"Have all but McCoy work on Engineering. We are building the under parts separatly as if building 2 intrepids then connecting, this enable the ship to be separted 3 ways. Saucer, and 2 star drive sections in case of emergency. Each drive section will have a warp core, and so each nacelle will have its own personal warp core for increased power. Rather than trying to make one huge power source for both. This is more efficient."

The USS Interceptor sits inside of the Main Hangar bay, it's hull is 98% complete. But, at the time it's interior has next to nothing installed. A "Hollow" Ship.

Admiral Fisher comes to the main hanger where the shell like hull is being build. The hull is thicker than the normal hull to withstand the speeds it will be going.

Ian grabs the larger case readily and follows behind his superior. He looks up at the ship and remembers the time before he joined the academy when he worked on a few ships as a non-commissioned officer. He knew a lot about engines and starships, but this one dwarfed them tremendously.
He walks a little bit and focuses his attention on what Admiral Fisher is explaining to him, wanting to soak in as much knowledge as possible.

"I do not think the specs for the ship are open at the moment, they are vast and very long to list. What might be done is for each department chief be given info needed for his or her duties, and of those working underneath as well. In your case with Ops, primarily you will work with the main communications array, and other such things. The details of your further duties are for Captain Brodie to decide, which I am sure he will discuss in several briefings with the senior staff".

Hobson looked intently on the information of the ship, and touched one of the control panels. A chirp rang throughout the entire ship and his voice echoed on every deck.
"All Hands: This is Admiral Hobson. All decks and departments begin final preparations, the Interceptor is to depart late tommorow. Hobson out.".
He smiled slightly and turned to the command crew standing with him.
"I think you all have a decent amount of work to do before the ships departure, Admiral Fisher, might we discuss some details? Captain Brodie, you can gladly begin preparations. You have a long mission ahead of you".

"I will check your starfleet record, and perhaps a promotion to the rank of Commander would be fitting for your new assignment here on the Interceptor...but in the meantime, I present to you all! The bridge of the USS Interceptor! Much larger than most starship command decks. It does not quite match the command post of DS20 but it has its own abilities".
The bridge had a slight blue like glow to it, considering most of the controls were such a color. But it's railings and systems were well rounded, such as the classic bridge of the Galaxy Class Starship. Leaving the front of the bridge slanted somewhat below the back, where the minor system controls, and tactical systems were located. The Conn and Helm were not the only panels at the very front of the ship. In front of a very large viewscreen, a long row of panels sat for several officers to control.

"Admiral Fisher. I have laid out the basics of Sickbay and the Triage unit. The entire deck is to be medical units, and thats saying something on this ship. It is located on the upper stardrive under the saucer section if you want to take a look. I had the engineers begin work in it since I am no engineer myself"

"This is the bridge of the Interceptor. It is more large than the Sovereign or Excalibur Class Bridge's, but it is well needed for the kind of operations that take place on the ship. Like was mentioned in the conference, the ship will function more like a station..except of course, it can move at high warp and is a ship. There are stations for Astrometrics on the bridge, and for some other extra departments such as Strategic Ops for some of the more challenging situations. The bridge itself is a community, which should set the tone for the rest of the ship you will see".

Captain Brodie walked onto the bridge his hands behind his back. he looked around.
"Well we should get to work with the regular operations. All senior officers should report to the conference things so i can tell everyone how the ship will be ran under such remote of a mission we have for now."
