Lauren-Omega-2."

A pair of bat'leths appear in each of their hands, and Kelli raises hers.

"I take no prisoners."

She swings.

Kelli effortly blocks the blow, and quickly hits him in the chest with the foreblade. To his luck, the bat'leth was blunt, and he was knocket to the floor. Kelli seizes this opportunity, and pins him to the deck by the throat lightly.

"You may not be good, but I know you're better than that. You're holding back."

Kelli places her hand on Bryan's, and returns the kiss. Another tear runs down her face, and Bryan wipes it away again.

"You... you what?"

Bryan holds Kelli close to him, and rests her head on his shoulder.

"I know. Don't worry, I'm here. I won't let it happen again."

He kisses her again, and leads her out of the holosuite.

Bryan brings up his blade, and is nearly knocked from his feet by the force of the strike. He swings his blade laterally, his amateur skill readily apparant.

"You're pretty good at this, Kelli."

"Because I don't like this. I know you would beat me, but I can't even try to hurt you. I care for you too much."

She looks into his eyes a moment longer, and begins to cry.

"I've missed you so much."

She holds her bat'leth vertically, parrying the weak blow and repelling the opposing blade.

Kelli sets her blade aside, and stares at Bryan with a look of desperation in her eye.

"Why do you have to do this? Why can't you just let it go?"

"I love you, Kelli. I never stopped loving you. I couldn't bear to keep thinking about you during the war, but this past year on the Evolution, I've been working up the courage to try it again."
