Messages - Larial

"I find it interesting father." Stated Larial, smiling at Morgan.

Suddenly Larial stumbled and lost cognitive functions for a moment. Her Optical System Display (OSD) gave no warning, therefore Larial's subprocessor did not sense the problem before it occurred.

The moment passed and her Neural Net returned to normal operating procedure.

Larial attempted to run a diagnostic, but for some reason that function was not working, neither at the moment was her OSD.

"Then I shall do so." stated Larial.

Closing her eyes, Larial created a subspace link between herself and the Main Computer of the USS Rivendell.

Larial was now connected with the ships internal and external sensor grid. All in all the USS Rivendell was a superbly built vessel for humans, but there were certain alterations that would make the vessel more efficient. Also there were repairs that should be done to increase the vessels performance.

Larial opened her eyes and looked at Morgan.

"I have finished my scans, there are several micro-fractures on the hull that should be repaired. Three EPS conduits are working below normal operating specifications, they are in section 25, deck 5 and section 12, deck 2. The Main Computer Core's Operating System has several corrupted files. The external sensors are out of alignment by 0.023 microns. As to the efficiency of the vessel, the Warp Nacelles should be further apart than they are for a more efficient Warp Field generation and the Impulse Engines should be ion based."

Larial got up off the chair to allow her father to take his station back.

"But maybe that is just me."

Larial nodded, "As you wish father, but to do so I will have to interface with the ships sensors, do I have permission to do so?"

Larial had spent along time just standing still and listening to everything that was going on. During that time she became bored several times, so she began running through all her functions. In this, the built in help files were most helpful and by the time Morgan and T'lana left she finally knew everything she was capable of.

Returning her Neural Net to normal cognitive and motor functions, she became distressed that her creator was no longer in her vicinity. Looking around the room, she could not see staying her with them alone, so Larial chased after her creator.

Walking quickly into the Engineering Lab she went up to her creator and asked,

"Hello father, can I be of assistance?"

Larial was fascinated by the USS Rivendell which is only natural having never set foot onto a Starship before, having only been "born" a few weeks ago.

"This is quite amazing Father, T'lana and this must be the Captain."

Larial made her way up to the Command Chair and held out her hand.

"Na'Shaya Captain, I'm Larial, an android." Stated the beautiful blonde matter-of-factly.

If she hadn't stated what she was , no one could have known. She never acted robotic or showed any other signs of being Synthetic. Of course this was thanks to her creator's expertise and T'lana's mind-meld with her Positronic Neural Net.
