Tash enters his workshop and opens a footlocker. He removes several droid components and retrieves his tools. He begins working on a new droid.

After many days, his work is complete. The gray droid stands tall, and moves it's head about in bird-like jerks, surveying the room.

(OFF: Well, we're here, so let's just drop it.)

(OFF: I was assuming we beamed up with HK47, and that it was the ship that locked on to us.

But the Defense Grid isn't a shield, it's a network of plasma cannons positioned in a grid on the surface of the planet.)

"I assure you, Lady KHa'Var, we have no weapons. Aside from the droids, whose weapons are integrated. But I promise you, they are no threat to you."

Tash motions to a nearby officer. "Call off the interceptors, but leave the grid online."

He reopens communication for the second time. "Lady Kha'Var, I don't understand your suspicion. We offer you a chance to find your son, yet you refuse it. You would not last more than a few seconds were our defense grid to open fire on you, but I don't wish it to come to that. I assure you, we are not in consort with your son's abductors, but we do have the ambassador to the Evolution who may help track the whereabouts of your son."

Tash enters the main palace control center, where several officers are around to hear the threatening hail from the IKS Kahless.

"This is Representative Tash of the Delta Alliance Round Council. I have no idea of whom you speak, but you will deactivate your weapon systems immediately."

He turns to an officer behind him. "Ready the planetary defense grid, and raise force-shields around this building. Vector two defense ships to intercept the Kahless."

He turns back to the viewscreen. "I am sure we can work this out. Who is it you are looking for?"

(OFF: Oh, you're not getting away that easily...)

Tash and HK-50 dematerialized with HK-47, Spock, and Cloud.

"Mr. Spock, you have the best knowledge of the Evolution, correct? Perhaps you would be able to find it on long range scanners."

"Ahh, very good! This will help our search greatly!"

Tash reopens communication with the Kahless. "Lady KHa'Var, we have a lead as to the location of your son. Please allow us to join you, and we can be of assistance."

The face of Prime Minister Tash of the Traquel Directorate appears on the screen. "Ahh, Captains Sanchez and Taurik. It's nice to see you again, though I wish it were under better circumstances."

A Traquel ship drops out of warp and takes up a defensive posture alongside the Skytoucher.

"Greetings, this Chancellor Tash of the T.D.S. Requiem. How may we assist you?"

"Very well. I hate to involve you in our internal affairs, but the Queen will want to meet with you. I have instructed the catapult operators to send you to Nygea Delta, our political capital. We will be escorting you, as there are still some Torran loyalists who continue to prey on ships of those that opposed them."

Tash gave the captain an encouraging smile. "See you on the other side. Requiem out."

"Yes, yes, of course. I would join you in your rescue attempts, but I also have pressing matters to attend to. I'm sure you will handle the Borg fine. Tash out."

"There has been a schism within the Alliance Council. Certain elements wish to go to war with Starfleet, while other elements wish to preserve our relations with the Federation. I assume Mentora's mechinations are clear, as well as my own. If you have any questions, I can answer them, but we must make it brief."

"You don't understand, Mr. Spock. The Traquel have withdrawn from the Delta Alliance, and there will most likely be a war! And if I can't get home to my people and my fleets, that war will start with an attack on Starfleet led by the Delta Alliance!"
