Close of certain areas of vital information to them and politely point out the reasons why.

A message from starfleet command has been recieved, notifying the Delta Allience of the assignment of a Romulan Starfleet Intelligence Commander and his small tactical fleet to its cause. The small tactical fleet of Romulan Birds of Prey are being assigned along with the commander, a Commander Rayvek, to observe and assist the Allience. His arival is expected in the next few days. Further information will be available soon.
