...'My great ancestors fought to break free of their Vulcan heritage to become what I am today. I could not and will not dishonour them in trying to become the very thing they were against.'
*looks over to his superiors and shakes his head*
No matter how much it hurts to say this, I will not jeopardise the mission even though I relish opportunity to meet and mock them. *grins evilly*
If there's no objection from the either of you, I shall restrain myself to my quarters when and while the Cardassians arrive.
Shoot first - ask questions later was the way Maguid was taught back on Romulas, especially when it came to dealing with the deceitful Cardassians.
However, he decided not to interfere for the moment and wondered where this route would lead him.
Eight in all made up the group of Titans, and one by one they fell, in what was to be known in children's stories, as the betrayal by their own kind.
Maguid Velotian doesn't remember much of what happened on that dark night, but now a new emotion fuels within his veins, rivalling that of his hate for non-Romulans was ironically his hate for his own kind...The Romulan Star Empire!
He survived that tragic day, thought dead and discarded in the fields of deceit, he now tries to keep his composure while peering out of a Jeffery's Tube. He had not eaten in weeks, par the few rations he had brought with him, now fully digested. His current goal was firstly to find something to eat in his unfamiliar surroundings, before he collapses from a lack of nutrition.
As he makes his way to a map of the ship, which lies directly in front him, which is the norm in many federation ships, he views his reflection in the glass;
He bore the marks of war, which he wore proudly across his face and arms. His body was muscular, yet finely tuned, and his complexion was dark, uncommon to Rumulans. He wore a tight star-fleet uniform, quite obviously not meant for his physic and torn in places, especially around the shoulders...
A sudden evil grin emerges from his ever-emotionless face as he views the galley in the reflection behind him...

An hour had passed with no sight of another being, and Maguid now began to wonder if there was any living being on the ship. Immediately he began to make his way to the bridge all the time thinking of what could have happened to the crew of the USS Phoenix. Surely they wouldn't leave such a star ship in space un-commanded, then again....
The lights and systems were all active, perhaps they were boarded and lost the battle...but there seemed to be no such evidence of a battle being waged on the ship, and he would have heard the screams of conflict from inside his concealment. He found the sickbay, which was on his way to the bridge, and decided to go in and have a look if there were any wounded or dead crewmembers in there. Not surprisingly now, there was no one there, and all the equipment seemed to have been untouched. He began familiarizing himself with the federation's tools in sickbay.
An experienced fighter such as Maguid, had to be a competent healer of disease and injury's as well and quickly he became familiar with the tools, before moving onward towards the bridge, again not finding any-one there.
Clearly there were crew members to begin with, as Maguid himself had seen them...but where they had ventured to without the ship, he does not know. Being concealed in a Jeffrey's Tube for weeks had weakened Maguid, and a decent rest was in due.
Logic implied that the crew were still alive, on an away mission, and must be returning shortly...so he made his way to the Captains chair in the bridge and sat on it, feeling a sudden surge of power rush through his veins.
He looked up looking in detail around the ship, whilst an evil grin emerged from his face.
He lifts his body of the wall and begins to walk towards Mr. Svenson, giving the empty seat a quick glance, whilst rubbing his back and smiling reassuringly.
Mr. Checkov recommended I'd take this seat, sir *points at the empty seat beside the captains*, so if you have no objections, I trust I'd make a good ships councillor.
Maguid's patience had been extrodanary usually, but this was an axception...being on this ship with no-one around was killing Maguid slowly, but he kept his head held high throughout all of this, he would not sumbit to bordom, and this enemy was certainly not going to be the only thing that got the better of Maguid Velitian.
Who in Romulas are you!
*Knowing this was not the captain Maguid had seen when he had first come onto the ship, he ready's himself in a defensive stance, whilst giving Svensson a fixed emotionless glare*
*looks back at the view screen in shame*
Let it be known now that we of the Romulan Star Empire do not condone, promote or organise such attacks on the Federation. What had just occurred was what we feared...Experienced Romulan Captains, with the strength of Warbird class Vessels are usually a winning scenario...and as such I show my respect to the Federation crew out there on how they dealt with their threat.
*changes his tone slightly, as if speaking reluctantly*
I only ask that I am present in the interrogation of the Romulan crew you have captured. I have a few questions, straight from Romulan Intelligence that require answering.
Once I've had a brief hour with them, you can do of them as you wish....they are your prisoners.
*Turns back to face Svensson*
Meanwhile there is the prospect of a larger threat out there and the true reason to why I am here...what kind of ship can take out a Warbird single-handedly in a matter of minutes...?
*eagerly awaits news from the USS Evolution on who this ally/foe is*
......
*Begins to walk toward Mason* It is not just the Captain that wants answers....I desire it too. *Raises his hand towards Mason, awaiting a hand-shake*
Allow me to introduce myself while we await the arrival of your commanding officers... I am Mr. Velotian, and have recently been assigned onto this ship. The rest shall be explained when the captain arrives.... *Maguid glances at the chair on the left of the Captain's* ....meanwhile, I trust you won't mind if I take a seat.
*He looks in confusion at the erratic movements of the crew on the bridge...everyone appears to be panicking, unaware that he has just walked in. He walks away from the lift and beside secluded area of the bridge onto which there is a reflective panel behind him;
His clothes were not that of Starfleet, as he refused to wear the colours of all that do not bear his heritage. He is Romulan by birth, but had lived much of his life on a Federation starbase, under the gentle guidance of Starfleet, and the harsh upbringing of his father, from whom he had learnt much of his morals. His hair short and finely cut revealed his long Romulan ears for all to see. His body was muscular, yet finely tuned, and his complexion was dark, uncommon to Rumulans. His blue and black uniform, similar to that of Starfleets covered his whole body, straightening his posture*
*As a crew member shouts in frustration, he realises something of danger/importance is occurring, and decides not to intervene and get in the way of the crew. Instead he casually leans on the wall behind him, and views the actions of the crew, trying to determine their current problem and also judging each individual on their training/how they're countering the problem. -- A lieutenant by the name of Mason attracts his eye.......*
*Raises an eye-brow before retracting his hand. Maguid walks over to the centre of the ship and directs his glance directly at Svensson*
I take it you are wondering why I am here, and for that matter who I am...I came aboard this ship 3 months ago to the day, when you last docked at Starbase 6.
My name is Maguid Velotian, and are here by orders from the Romulan Star Empire. Through my training with Starfleet and Romulan Intelligence, I have been chosen as the most suitable candidate to serve aboard your ship to act as eyes for Romulan Intelligence on this unknown threat.
*Turns to face the monitor, viewing the Romulan debris, with his head held low*
Indeed...The ship you see before you is a Romulan Warbird, our most prized attack vessel and yet, it with so many others around this sector have been reduced to rubble. *looks back toward Svensson, Checkov and the rest of the crew* We know little about this threat, other than it has to be stopped!
*Fixes a glare at Svenson and Checkov, awaiting a response*
