Expansion Fleet - Avalon Archive

*Before sending a distress call to the near by ship, Avelesa was monitoring strange activity in a section of the asteroid field.  When her sensors picked up what appeared to be a ship coming out of no where.  Avelsa, following her orders to gather any new information quickly devises a plan, to get the ships attention.  She scanned the area for any other ships, none are detected.  Avelsa leaves her chair and goes to the back of the ship.  Picking up a multifunctional tool, she sabotages the warp core, and propulsion systems.  Even though Avelsa knows that she risks killing herself and destroying the one-person ship.  Satisfied with the deception, she sends a distress call on all channels.  Just when Avelsa thinks her attempt failed, the ship hails her.*

"Starfleet vessel U.S.S. Phoenix, this is Avelsa, Delta Alliance Nigillian Representative Assistant.  Thank you for answering my distress call.  Not long ago I was under attack by a pirate ship.  They came aboard and stole my cargo, after severely damaging my ship.  Then before they left they shamelessly fired upon me, disabling my propulsion systems.  Your readings are correct, I was in the midst of making repairs.  I am unable to shut down the warp core!"

*Although Avelsa planed this, she could not help but to get a little panicked.*

"Is there anything you can do to save both me and my ship?  The ship is actually a loan from my superior, who would be angered by the loss of such a vessel."

*Voya holds her hand upright, giving the woman the Vulcan salute.*(What is that split finger sign called, anyways?)

"Greetings, Stranger. Welcome aboard the Phoenix. Now, not to create any hostilities between us, but I generally do not trust those whom I am not familiar with, especially on the vessel I am responsible for. You will be escorted everywhere on this ship by my chief of security. Have you been aquainted with Mr. Huw? He is a commendable man."

*She turns to Huw.*

"Ensign, please escort Ms. Avelsa to her quarters."

*She turns to leave, but then stops.*

"If you do find yourself in need of anything besides what the room offers, please contact me personally. I'll have a repair team shift their attention to your vessel immediately."

*She exits to the bridge in the turbolift*

*Svensson turns around, noticing Huw and Avelsa step onto the bridge.*
"Ms. Avelsa, is there something I can help you with?"

OFF: yup, you're a senior officer now. Like Harry Kim on Voyager

Sarnae looks around quickly and quietly ducks down behind a unmanned console, motioning for Vorlok to follow suit.

She was hoping to get away uncatched this time.

"Very good, major Embries, I'm counting on you for that."
*Then he turns to Voya and follows her into her ready room. The doors close behind them.*
"Is there something you wanted to discuss?"

=^= Greetings, sir. I do not believe we have met before, but welcome to Vontak Nor nevertheless. You are clear to dock at upper pylon 3. You say you are here for an investigation? That is fast, the incident on the Evolution only accured a matter of minutes ago. =^=

*sigh* Thats the trouble with Starfleet...always ready to pronounce you dead. No, as you can see, I am still alive. But, I must speak with Svensson, so if you'll excuse me....

*He reaches down and presses a button attached to a device on his belt at which point he promptly disappears.*

OFF: There's a problem. Voya has informed me that due to time restraints, she will not be able to post until next summer. So that means we've got no captain for the ship at the moment. Any ideas on how we solve this problem?

off: here is an idea. i can temporarily reactivate Special Agent Casden to take command of the ship with Picard as XO. he can give the promotion to Huw, and later turn command over to Picard. how about that?

*Svensson appears on the bridge of the U.S.S. Phoenix. Engineers were at work all over the place. He looks around, hoping to find some familiar faces.*
"Is anyone here currently in command of the ship?"

*Svensson watches the ship jump to warp, as on the viewscreen the stars flash by. He saw how Voya was taking command of the ship, and the bridge crew doing its job as always. It struck him that he was aching for the command seat himself... he had been stuck in a desk for several months now, and sometimes he missed the adventures out in space. But there was nothing he could do now, he had put Voya in command.*
"Very well, Ms. Voya. I will take a station on the bridge here too, filling out for the lack of crewmembers for the moment."
*He goes to the ops station, and activates the panel. Suddenly, the panel makes a beeping sound.*
"I'm getting a distress call. But we can't afford to delay our mission now, we must go to Avalon Station as soon as possible."
*He taps a few buttons.*
"Hmm... it appears that there are no other ships in the sector, to receive the distress call. And it comes from an unknown ship. Let me trace the source of the distress call."
*He taps a few more buttons.*
"It is only a slight detour from our current course, I suppose we could help out."
*He looks up at Voya.*
"If that's fine with you, Ms. Voya."
Voya: "It's your mission, director."
*Svensson smiles and plots a course toward the ship in distress. Not much later, the ship comes out of warp near an alien vessel of unknown configuration.*
"I'm opening hailing frequencies...."
*He pushes another button.*
"This is the Starfleet vessel U.S.S. Phoenix. We are responding to your distress call. I am detecting a warp core overload, if you don't restart your warp core, it will breach and your ship will explode."

*Avelsa tries to imitate the hand gesture made by Ms. Voya, and fails.*

"May the Great Light and the Great Creator grant you and your people everlasting harmony.  I thank you for your assistance, and will abide by your 'laws' for the duration of my stay on your vessel."

*She notices that they are armed.*

"I have no harmful intentions, only those of diplomacy and peace.  Oh, and there is no rush to have my vessel repaired.  It just so happens that I too am travelling to Avalon Station, to strengthen our people's relations.  I would be grateful if you could escort me the rest of the way.  My people would also be grateful to you for insuring my safe passage."

*Avelsa thinks for a moment.*

"If you will please excuse me, I need to get some personal possessions from my ship."

*She walks back into her spacecraft followed by Huw.  Avelsa picks up her travelling bag and collects a few devices.  Avelsa had been wise to save her top-secret observation notes and logs on them.  Huw gives her a warning look.*

"You don't need to worry about these."

*Avelsa lifts the devices that she is placing into the bag.*

"They are just my theological studies, along with a few diplomatic notes and issues that I have been asked to bring up."

*She finishes packing her bag.*

"I have everything I need, shall we?"

"

OFF: I am the Tactical Officer here, and i have locked the keypads to respond to me only, just like anyone would do.

Miss Avelsa, i am afraid we are to busy to deal with your request, so you must now go to your quarters, and i will send Mr Svennson to see you when he is not busy.

*Avelsa utters a protest*

I am sorry, but these are our regulations.
And you do not have the rights of one of our ambassadors, because we helped you out with your ship, you techically have the same rights as a refugee.

*Avelsa looks angry*

Oh d*amn the regulations, i will take you to Svensson just this once, as i dont want to be the one who screws up first contact with the DA.

Follow me.

*Avelsa does so and we arrive at the bridge*

Captain Voya, Mr Svensson, Miss Avelsa would like to speak to you.

OFF2: I just realised that i am the only surviving crew member! Svensson isnt technically part of the crew. so that makes me senior, wow.

*whispers* if you dont drop anything we wont.

*points towards an empty console.* If you can quietly climb in there we can hide there till the shift is over. then perhaps find a quiet room somewhere.

"The crystal stone is right here."
*Embries points at the seat on the left of the captain's chair, where the crystal stone is resting on a blanket.*
"Don't worry, I'm not letting it out of my sight."

=^= Incident on the Evolution. I am not aware of that, may I know what happened? =^=

*bolts upright and starts busying himself at the apparition of Sloan*

Sir, an honour to have you aboard sir... *eyebrow raises* Hang on, arent you dead?

OFF: dont look at me, i want to stay as chief tactical officer

Voya continues her work in the labs, testing several samples of the asteroid for stability and chemical composition. She remains unaware of Svensson coming aboard.

OFF: Would that be me? Technically in intel I'm still a Lt. Commander, I'm a Commodore in FSS...

Voya nods. Turning to her operations officer:

"Commander Mosby, notify crew of depature...I want the ship out of the dock in under ten minutes. Helm, set course for Avalon Station, warp five. And Mr. Svensson, please, do make yourself comfortable."

She says this as she enters her ready room. She returns a few moments later and seats herself in the captain's chair, obviously trying to hide a smile.

Helm: Course set, Avalon Station. Warp five, Captain.

She motions forward in the cleche gesture.

"Engage."

I will go and greet the guest captain.

*Straps on a phaser*

Ok. I will be humble and nice, but i will be cautious.

*proceeds to the shuttle bay*

Greetings Miss Avelsa

"I'm not going to-"
*Suddenly, he realises he is no longer in Enoch's shop, but on board a highly sophisticated starship bridge.*
"What the... where are we? I've never seen a bridge like this before!"

"Oh, so we are going to Vontak Nor.  Why didn't someone tell me?"

*Zayan puts the phaser back in its holster.*

"I would have notified my crew back on Avalon so that they would not worry about me.  Since Zentox' death, they have been a little more concerned about my safety."

*She picks up the crystal and sits down in the seat, putting her feet up.  Zayan then relaxes as she looks at the crystal as she turns it in her hand.  The light shines around the bridge, lighting it up with all sorts of colours.*

*Embries gives Emrodel a frown, and then heads for the turbolift as well.*
"Very well. Let's catch the next turbolift."
*The turbolift door opens, and they step inside. Embries turns around to Voya, Picard and Huw.*
"Thanks for the lift."
*The turbolift doors close, and they head for the transporter room. Soon thereafter, they beam over to the Evolution.*

OFF: Ok, you're free from us now, so you can embark on a new mission if you like.

Yes Mr Huw we got here and a lot of people disembarked including the Director.

off: if you find this acceptable then you can email me a quick description of the current mission and what exactly the Phoenix needs to do.

*Svensson makes a tour around the ship, and immediately notices Voya as he enters the labs.*
"Ahh! Finally a familiar face again! I thought that the entire crew had been replaced by engineers upgrading the ship. But the result is quite impressive, isn't it? Especially the upgrade of the newest ship cloaking technology. So, how have you been as of late? Oh, by the way, congratulations with your promotion. I suppose that makes you acting captain of the ship, until Mr. Chekov returns from the undercover mission he's currently assigned to."

OFF: We could say that your promotion to commodore is effective in Intel too. That makes you could technically command the ship yourself. As for Alexei Chekov, last time he posted, he informed us that due to personal situations, he couldn't post for some time. This has been some months ago, so I have no idea when or if he will return. But he has given notice of his disappearance back then, so I would like to keep a spot open for him, should he be able to return. But until then, you can be acting CO of the ship, how does that sound? Should he return, you could perhaps be his XO? Seeing that most of the crew has pretty much vanished. Let's hope that at least Huw is around still.

OFF: you can use NPC's if you like, that's up to you

"No cargo, except for myself, Ms. Voya. Well, if everything is set, I'd say... take her out, heading a course to Avalon Station."

"Very well. Mr. Huw, assist Ms. Avelsa with repairs on the Nigillian ship, while I head back to the bridge to ensure we are back on course to Avalon Station."
*He nods at Voya, and turns around to head back for the bridge.*

"There are some things that regular Starfleet officers just don't know, major Embries, and common shopkeepers do."
*Enoch smiles at Embries, and sits down behind one of the control panels.*
"It's been a long time, so let's see if I can still do this."
*He taps a few buttons.*¨
"Transwarp drive powering up, director!"

OFF: I only locked the tactical station, and i acted like this because two strangers have just materialised onboard and one has proceeded to start using the consoles...

*Huw puts his phasers away*

Forgive me Svensson, it was like a soldiers reflex action...

*mans the tactical station, face as red as his uniform*

*Emrodel looks longingly at Enoch as the turbolift doors close.  She then turns to Embries.*

"Trouble is a brewing."

*Embries gives her a strange look.*

"What, did you think I would go with them.  I decided to go with you to the Evolution.  You have been alone far too long."

OFF: Sorry i have been off in london doing some politics uni work...

Ok, thank you Mr Picard... I take it we are waiting here till they come back...

off: urm...i can't post alot, but i can have Sloan take over command for a short time...until someone else can be found for the captaincy. just don't expect me to post every day........

OFF: Finally...

*A loud thud issues from the Console by Security*

YEEOWW!

*Gets up from underneath the console rubbing a lump on his head*

Dang console...

*notices svensson*

Ah, Svennson, nice to see you old friend, just tuning her up. Since DS12 she hasnt been the same. And neither has the crew

OFF: We USED to be the most active ship.

Well where to captain? or is Ms Voya now in charge?

OFF: sorry i havent posted i have been at an RPG convention all week (GENCON UK)

Sir, i am detecting you have approximately 10 minutes till the ship explodes.

Captain Voya, wow that sounds weird, i mean, we need to move back to a safe distance.

"Mosby, you  have the bridge."

*She enters the turbolift.*

"Hangar 1."

*Voya steps out of the turbolift just as the shuttle is rested inside the shuttle bay. She stands rigidly, as any captain would meeting a stranger.*

"Holodecks won't be necessary. I want to be fully ready and prepared, when we arrive at Avalon station, instead of being in a... holodeck program. You know me well enough to know I'm not fond of holodecks all that much."
*Svensson sits down at the seat behind the ops panel, and checks the console.*
"Just some matters on my mind, classified things."

*Avelsa looks angry and disgruntled.*

"I demand to know why I am being unlawfully confined to my guest quarters! I am neither a criminal, nor a 'refugee' that is not to be trusted!  I am a member of the D.A. with a high status, there for a respected and honoured guest of the Federation!  Now tell me why I am being treated as your prisoner!  I would not have found out if I did not attempt to check on my ship!  Are you in league with those pirates who attacked me!   If you are planing on holding me for ransom, my people will retaliate!"

*She stops speaking, her face flushed to a nice purple colour, while trying to catch her breath.*

*Avelsa a little more calm, and back to her normal colour, answers.*

"Finally! A straight answer not shrouded in darkness.  I left my quarters to see how the repairs were going, when I was detained.  But as I just heard, my ship is worthy for space travel.  Now if you do not mind, I would like to leave immediately!"

*Smiles smugly*

Good bye sir, have a nice time

*Huw reappears on the bridge rubbing his side*

Kidney punches hurt...

*coughs*

*Sees the new arrivals and instinctively draws a phaser*

HANDS WHERE I CAN SEE THEM!

*draws another phaser which he points at Enoch*

Step away from the console...

*Svensson sighs*

*Voya's visage of amusement vanishes immediately as she comes into the bridge. She scans over the strangers currently manning the consoles on her bridge, her brow burrowing, obviously battling rage inside her. She speaks cooly...*

"Director, a word with you, please..."

*She motions to her ready room.*

Nyssa piloted the shuttle that she borrowed from the now decommissioned Blackfire and slowly approached the Phoenix. =^="This is Lieutenant Nyssa Grant reporting for duty.=^=

=^="We have been expecting you, Lieutenant Grant, and we are ready to beam you aboard."=^=

=^="Acknowledged." She turned the controls over to the ensign who was supposed to pilot the shuttle, but understood Nyssa's need to do so and prepaired the tiny transporter section. After a quick goodbye, Nyssa was in the transporter room of the Phoenix with her belongings. The ensign that was running the transporter shut it down and after greetings were exchanged, led her to her quarters, which were quite spacious. After putting some of her belongings away, she went to the bridge and reported for duty.

"Captain, Lieutenant Nyssa Grant reporting for duty, sir."

"You were one of the people who was aboard the Blackfire?"

"Yes, sir. I had gone through all of the basic training which means having a basic knowledge of how all of the departments of a ship runs, and I was one of the helmspeople of the Blackfire. I have yet to get into any intelegence training. And I was told that I may be doing double duty as a junior JAG officer? If so, I have no training in that, either.

*Avelsa sees Svensson is about to leave and rushes over to him.*

"I wish to come with you as well.  The more eyes there are to look, the faster we can find what we are searching for."

*She steps into the turbolift before the doors close.  Not allowing Svensson the opportunity to say no.*

The crew of the Evolution...? What do you have on them?

BTW, I have been in touch with the President. I have been seriously considering taking up his offer to command his personal Intel force. While the other Intel branches still report to me, it will open the position of Starfleet Intelligence Director for you. He'll have my answer the day after tomorrow.

No worse than most of the Continuim

OFF: Alexei Chekov is supposed to be the captain, but he's on ELOA and I don't know when/if he is expected to return. Until then, Voya can be in charge. I don't think Dr. Becker is still with us, and Max Brooks has left for an indefinite time, and, I suppose, so has Mason. So that leaves us with us three for the moment, until new people get assigned.

"Well, Mr. Huw, the ship did need an extensive upgrade, and those things take time. Intelligence and Section 31 ships need refits and upgrades more than twice as much as regular starships, so we can make sure to always remain one step ahead of the rest of the galaxy."
*Svensson smiles.*
"But it is good to see you all again. Look, I need your help in a fairly simple mission. I need to get to Avalon Station soon, and would like to get aboard there without really being detected. So the ship has to be cloaked during our voyage there, and while I transport down. But don't worry, the latest cloak system upgrades should enable transport while being cloaked. Any questions?"

OFF: this will be a fairly short mission, though there will be a few more things happening on the way. And after that, I hope that we got this crew enough started again to keep the ship going

*Avelsa turns around in her seat, accidentally squishing Svensson against the wall.*

"I'm sorry sir! This is a small ship.  The warp core is in the back there."

*Svensson walks towards the back of the ship, and enters a slightly larger area.*

"No, no, no.  Not that far back."

*She gets out of the chair and walks back toward Svensson.  Avelsa stops half way to where the director is standing.  She points to a hidden panel in a section of the floor.*

"It is here. To save space we have built a recessed chamber for the warp core, as you can see we value all the space we can get in here."

*Avelsa pushes a button on the wall. The section she had pointed to slowly rises up, with the warp core chamber attached to the underside of it.  There are access control panels on both sides of the chamber.*

"This is the warp core, and you should be able to operate the panel on the side of the chamber.  The same panel is also on this side, but it is severely damaged.  As you can see, without any assistance it would explode.  The core takes up the entire space of this passageway when it is up here, and I am not thin enough to squeeze by it to reach the other panel.  I could not stand on that side of the core, due to the fact that there is only one control panel, on this side, that can raise it up out of the ship's hull.  Is that panel still functioning?"

*The main door of the small Nigillian ship opens.*
"Ah, it seems we have arrived. The ship's captain is already awaiting us."
*He gets out and nods at Voya.*
"Ms. Voya, it appears we have a guest for the time being. Her ship needs some extensive repairs. Meanwhile, we can resume course to Avalon Station."

OFF: See now, Huw can follow an order, I like that.

"Director, please, you seem uneasy. Relax and enjoy the voyage. We've yet another two hours until we arrive. Here: I recommend a new Holodeck program I had created a short time ago. It is a combination of aroma therapy and masseuse work. I believe you'd enjoy it."

*She recognizes his reluctance with the all-too-familiar expression.*

"...as a friend, Peter."

"Calm down, Ms. Avelsa. You are no prisoner aboard this ship, but while you are here, you will abide to our regulations. This is not... just any ship, Ms. Avelsa. We have purposes besides those of the others, but always only in the best interests of the Federation and its civilians. We have security guidelines that are a little more... strict, then on other ships. And I assure you, that Mr. Huw is a very fine security officer, without him I wouldn't have been able to run this ship during the time I did. So don't worry, we are not allied with any pirates, and Avalon Station is but another 30 minutes away. Surely that won't be too long to wait?"
*Svensson nods his head and smiles politely.*

"I assure you, Miss Avelsa, it is alleviation to us all. May your voyages bring prosperity to you and your people."

*She salutes her in a Vulcan manner once more. As Huw begins to take Avelsa to the turbolift, she makes one more comment.*

"...And Miss Avelsa, I request you not share your aid with anyone."

"Spoken like a true Section 31 officer, Mr. Huw."
*Svensson smiles and then turns to the viewscreen, displaying Avalon Station, as the ship drops out of warp in front of it.*
"Ah, my end station for this trip. I will beam over to Avalon station now. Remain in the neighbourhood for now, until I say otherwise."
*Then he turns to Voya.*
"Thank you for the smooth journey."
*He nods at James Picard and Huw with a smile, and then leaves the bridge to go to the transporter room. Moments later, he beams over to the station...*

*Huw reappears on the bridge rubbing his side*

*sitting at one of the consoles Emrodel glances down and reads the panel.*

"According to this we are nearing Vontak Nor.  Is that where we are being taken with the crystal?  Speaking of the crystal, who has it?"

*Avelsa looks at Voya.*

"I see she has not changed.  Still the same bitter sweet person she was when I was here last."

OOC---This is Nyssa Grant, former helmswoman of the Blackfire. I was told to report here. I have read all of the posts here, and I am awaiting you at SS Avalon. As for the command problem, who was your 3rd senior most officer, after your Captain and XO? In my opinion, that should be the next person in charge. I have had almost 4 years of RPG experience, but since I was never offically given a rank, I am making myself an Ensign, junior grade, just out of the Academy and assigned to the Blackfire as a helmsman. I have gone through traning in all branches of operations on a starship, as a requirement of JAG/Intell officers, but was assigned to the Blackfire before I received my first JAG/Intell lesson. When I do board the Phoenix, where would you like me to be? I am a trained junior jack of all trades, but willing and needing to learn more.  Nyssa

*looks around quietly watching the officers*

*eyes go slightly wide as he notices the crystals starts to glow very faintly*  *watches emberies realize at the same time*

*ducks head back under very quickly but realizes that emberies see's him.  Emberies looks startled for a minute but recovers without anyone noticing and just shakes his head slightly and resumes working.

"Oh, so we are here already?"

*Zayan stands up, wrapping the crystal stone in the cloth and puts it into her pocket.*

"Well let's go, shall we."

*She walks over to the turbolift joining Svesson and Enoch.*

"It would be nice to see Sanchez again."

Quiet an impressive ship I see they finally got hte transwarp engine online.  but anyway accfording to this their on Vontak Nor with the crew of evolution.

You would make one badass Intel agent with that ability, what with the disguises as well...

Have we arrived at Vontak Nor yet?

OFF: YES! My first act of tyranny! I have a one man crew. Awesome.

*Voya follows Sullivan up to the bridge as he speaks to Huw.*

"Hard at work, I see."

BUMP

"Oh, do be careful. Let me have a look, see."

She carefully looks his head over, touching the growing mound on his head. She chuckles slightly, then proceeds to the mini-med kit on the bridge. She pulls out what looks to be a small pad. She pinches it, causing a chemical reaction inside the bag; the liquid inside becoming cold as ice. With a smile she lightly slaps it on his head.

"Going to Avalon, you say? What business have we there that must be kept silent?"

OFF: Oh come on. Even the thickest of Starfleet officers knows you don't just beam aboard a stranger's ship. I would expect more of a Director. But fine. I'll go along with this...

*Avelsa regards Svensson's question.  She is about to answer when he gives orders to have the ship towed into a shuttlebay to be fixed.*

"Well... Why thank you for doing this!  I did not expect you to go out of your way to help me.  And I must say, not all Nigillian ships are this small.  However this is not our smallest vessel either.  This ship is normally used for diplomatic missions, of one delegate, from our homeworld to the  homeworlds of other Delta Alliance members."

*Avelsa thinks that she should probably be a bit more cautious around this man.*

"If you don't mind me asking, where are you headed?  I might be going in the same direction.  Oh, or by some chance our destination is the same?"

*She cocks her head to the side as though to get a better look at him.*

OCC: Lets just say that I have been on board the entire trip. Maybe it crew quarters or something like getting used to the Phenonix.

Coming on to the Bridge I take my place a the X.O. Seat. Ah hello Director Wow it must be a V.I.M. if the Director is here to see to it And at helm no less.

MMMMMMMMhhh what could it be.

*Voya stops Svensson there.*

"As the director said, you are not a prisoner, but rather a guest GIVEN you obey the specific rules previously set for you. Now calm yourself. I see no reason for you to leave your quarters for this moderately short voyage. Even so, I gave you opportunity to aquire anything you needed outside of your quarters with my consent. This must be the reason behind your visit, what is it that you request of me, Ms. Avelsa?"

*Helm behind her announces a 27 minute ETA.*

Maam, I think we should avoid contact with the DA from now on the only other ships they have had contact from are the ships from avalon division, which are vastly inferior to the Phoenix. It is better to let them think they have the advantage, just in case hostilities arise.

OFF: Svensson has contacted the Phoenix and has ordered beam-out of everyone inside Enoch's store on Avalon Station. We all appear on the bridge (Svensson, Embries, Enoch, Zayan, Avelsa and Emrodel), but at the last moment, two half-Klingon children (Vorlok and Sarnae) managed to jump in the transporter beam as well and beam over unseen. They will hide on the ship until it reaches Vontak Nor, and the idea is that they remain unseen the entire trip.

*Everyone rematerializes on the bridge of the U.S.S. Phoenix. The bridge appears manned only low, as Voya and Huw are in the holodeck, and James Picard is temporarily in command.*
"Ah, Mr. Picard, good to see you again. Set a course to the Dark Passage, we're going to pay a visit to Vontak Nor. Transwarp speed."
*Then he turns to everyone else.*
"Take a seat, everyone, and make yourselves comfortable. It won't be long until we reach out destination."

Sarnae glares and leans closer to Vorlok. "It was the crash you made dropping the helmet that got us caught, not me," she whispers back before quietly crawling towards the empty console and climbing in.

*Enoch lifts his hands in the air.*
"All right, all right. I didn't mean to intrude anywhere. I just thought that you all wouldn't mind if I help out a hand, as me and Mr. Svensson have been friends for years."
*He steps away from the console and nods at Huw.*
"It's all yours, sir. Besides, it shouldn't be long until we arrive at Vontak Nor anyway."

"Well, I've never been to Vontak Nor, but I've heard many people speak of it. It's supposed to be a typical Nor-class Cardassian station that is now inhabited by Cardassians, Loxians and Starfleet at the same time. But you may want to take a look for yourself, we've arrived."
*Enoch points at the viewscreen, displaying Vontak Nor inside the Dark Passage as the ship drops out of transwarp and goes to full impulse.*

*Svensson sighs.*
"All right then, you can come with us. Now, let's go to the transporter room, shall we?"

Hmmm...very well, nothing to worry about there for the moment then....I wonder what they are up to over there....

*waves and follows suit*

OFF: Well, SOMETHING has to be done here soon.

*sighs in a joke way* I think its too late Sir, i guess Avalon may have heard me scream, it was quite painful...

Hmm, well three man crew? Ships have been sailed on a lot less than that. I can get you to Avalon quietly, but if by the slimmest chance we are spotted what shall we do?

"Stand by, I will transport over to your ship and see if I can be of any help. Svensson out."
*He turns to Voya and Huw, and shrugs.*
"We can't leave this ship here in the middle of nowhere, after all. Space is dangerous enough as it is, and besides, it's a Delta Alliance ship. Maybe we can gather some more intelligence this way. I'll be back before you know it."
*He initiates site-to-site transport, and materializes moments later on Avelsa's ship.*
"Greetings, I am director Svensson. Tell me where your warp core is, I'll attempt to initiate a restart. Our ship's sensors have indicated there isn't much time before it will destabilize to critical levels, so we should hurry."

*The ship shakes slightly, as the Phoenix' tractor beam catches it, slowly dragging it closer to its shuttlebay.*
"I am heading to Avalon Station. Surely you must have heard of it."

OFF: Ah! Picard! I meant for q to my XO. You may act as CTO unless he chooses not to accept. *chuckles* I'm glad you responded so quickly, though.

OFF2:Mosby can be my CEO, then, not my XO.

"Lieutenant Mosby, if you please, choose a team to repair Ms. Avelsa's vessel immediately. She claims she is heading towards Avalon for diplomatic purposes, and if that is indeed true, her arrival in our ship could prove a disaster for our own covert operation. Surely they'd wonder what vessel she arrived in, suspicion could arise that could cause trouble for her and us. She will be released shortly before we reach Avalon. Do everything in your power to meet your deadline, Lieutenant."

*She enters her ready room and seats herself. She continues a log for the day.*

"computer, continue Captain's log."

The compuer beeps.

"Captain Voya, stardate 57812.3, 13:04 hours. We've just collected a traveler. She calls herself Avelsa. The traveler had transmitted a distress call, which Director Svensson seemed eager to respond to; I believe this was due to his months behind a desk. Her vessel had sustained damage, and is currently being repaired in docking bay 1....I don't know what it is....maybe I'm simply getting antsy with another woman onboard. I never did like other women. Still, she gives me the strangest feeling. In any matter, the sooner she's off my ship, the sooner she's not my problem. End Log."

Computer beeps.

*Avelsa discreetly pocket the recording device.*

"Oh, Mr. Huw I am glad you are here.  I was just attempting to find my way back to my ship.  I wanted to see how the repairs were going."

*At that moment the words 'you are not allowed to leave your quarters' register in her mind.*

"What do you mean, I'm 'not allowed to leave my quarters'?  Am I some kind of prisoner on this ship?  I am a Representative Assistant, I have the same rights as any of your Ambassadors!  I insist that you take me to see Mr. Svensson, now!  I will not tolerate this kind of treatment.  If you do not take me to him right this instance, I will be sure to make a report of this incident to my superiors in the D.A."

*Avelsa looks at him slyly.*

"This could complicate relations between the D.A. and Starfleet.  However, I am willing to 'forget' this occurred.
That is of course if you take me to see Svensson straight away.  Oh, and do not mention anything about me getting lost to any one."

Off: Mr Huw I would suggest you read my profile before you try to lock me out of anything.

Ensign, Locking me out. I simply returns to the Tactical station and impersonating the Ensigns voice as the Q can do fools the computer into relinquishing Tactical Control to me.

Off 2: HA HA Mr Huw should realise that the Q can do what they want. Weather they decide to play by star fleets rules and rank of what they have achieved or stepping outside the structure.

Off: Mr Huw is it just that you want all consols to yourself or something. You migh be as your signature says a one man army but one man can control too bridge stations at the oposite ends of the bridge. Remember our trip here you weren't at Helm the director was.

OFF: Ok, we need to move things a bit faster, other missions are waiting for us to arrive at Vontak Nor.

*Svensson and Voya appear out of the ready room again, and Svensson takes a look at the viewscreen, displaying Vontak Nor, and the U.S.S. Evolution docked to it.*
"Ah, finally! Hail Vontak Nor with a docking request."
*A moment later, captain Burma appears on the screen.*
"Captain Burma, the Messiah. It seems that your new role as spiritual leader has changed you quite a bit. We request permission to dock, we are here for some investigation, nothing to worry about. General Zayan is with me."

Under the command of Randall Sanchez, a promising captain, follows things by the book.  NO good to us.

Has a wide variety of different species for crews.  Otherall a decent ship.  Has some good fireppower, but it lacks offensive due to limitations of training of tactical staff.

"If spotted, we simply act as if we are on a survey mission. As for our business at Avalon station, I can't reveal too much information just yet, until I know more about it myself. Let's say that some artefact has been retrieved, that may possibly pose a security threat to the Federation. I need to investigate it for myself, before I can take any action."
*He points at the captain's seat and looks at Voya.*
"The chair is yours, captain. When is the ship ready for departure?"

*Svensson appears on the bridge again.*
"How much longer until we get to Avalon Station?"

Ah Miss Avelsa forgive me for being so rude, its just we are running on a skeleton crew, and i have to solve every little security dispute.

How did you get on to that console? Hmmph Well nevertheless i can take my position now.

OFF: Do i get a promotion now? as in the roster from about two months ago it says i am being promoted.

"Weapons, Mr. Huw?"

*She stares intently at the officer.*

*Enoch carefully approaches Huw.*
"Mr. Huw, is it not?"
*He extends his hand.*
"I am Enoch. I want to apologize for the... misunderstanding just now. I did not mean to intrude in your routines here. But I must say, it is an honour to meet you, Mr. Huw. Being one of the few who is informed from time to time about things that go on behind-the-scenes, if you know what I mean, I have heard a great deal about you. You are like one of those ancient Celtic heroes of the Days of Old on Earth!"

"Very well, you can go to the Evolution, and take the other guests with you. I will contact any of you, if I need you. Meanwhile, you are all under orders not to discuss anything regarding the artifact with anyone. Oh, and send captain Sanchez to Vontak Nor too, I'd like to have a talk with him."
*Then he turns to Voya.*
"Ms. Voya, thank you for your hospitality during our stay. Me and general Zayan will now beam over to the station, and take the crystal with us. We can handle things on our own from here, so you are free to take the ship wherever Section 31 is needed the most in the universe. Until later."
*Svensson heads for the turbolift.*

*A loud popping noise occurs and Director Sloan suddenly appears on the Bridge. After taking a cursory glance around the bridge he snorts with disgust and walks into the Captain's Ready Room. Taking the Captain's chair behind the desk, he sits down.*

Computer, give me some music...Celtic/Folk, Old Earth Style.

*He puts his feet up on the desk and sits back to wait for Svensson.*

OFF: So is it really just Huw, Svensson, and I? Or will we be using CPU's for Engineers and Tactical, etc?

Voya is a bit unprepared, not realizing her duties as acting Captain would start today,...or this month, for that matter. She turns to an engineer currently running diagnostics on a nearby console.

"Lieutenant,..."

She steps up next to him and looks over the console he's working at.

"Yes Ma'am, I know what you're wondering. We've completed installing the new cloaking device about an hour ago. I'm running some tests for efficiency now. It seems to be operating better than we had expected."

Voya nods to Svensson.

"Any special cargo we'll need for the ship? Otherwise we're basically set."

*Un concerned with the request to disarm, he shows her the quarters*

Hmm, where have you been, your shift started an hour ago?

I mean, welcome back sir...

OFF: maybe it's Voya who should have the honour of officially promoting you, Huw

*A transmission comes in on the bridge from engineering, stating that they had finished the major repairs on Avelsa's ship.*
"Well, Ms. Avelsa, it appears your ship is about ready for departure again. And I see we are nearing Avalon station. We will drop out of warp now, so you can take your ship and be on your way again."

*smiles weakly*

Although i have had my Holodeck privileges revoked for that same purpose... One Fight and i am in trouble, yea ok i did break his arm, but he was up for it...

*Voya yawns* Voya: Yea, get on with it...

*Embries rolls his eyes at Enoch and Huw.*
"Human nostalgia. You need to learn to live with it. You're acting as if the man is King Arthur standing before you!"
*He can't help but laugh.*

*He pulls the hairs on his long, grey beard as he laughs.*

*Embries suddenly steps forward.*
"I would like to go to the Evolution and see what is going on there. If they have an intruder on board that is endangering the lives of the crew, I may be of help tracking him down."

*ducks out and follows emberies*

OFF: why is that so unlikely that I would beam over? If you carefully look at Star Trek episodes, you'll see that it happened before. The other day I saw a DS9 episode again, where Sisko and Kira beamed over to an alien ship in distress. And they didn't know the ship either. The situation would be different, of course, if the ship was not in distress and needed help urgently or people could die.

"Let me have a look at the control panel over there."
*He squeezes through some narrow areas to reach the panel.*
"This ship isn't exactly built with efficiency, is it? Are all Nigillian ships like this?"
*He reaches the control panel, but it appears half burnt out.*
"This won't do much good. I will have to do it manually."
*He ducks under the panel, opens a piece of plating and reaches some cables. He removes and rearranges some, and a moment later the warp core shuts down. The alarm siren stops blazing.*
"There you are, that was simple enough. It is strange that you sustained damage right here, while your outer hull didn't appear to be damaged much at all, though."
*He takes his tricorder, and scans the area. He detects some food and spare part supplies in the storage room next to the room he was in. Did the pirates that attacked her, overlook something then? That sounded hard to believe. Then Svensson looked up again, attempting not to raise suspicion.*
"Hmm... your ship still needs some repairs. I can't restart the warp core from here without risking blowing up more systems of your ship. But it's small enough to enter my ship's shuttlebay, and we could perform repairs on there more efficiently, while we can be on our way again. Besides, I am on my way regarding an important mission, and time is of the essence. When your ship is sufficiently repaired, we can release it from our shuttlebay again and you can be on your way."
*Not giving her the time to respond, he taps his commbadge.*
"Svensson to Phoenix. Prepare shuttlebay 1 for retrieval procedure. Use tractor beams to drag this ship inside the shuttlebay, as its engines are shut down."
*Then he turns to Avelsa again and smiles.*
"Besides, on our ship, you won't have to worry about the pirates coming back to steal the rest of your cargo."

*Huw catches up with Avelsa*

I am afraid you are not allowed to leave your quarters, please follow me back to them.

*Avensa looks slightly miffed*

OFF: You're fighting over the tactical console? He's temporarily my XO, Q or not, he has access to it. Now to make this simple: Huw-tactical and security, Picard-XO and whatever duties comes with that. And certainly, I'll promote him whenever he wants, what to?

"Yes, Mr. Huw, please escort Miss Avelsa to her shuttle and see her off. Mr. Picard, please assume Huw's station now, please."

"Thank you, Mr. Huw.  I will not need anything further at the moment.  If you have some duties to perform, I will not take up any more of your time."

*After Huw leaves her quarters, Avelsa takes out one of the information recording devices.  She then activates it.*

"Note: The unusual ship, Phoenix, did not take much effort to board by non-hostile means.  The crewmembers that I have seen so far appear to be with Starfleet, however their uniforms do not mach the given description in D.A. records.  I suspect that I have come across a separate organisation, not of the known Starfleet.  I will investigate this theory further."

*Avelsa turns off the recorder and puts it in her pocket.  She then heads out of her quarters.  Looking up and down the corridor, Avelsa does not see anyone.  She carefully steps out of the room, half expecting an alarm or something to happen.  When nothing happens, Avelsa continues down the corridor.  She takes a few notes every once in a while.  Avoiding the ship's crew, Avelsa's wandering takes her into engineering.*

Yes Ma'am. I generally play nice when others play nice. Looking at Ensign (Lt that would be his next promotion Lt jg) Huw sideways thinking about changing him into an Eredian Slug. No I should play nice it is unbecoming to fight with a junior officer.

"Great...stuck on this vessel...again..."

*A thought overcomes her*

"Mr. Huw, I know you're a man that'd take up arms instantly. Perhaps you'd enjoy some hand to hand combat in the holodeck..."

*Zayan pulls out a phaser.*

"Where the heck are we Svensson?!  For one who seems to know so much, you don't know s#@t about me!  I do not like abrupt transporting without my knowledge of them going to happen!"

=^= The crew was enjoying a brief shoreleave on the station, when one of their crewmembers was discovered unconscious in the Loxian park on our Promenade. Around the same time, an explosion destroyed the ship's armory, so there may be an intruder on board their ship. That is all I know. =^=

*appears beside Sloan* my gawd it's good to be back.  Wonder if we were missed or just declared dead again.  *sigh* I hate reworking the database.
