Rear Admiral Dathon I am not here to look after you so to speak.  My job is to simply to make a detailed report on the proposed security arrangements and any other problems that may be encountered..

Also Lt. Malia is Chief Tactical/Security officer and is the only Security personal on board.  It never hurts to have extra Security.

*walks out of the turbolift*
Since there is no real Chief Engineer, I took the opportunity to look :).

The computer is very confused, it's giving strange readings and several wrong messages, like the warpcore breach.

The computer can be fixed, but I could use some ppl in engineering ;)

at that moment the ship began to shiver
Ehm what was that?? Not the computer again I hope :disagree1:

Ahh Miss Malia...well shall we unload Commodore T Hain?

Ms Malia, we need to do a security check around the base...so we know there are any hostiles...right Commodore? Or do we have other priorities?

not much this ship has holodecks or anything that we can cut power off.
Main lights use 12% of the ship power and secondary lights only 8%.
if we shut down main lights on places where we dont need it we could have about 4.2% more power.

Dathon turns to T'Hain.

'Major, what are your orders for this mission? Did Nocturnus tell you to keep an eye on me? Is he worried that something could happen to me? When will he ever learn that I'm an andorian! I'm able to look after me myself...!'

OFF:  Ms Jessica MacIlrieth, welcome on this ship.
I have spoken with Admiral Vorak and he has agreed with a position for you on this ship.
I see you prefer the OPS station so it's yours to fill. With this position you have the rank of Lieutenant (please change your avatar (in your profile) to this rank, yellow bar with two pips).
Thanks for joining our crew, if you have any questions just ask..
--------------------

*The commander had just received his missionbriefing*
Well people, we have our first mission.
We need to transport buildingmaterials to a new base, and help constructing it.
The loading of these materials is in progress as we speak.
I don't know about the dangers of this trip, but we have to be alert at any time. We are carrying special and valuable goods.
Mr Langnickel, please go to the loading dock and take a look at what they are doing there...after all we are the ones who are flying this ship and we need to know what we are carrying...I want a complete report after the loading.

Ms Malia, please check all the Security and Tactical systems with Ms MacIlrieth. I also want a report about that, you all know your work.

*he walked over to his chair and began to read his mission details*

'Commander, I don't know who these pirates were. The only thing I know is that they attacked us. I agreed to give them the parts of the cargo they wanted, so there was no need for them to heavily damage the ship.

If you need any further details about what the pirates took away, Major T'Hain will help you with it.

Now, if you would excuse me...'

At this moment a heavy explosion in the interior of the ship shaked the U.S.S. Lancelot. The computer's voice sounded loudly:

'WARP CORE BREACH IN 40 SECONDS...'

Sutter and Dathon left the ready room and entered the bridge.

Wade walked to a panel.
Primary power is damaged.

Commander when I was stationed on the USS London we lost power after a torpedo hit on engineering.
if you modulate your main deflector to become a solar field generator and transfer that power to your force fields they might hold.

Could you now please tell me what happend...because I am not stupid. If there were serious pirates the whole cargo bay would be empty, which hasen't happend, and this ship would be seriously damaged, which also hasen't happend.

Dathon got up from his chair resolutely.

'I agree with Major T'Hain...'

He turned to Casden.

'Mr. Casden, you may come aboard the ship to discuss the details of our 'arrangement' with the Major and me. But if you try to trick us, I will show you what it means to trick an andorian... Dathon out.'

Dathon gave a signal to interrupt the transmission. Casden's face disappeared from the main screen.

'Commander Langnickel, you will prepare a self-destruct to be activated on my command.
Just in case this pirate will be getting up to mischief... If he wants our cargo - all right. But we cannot allow him to take this ship. Proceed now!'

Perhaps we should make them aware that if they destroy us they destroy the cargo along with it.

When this is done, and we have start going thru all names in the lists. Checking what they did, why, and if there might be reason for suspicion.

If we should suspect manipulation of the logs, a comparison of the StarFleet logs, should give us an hint to what was altered. If not a possible intruder also had access to StarFleet security databases, wich is less likely.

The Admiral entered the turbo lift. The doors closed.

'Main docking bay.'

The lift was going up.

Dathon enjoyed these few moments of being alone. Somehow he found it a bit confusing aboard such a large starbase. All these humans around here...

In some situations he found it quite difficult to control his andorian emotions... his aggressions. But he knew that he had to control them. Starfleet wouldn't tolerate any violence...

The turbo lift stopped. Dathon left it and entered the docking bay. He did some steps and stood in front of a freighter - was this the one Dathon was searching for? An officer had been taking position next to the ship...

'Excuse me, is this the U.S.S. Lancelot, Mr. - what's your name...?'

OK, Mr. Casden, you want our cargo, then u can't destroy us because if you do so, u won't get the cargo and the starfleet will put everything on it to find you, and they will find you!

so we have two possibilities.

The first one is, u destroy our ship AND the cargo ...

The second is you take our cargo but for that we want an agreement - The pirates will not attack a starfleet ship,  does not matter if freighter or any other class at any time in the future again, Mr. Casden.

so ... now u can choose.
If u take the first possibility, u won't have a long life anymore.

I would advice u to take the second ... u can come aboard the ship and take of the cargo what u want and we will part on good terms.

Lieutenant Malia, I will need your assistence extracting the access logs/lists. I have not the correct authorization, when it comes to the USS Lancelot's security databases.

I will need you to extract the data, and transfere it to a PADD. Look for any signs of manipulation of the data, if the intruders had access to the ship, it is logical that they might aswell, had access to the ships databases.

*comes careening into sickbay, having bumped into a few rushing ensigns and corridor corners on the way.  Moves quickly to the patient who appears to be most severely wounded, pulling out her tricorder.  Sets to work examining him...frowns, administers anesthesia...and moves to the next patient*  We don't have the resources to deal with these kinds of casualties!  Is the hologram online yet?  I need him functional, or we will lose more of these men....   *continues work on those patients with the best chance of survival*

Forcefield generator 12 and 19 are off-line but their to needed.
Main power is down on 4 decks.

We have just enough power to keep life-support, force fields and several other systems on-line.
We can repair the sensors but we don't have much power left in the generators.
We might get more power if we took all replicators off-line.

Report on your proceedings regarding the calculations.  The comet keeps coming closer and we will only have one possible attempt to divert the comet into another direction.  If we fail, it will have to be destroyed, which I hope we can avoid.

Lieutenant Malia, Unfortunately we do not have a CMO or any medical staff on board from my understanding, we are running on skelaton crew.

Is there anyone else here with some sort of medical training?
