U.S.S. Evolution / Mission 1: "The Fallen One"
November 11, 2006, 01:36:52 AM
Raszagal shifted slightly, and began to wake up.

"I... what...?"

Suddenly, she noticed she was being carried by Commander Harf, and threw herself out of his grasp. "Get off of me!" she yelled. By instinct, she moved to throw him into the bulkhead, but was shocked when nothing happened.

"What? No! What did he do to me? WHAT?" she cried, falling to her knees.

U.S.S. Evolution / Mission 3: "Time is of the Essence"
November 21, 2007, 09:01:43 PM
Knowing he was no real use to the bridge crew and himself while being there he decided to make a quick walk around the bridge before heading to the mess hall.

Mark glanced over Krenn's shoulder as he walked by, he raised an eyebrow- he was never good at all that technical operations and such, that's why he took the position of Security. But it did upset him slightly that if there were ever an emergency he would only be able to operate a few of the ship's many functions.

Heading towards the turbolift he adjusted the phaser in his holster and wondered if he would go back to the acadamy and maybe try to learn something more useful.

OOC: Just pimped out my signature :P

Engineering Department / Holo Emitters
April 25, 2002, 01:53:59 PM
Well I think it would be possible,
but have you spoken with admiral Vorak about this because Starfleet doesn't want that all ships have a holoemitter.

*walks to the back of the office and turned on the light and was suprised*

Wow I didn't knew y'all had a suprise for me, it's not my birthday or something.

*the Commodore though it were boxes of some sorth but when he got closer*

Oh no, these are tribbles, I know they are harmless and lovely but if they multiply this room is filled within the hour.

eh Commander I wanted to have a look in stock for that emitter but you can see I can't even reach it. And I think I have to ask for one, so I......

Those d*mn Tribbles

will put one on the supplylist, but only if Admiral Vorak agrees.

Tuarthk turns to Capatain Sanchez,'
Sir, I am returning to the ready room.  T'Pong and I are going to try to extend the shield on the ready room to encompase the front portion of the ship.  This should provide us some extra protection from any more incomming attacks.
Currently I have T'Pong working on the upgrades to the phaser array.  I would have her working on the Shields for the entire ship, but in this situation it would be most illogical.  It may have left us open to attack in the progress of installation.

He turns towards the ready room, and when he reaches the door, gives access code and DNA signature.  Then enters the Ready room, and begins working on the shield generator.

*While underway to main engineering, Lt. Hayes bumps into Commander Taurik again* Ahh commander, we meet again. ...

OFF: Might have problems posting the next two weeks, I've got exams =\ But I'll try to sneak in some post once in a while.

OFF Sorry for not being around, my computer is getting repaired if they finnish it I will be back more often.

ON. *Ftima is holding to her desk hoping not to fall, she hopes sickbay will remain as empty as it is, she is really worried about this journey, she hopes she will find Zayan and ofcourse Airis. She also worries about Nonir, it feels if his feelings are changed for her, maybe his last sickness, made him forget about them. But the first thing to worry about right now is being save.

OFF Hope to be back soon, dont forget youre granny http://www.expansionfleet.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

Space Anomaly Database / The Fluidic Gate
August 25, 2003, 10:57:11 PM
A fluidic gate is mainly known to be the entrance to, or from, fluidic space.  The only life form known to live there, is Species 8472, as Starfleet is already aware of.  It is believed that through fluidic gates, they travel to our universe.  A fluidic gate is therefore not the same as a wormhole or black hole, and its structure is quite different. The singularity that lies at the heart of the gate is a point in which space is infinitely curved in itself. It is stable while at rest.
When the gate starts to open, though, a delicate balance of energy is required to maintain the singularity and elarge it enough to let a ship come through without making it collapse. During the opening phase, the complex subspace field, that surrounds the singularity and makes it stable and imprevious to any attack attempt, has become fragile in some points. Neutrino emissions often indicate that some object or ship is attempting to cross the opened gate.

To close the fluidic gate, you must fire a coherent beam of gravitons from your deflector dish into one of the "holes" that appears in the field and make the singulatity collapse in itself, sealing the gate, though it is logical to assume that soon another one would be opened. It is important to say that the "holes" appear following a chaotic pattern, so it is only possible to predict the location of the next "hole" just seconds before it opens, and they stay open for a fraction of a second.
Also, this can only be attempted when the gate is opening or closing. If a ship comes through it, you will not be able to seal the gate until it enters this transitory state again, and there is a risk for the ship travelling through the gate.  If the energy configuration is not precise the ship may be destroyed instantly.

There is a very small possibility that the closing of the gate will cerate a subspace shockwave that might alter the Cochrane coefficient of this region and interfere with your warp capability, even rendering warp travel impossible in this area of space. Setting subspace beacons to emit a reversed subspace signal arround the gate, in case there is this subspace wave, should hold the shock wave to a very limited area of space that would have minimum effect on the development of the species on any nearby planet.
