News Announcements / Hurricane Rita
September 21, 2005, 05:18:11 PM
Thank you, all.

I am leaving either tonight, or tomorrow morning and heading to Huntsville with my family to a friends place to ride this storm out. After that, I just hope my trailer is still there or I will be heading to Krivel bill ( I think I spelled ti right.)

It now a C4 Hurricane and I think it could reach C5 status before landfall now.

News Announcements / Hurricane Rita
September 20, 2005, 06:25:57 PM
I am bring this Breaking News story to you (members) about Hurricane Rits that was just upgraded to Cat. 1 Hurricane strenght.

Here is the current location of the hurricane.

http://www.osei.noaa.gov/IOD/OSEIiod.jpg" border="0">

What does mean to me.

I, Chris Blaisdell, amd in the direct line of sight for Hurricane Rita. The course layed out is for it to hit landfall somewhere on the Texas coast.

I live less then 100 miles in land from Houston, Texas which is a few miles south of Galvestion.

By this Friday, I will know where Hurricane Rita will be hitting. By this time too, Rita should be a Cat 4 before making landfall.

If it looks like it's going to hit Texas near Galveston or Clearpoint, then I will be gone heading north before it hits here.

So, if you hear about it hitting Texas and wiping out New Caney or Conroe then you know where I lived.

I going on LOA if it does hit.

The following below this line comes from NOAA.

News Announcements / Live on New Orleans; Live on!
September 01, 2005, 06:58:24 PM
It's not the Atlantis Ocean that is close to New Orleans.

New Orleans is surronded by Lake Tampanie to the North, Mississippi River on the East and Gulf of Mexico on the South.

Just to tell you how close this was to me, if Hurricane Katrina moves 40 miles more to the West, I would be feeling it's affects. I live 100 miles inland from Galvestion, Texas.

Houston Texas and the Astro dome is about 25 miles from where I live.
