Mission 10: "Power of the Ancients"

[Dean Starwind]

*...Dean finished suiting up and grabbed a rifle and walked up to T'lana...*

"So whats the situation, Commander?"

[Taurik]

"It is good to see reinforcements, Commander, but I worry about the both of us being on one away mission. In any case, we have no time for that. We must secure the artifact, I can sense it. We must proceed, this way."

The team, on the upper tier of the open fighter bay, began to run to the other side, when a team of Heraani soldiers came from the door on the far side of the top floor.

[Taurik]

"Ahh, welcome, Ensign. We are soon to enter the Van'Gu Cluster, and I'm sure Lieutenant Jones could use your help modifying the sensors. Also, make sure to check in to Sickbay soon, so Doctor O'Neil can get your medical profile updated."

[Will Matthews]

"Tactical is fully ready Captain, I would say we're good to enter".

[Indiana Jones]

"It is pretty good so far, kind of reminds me of home, well the engineering area that is." Jones laughs a bit before his face turns serious.

"We are entering the Van'Gu Nebula, a nasty place where a ship could get lost very easily, last time we come in here, we got word of some kind of intruder and well... we never finished the mission." Jones if anyone knew him would be surprised at the expression on his face, a tint a fear was in his eyes.

[Will Matthews]

"I will be glad to help you find your way around Commander, it's not so large a ship to get lost in. but it can hold it's own. If you've never seen  a ship that can split into three parts for battle or evacuation, this thing may surprise you".

[Morgan Freeman]

Engineering begins dropping the probes in sequence making sure the linkage between them is stable and functioning normally.

[Ferando ONeil]

Shortly after returning the sickbay with the turn of shift the klaxons and lighting dims to red alert status.

[Morgan Freeman]

After a few moments working on the probes, Jones and Freeman have them ready to go.

Three type 4 probes are ready to launch at your command.

Morgan turns to Jones "Good work, lets see if we can't improve the accuracy of our targeting systems.  I have a feeling we are going to need it."

[Doctor Who]

"Indeed..."

The Doctor looked at his Translocator and touched a control, the main viewer zeroed in on a male Vulcan.

"This one is one of the reasons I am here, he is of the Order of Gallifrey and I am here to observe."

[T'lana]

"Acknowledged Captain."

T'lana programmed the Helm to go to where the sensors marked as an intense gravity flux.

The Kelata flew down to the gravity lift and hovered just above the interface platform.

T'lana made sure there was no troops in the area where they could be ambushed and beamed down Taurik's assault team.
After the Transport was complete T'lana set course for the USS Rivendell, where she had contacted the Bridge for a second assault team to be ready in two minutes.

Once the second assault team was on board and suited up, T'lana set course for the cruiser and hovered the Kelata just outside the Energy Barrier of the starboard, forward flight bay, that was just beyond the Gravity Lift.

T'lana kept the sensors on Taurik's team ready to pilot the Kelata into the flight bay once the Energy Barrier was set to receive ships.

[Dean Starwind]

"Yes, Sir!"

*...As the team ran down the tier Dean caught the Heerani team out of the corner of his eye. He points to them and shouts...*

"Enemy! Go Captain we will cover you!"

*...Dean shot his rifle up at the enemy grunts and soon his team begin to lay down a suppressive fire. Dean grabs a photon grenade from his side, pulls the ring, and throws it up above landing it right in the center of the enemy. It went off and a bright flash could be seen followed by Heerani soldiers flying in the air and crashing on the last level of the bay...*

[Indiana Jones]

Jones was sitting in on the meeting, but was waiting for a motion from the Captain to begin his debriefing, since he had been into the Van'Gu Nebula once before.

[Dean Starwind]

OOC: Hey guys, I am supposed to be filling in as your new XO but I am not sure when and when it will be a good time to jump in. So I will start posting tomarrow as soon I get the Ok and catch up on whats going on. =P

"Very well, then. Helm, take us in, one-half impulse."
