Starfleet Record - Fleet Admiral James Madison
Cadet James Madison completes the academy in the field of Command/Strategic Operations. Leaving at the top of the class he began service on several ships. Beginning as a Command officer in the former Voyage Fleet.
Madisons interest in the Strategic OPs did not end at the academy. After being promoted to Admiral to co-command Voyage Fleet and then soon after bumped to Senior Admiral he formed a new department in Starfleet known as the SSF (Starfleet Special Forces) which began with the Defiant class Starship the SSF Hunter. This ship was commanded by Admiral Madison himself. The SSF was a part of the Nova Division when it faded. Madison as former command of Voyage Fleet which merged with Nova was welcomed as Co-Commanding Officer of Nova Division.
Admiral James Madison was promoted to Fleet Admiral at the dawn of this new job. The Nova Division was adopted as Expansion Fleet's Engineering Corps. and began the historic USS Excalibur Project. Later in the same year Fleet Admiral Madison along with Fleet Admiral Tom Hobson and Fleet Admiral William Karelia was promoted to High Command of Expansion Fleet.
Current:Admiral James Madison is serving as Chief of Frontier Division Operations. Accepting a temporary drop to the rank of Admiral until Nova Divisions return or further commendation. Admiral Madison also continues to serve on the Expansion Fleet High Command.

Promenade / Interceptor Conference
July 11, 2005, 03:03:27 AM
Fisher raised a brow.

"As i said, it is not open for debate. I have served in the Expansion Fleet much longer than you Admiral Bailey and i have never seen anyone lose by new regulations being adopted. I'm sorry if it will damage your ego. But watching CO's treat building starships as if its a matter of how much bigger can we get over the others is not something Starfleet Engineering smiles upon. As you have heard countless times, before your Greywolf Division became part, the USS Excalibur was named largest ship in the fleet. And as you have also heard, it was not ment to be undone. We did not realize so many others would create their own classes. And now at the mention of the finale people become upset. Technology is not what is being regulated Admiral, only size. And as i said before. Building a vessel larger than the Interceptor is simply not practical. It would no longer be safe, and could not be called a starship. And as CO of Engineering i must mark the limits as such."

We need to get the next mission for the Excalibur planned, something more close to hom than isolated like now. And the first mission for the Interceptor. Suggestions first off...

According to how its gone so far they are seperate from the empire. They want to get what the Kazon want to get and have assisted seperate. I didn't come up with the storyline, and don't know whats going to happen from now forward. I think only Ransom and Garhart know that.

News Announcements / Interceptor Project Under Way
June 13, 2005, 04:24:41 PM
A ship that will dwarf the Excalibur, the USS Interceptor is the newest creation of Starfleet Engineering at Nova Division. The ship is planned to be the largest in current Starfleet commission. Its primary function will be the exploration of space further than Expansions charters. Its size will enable it to go on lone voyages for more than 10 years without aid or re-supply. It will be a moving starbase. No further details have been worked out but a meeting called the Interceptor Conference is to be held at Deep Space 20/Freedom Station the center for Starship construction late this month or early next all starfleet officers interested are invited to attend this week long gathering to discuss design plans and other things for this massive ship. Any questions should be directed to Admiral Gary Fisher CO of Starfleet Engineering or Ft. Admirals Hobson or Madison.

Thanks,
Nova Command
