Seconds later his console begins to beep really loudly.

Montrell... come here take a look at this, tell me what you think that looks like.

to me it looks like a huge comet on impact course.

*turns to the main console.. Go to yellow alert.. arm phasers and torpedos and will inform the boarding party as they might have some useful suggestions.

IN the mean time.. someone inform science to see wha they come up with after all we are paying them :Þ

"Hummmmm." *Dalen was seriously doubting that the armament of the Station Avalon could suffice to destroy this bloody Comet. He was a bit anxious. As far he had understood from the events, these StarFleet Officers did not realise the danger of a Vulcano Comet.*
"MISTERS!" *he shouted to attract attention* "You don't even have an idea of the peril you could face if your tried to capture this UNSTABLE Comet. This would explode at any moment.
Well, I don't know what are transphasic torpedoes, but for one thing I am sure of is that the Whallalah has sufficient armament to help you to destroy this Comet.
My idea is that you send as many salvos of quantum torpedoes as you can in a row to the Comet and let the Whallalah finish destroying it with her weapons."

"Hummmmm, Admiral, with your permission, whatever you want to do, we, and I mean me and my Corp Members, are returning to the Whallalah and prepare our Warheads launchers.
Mr de Heer, join your Ship, now and prepare to engage the Comet if it wants to explode.
Tammy, Mr Hirohito, follow me! Hurry up! I don't know when this *$ùfu*$$*ing Comet will explode."

Mr. Knight, initiate a system analyses on the shields, and run every possible diagnostics to the smallest level if necessary, to find what may have caused the disturbance in the shields.  If necessary, get a team to work on it, as long as Ops remains manned to focus on the Comet problem.

*At some hundreds light-years of Avalon Station, a sort of yellow-orange sparkle could be seen. This sparkle was rapidely moving. And, while it was moving, its structure and form were slowly appearing.
This sparkle was in fact a big celestial object. This object was certainly burning inside. Like if fire was light in its rock-metal shape.
This sparkle grew, as it was moving. And, at one moment, this sparkle became the object it really was : a dangerous boiling rock/metal comet of about one kilometer of diameter moving at an incredible speed...
Right in direction of Avalon Base.*

*To Admiral Vorak and the other StarFleet Officers.* I hope you will not formalize of the presence of my CIB Major, Mr Geert de Heer. He is very concerned by my security and the global security of our Delta Headquarters. May you welcome him on the Base..."

Admiral Vorak to science department, please take as many sensor readings of this unusual comet as possible.

Admiral Vorak to tactical department, does the station have sufficient firepower to destroy the comet if all other plans fail?

*turns to Nocturnus and Montrell*
There may be a way not to destroy this comet.  A tractor beam.  Of course, a tractor beam of the station will only pull the comet closer instead of further away into another course.  However, the USS Skytoucher and USS Lancelot are currently in orbit around the station, and they both have tractor beam available.  Given the correctly calculated location, and the correct tractor beam strength, both ships could alter the course of the comet so it will not collide with the station, whereafter we can conduct scientific research on the comet, which will be useful for in case we meet another such comet again in the future.

"Can you rephrase that, Mr de Heer... Sometimes, your Basic is a mess to understand. If you were suggesting that your Ship could lock this Comet, it was a good idea.
If I understand well *looks at the datas over the shoulders of Montrell*, ah yes it is one again, it's a vulcanoid comet. We had already that when we installed KeyHole. Mr Montrell, if you have Quantum Torpedoes, it would be wise to send some on this Comet ... or I do not respond of the destruction of your Base. You want Mr de Heer to help you?"
*Dalen winks to Geert and whispers.* "Maybe time to show them what a Corp Warrior can do. The Salute is over there?"

Why destroy something before we get a chance.  If we fire enough firepowre at it.. not to destroy but nudge it slightly.  I'm sure your familer with the old pinball games where you could tilt?

Tilt it of course. while it passes by we have the best chance to study it.  And yes we have sufficient stock to launch the attack you plan sir.
