<The Heraani ship>

<John looks around the bridge dumbfounded for a few seconds then noticed a heraani who he thinks WAS the pilot, so he limps over pushes the pilot off the chair and then he sits in it.  He starts to push several buttons and soon after 40 minutes he figured it out and started to get the feel for it>

"Oh I think I got it sir.  This is amazing, they use a neural interface to pilot there vessels and operate the veiw screen.  This is amazing.  Im piloting us out.  I think I can activate the communications to send a message to the Iroquois, what do you wish me to send?"

"We best give him a fighting chance on this end then.  Would you agree?.  I suggest we repair the critical area first, which means we will have to open him up and see the real damage to his heart and repair that.  Then we will see how far his condition progresses."

*John follows Balkazar off the bridge and heads for the medical bay to gather up some medical gear incase theres wounded, then heads for the marine quarters to grab his rifle and the rest of his gear, then heads to shuttle bay 1*

(OOC: Nesbitt im no where near the sickbay to assist im busy trying to pilot the heraani ship at the moment.)

<John got the feeling for the ship quite rapidly and sets course to form up with the Lothlorien, while waiting for the Iroquois.  John took the time to get himself familiarized with the ships weapon systems and HUD like display>

OOC**Nesbitt, it was John who went to get the medkits and such not Balkazar.

<John hurried into the shuttle bay just as Balkazar was laying out plans to the marine platoon's.  He walks over and sets his gear down next to the other EVA suits and gear, then heads over to join his comrades for the debriefing>

<Walks up to the general after Balkazar had left, John salutes>

"Sir, heres another report.  Keller had to be put into suspended stasis, his wounds were too much for us to repair for the moment.  Also im afraid that we lost another 5 men during surgery.  Also the Col, lost his half brother today." John reported.

<Turns to face Wallace>

"Sorry, sir.  But the life of a marine is far more tedious and stressful then what you have over here on a starship.  Over there we had to face our friends getting wounded and dead, on the front lines we witness everything that most would never witness.  When the fighting is usually done its a nightmare and choatic.  Its nothing personal towards you Wallace I assure you." John said trying to cool the XO down.

<Heraani Ship's Bridge>

"Yes sir.  Sending it now." John responded.

=^= "USS Iroquois, Come in.  We have secured the ship and are now attempting to pilot her out.  We have yet to figure out the vital systems but we should have them figure out soon.  We will make contact when we are out of the nebula." =^=

End Transmission.

"Message sent sir."

<John brings up the navigation maps on a HUD like display and uses it to chart there course out of the Nebula>

"None here, sir.  However, I want to make sure that everyone wears full battle gear underneath there EVA suits.  So we can shed the suits immediately.  Also try to keep an open communications link to each other and the ships.  Make sure your helmet's are also set for multi-spectrum viewing, should make things alot easier.  Make sure you have your compression rifles too." John said in an informing matter, knowing it was his job to make sure everyone didnt forget anything.

"You face ship to ship danger, we face being cut in 2 on a daily basis, we face being blown up and god knows what else.  But if it helps, im one of the marines that is giving you starfleet the benefit of the doubt and try and maintain some sort of respect between marine and navy.  Please excuse me, I need to get some rest its been an interesting day." John said before leaving the bridge to go to his bunk to sleep.

"Hi, Im John Simpson.  Combat medic for the marines." he said extending his hand to shake Maguid.

"You seem more jovial then most Romulans.  Why is that?.  Arent we supposed to be at war ? last I checked.  Yet, your here part of starfleet.  Very strange indeed, you dont plan on betraying the Federation of planets do you?" he said to Maguid.

"Oh dont worry, youll make plenty of friends here and theres no back stabbing.  Marines teach us to be honest even tho it may cost us our lives.  It teaches us not to be scared of a superior because they were in our shoes at one point in time.  I have learned from past experience to never back stab my friends.  If I did that I wouldnt have made it into the marines, marines will teach you alot about self sacrifice, Honor, compassion, humility.  Once you recieve your first red badge of courage you will know what it means to be a marine and you wont be scared of fighting anymore.  Luckily for me, I just sit back usually and tend to the wounded.  Have you ever thought about doing a trial run with the marines?.  See how it feels and such?" John inquired.

"Ok, your done for now.  Ill head up to the bridge with you after I put this stuff away.  Oh and dont worry about the marines with there phasers at there hip, its a requirement for us.  Even if we are during peace times and such its still a requirement to be armed at all times.  Some of the marines are nice, others arent.  Others look rough and tough as a drill sergent to teach you not to be such a softy all the time.  We arent all that bad, just the superiors are the ones that are tough.  Im nice compared to Captain Keller.  He punched Nesbitt over there for not saluting cuz he came from starfleet before he joined up with us.  Col. Balkazar was Starfleet before he came here.  I believe he worked tactical.  I was a Navigation/Helmsmen on a frieghter before I joined up with the marines.  I was also the freighters doctor." He said with a chuckle.

"Im sure you mean well, Lt.  But so does the Col.  You need to learn to keep your attitude in check.  He actually was quite light on you compared to what he did to me when I first started here.  He literally had me clean the latrines for a lil mistake.  But a mistake can cost lives.  Understand?.  You probly dislike him right now, but it wont last.  Youll learn to respect him, then you will find out he can be a great friend to you.  Ok?.  Well lets get you your physicals." John finished as the doors opened.

"I sure hope they learn that marines arent the same as navy." John said to himself.

<John took the 2 threw corridors and around corners till they finally ended up at sickbay>

"Nesbitt, these 2 need there physicals.  Ill take care of Mr Mason here, and you can have Maguid.  Ok?" John finished then took Mason to a biobed to begin his physical.

<Over by the biobed>

<Takes up a medical tricorder and begins scanning Mason>

"So, Mason.  Have you had any illnesses lately? sickness we should be concerned about?.  Remember I may be a combat medic but I follow the same, Doctors oath has any other doctor.  Whatever, you tell me will be kept confidential.  Understand?" John told Mason.
