The captain looks surprised at his first officer.

"Commander? What is that all about?"

Commander Burma, with all due respect, I am confused. First, you agreed to return the captured Loxians to their government. Then you granted them asylum. Now you believe they may be part of a conspiracy to take over our ship. Are you certain that you have fully recovered from your illness?

Will checked the panels.

"Communications through the bridge are offline Cmdr. We'll have to go down to Engineering."

[Rasmain]

*The Skytoucher fired upon the Loxian Government ships, with all the firepower she had. Though the Skytoucher was severly damaged it still had the power to produce some nice shots*

"All shots were a hit, sir. The Loxian ship is badly damaged. We still have the problem of the onboard Loxian soldiers, sir! They now have reached engineering and they will reach the bridge in several seconds."

*Rasmain begins to protect the designated structures*

"Two forcefields are in place, sir. They will only not last long, I rerouted energy from life-support, so we should try to take those soldiers out, quickly...or maybe our dear Loxian Captain has an other idea? Maybe telling your men to back off?" *Rasmain looked at the Loxian captain who was lying on the ground*

[Seldana Zax]

  Sel was completely puzzled about the Doctor.  How could a hologram be sick?  Was there even a way to treat him?

  CMO Zax tapped her badge again: "Engineering, please see if you can find out what is wrong with the EMH known as 'The Doctor'.  Please get back to me with an answer--if there is one--ASAP.  Commander Zax out."

  Off went Sel's badge.  She made a few adjustments to the bio-scan.  Her efforts were rewarded with very clear and very specific readings.  

   The readings Sel was getting now made her do a double-take.  There was odd activity in the Captain's brain.  Sel reactivated her badge.
   "Sir", Sel told Burma, "there is inexplicable activity in the Captain's brain.  I have narrowed it down to two possibilities: The Captain is either possessed--unlikely as it may seem--or some renegade Betazoid or other psionically powerful race is controlling him.

  Furthermore, our EMH--the Doctor--has been exhibiting symptoms of being afflicted by some kind of virus or other disease.  I have asked engineering to look into it.

  In the meantime, I will continue treating the Captain, hopefully achieving a desireable result.  Commander Zax out".  

(( OOC: Since Sel was never told that Burma is acting CO, she merely addresses him as "sir" instead of "Captain".))

[Event Horizon]

At that moment, a blinding white flash appears in front of the USS Skytoucher... The flash seems to spread endlessly, but then becomes consistent in front of the ship only, and in the middle a totally black gate seems to open... similar to a wormhole, targetting all its energy on the Skytoucher, to suck the ship inside the hole....

"I expect no less, and I have full trust that you are fully capable for this mission. Good luck, captain. Live long and prosper. Whenever you are ready, recall your crew and set out to the Loxian homeworld. I will be going back to the station now."
