The awards will be images, created by Montrell. You can see samples on the site (go to "Home" and then the grey buttons to "Awards" where you will see them when you scroll down).

The following regulations are for the contesters:

AWARD CONTEST RULES
1. Your site must be Star Trek-related
2. There must be sufficient contents on your site (not a site of just a few pages)
3. Your site should be regularly updated
4. Your site should not have any broken links or images
5. Your site should not be under construction, either entirely or partially
6. Your site may not contain any sexual-oriented, nudity or racistic material, nor links to such sites

CRITERIA
When reviewing a website that has submitted for an award, we look for several aspects:
1. Overall design of the website
2. General content of the website
3. Originality of the content and/or design
4. Easy or difficult navigation through the website
5. Quality of the design and images
6. Ad-free website, or with banners and/or popups

These are the guidelines for the jury panel.

The jury panel should exist of at least 5 people, and 10 people at max. The marks that are given for whatever website, in here, must remain in here. Everything discussed in here is to remain confidential at all times - even toward the contester in question. The only result that will be made publicly available, is which award the contester will get. Not his end-grade.

There will be three different awards:
- Bronze
- Silver
- Gold

In order to have Gold, the contester must receive an end-grade of at least 85%
In order to have Silver, the contester must receive an end-grade of at least 65%
All end-grades below 65% will be given a Bronze award.

Once you posted your marks, they are final. You are not allowed to modify them afterwards any more. So check the website thoroughly.

For each contester, a new topic will be created with all relevant information this contester has submitted. You post your grades in a reply to that topic. You have one week to reply. Only the grades that were posted within 7 days after the topic was created, will be counted, unless only less than 4 people have posted their grades.

You have to give a grade from 0 to 10 on each section, with 10 being best and 0 being worst.

SECTION 1:
First impression of the website (before you actually start surfing around and start reading)?

SECTION 2:
Quality of the overall design of the website?

SECTION 3:
Uniqueness of the overall design of the website?

SECTION 4:
How easy is it to navigate through the entire site?

SECTION 5:
How complete is the entire site? (broken links, broken images)

SECTION 6:
How fast can you surf through the site?  (do the pages load fast or not)

SECTION 7:
How interesting is the text contents of the website? (text that is simply copied from other sites, or actually written by the webmaster, ...)

SECTION 8:
Ads displayed on the website; are there banners or popups? How much, if at all, do they intrude you or annoy you, or make the website look ugly?

SECTION 9:
How worth is this website to bookmark and visit back regularly?

SECTION 10:
How about the services offered by the website, such as a board, a chatroom, a guestbook, downloads, ...

Please only give full grades, like 5 or 6 or 7 but not like 5.5 or 6.5 or 7.3 or anything like that.

One last note: feel free to also write a short remark, but only a positive one. If you have no positive remark, leave it be then lol. But if something really impressed you about the site, you can write it down. :)

If you have any questions, ask them here. Please dont make irrelevant topics in this forum. Thank you.

Have you designed the awards yet, or is it just going to be a text award? :)
