The Moving of Avalon Station

"I didnt mean to eavesdrop I swear, but I have an idea on how we can move the station.  What you need to do is try to and either lower the density of the station.  Which means make the station lighter.  So I have 2 suggestions."

"1) Im not to sure but DS9 did it with the Cardasian station.  They used there shields to made the station lighter then they used there thrusters to move the station much faster.  Like a Balloon, or a bouncing ball full of helium.  We do the same thing.  May take a few weeks but it could cut it the time in half."

"2) We could use this.  Dr. Baphomet was working on it and im sure you all know what it is."

*Kassie figited for a few seconds but went and squeezed in next to Julian sense she felt safer near him then the others and activated a console to bring up a holographic projection and readouts for a Shift drive*

"I think its still in the experimental stages but I believe that we could use this drive to encompass the entire station sending it instantly from point A, which is here to point B, which is Dantor.  I been looking over the spec's as reading sense im the Rivendells Operations officer.  I know its not my field or my place to suggest but I felt I had too."

*Kassie stood there near Julian just waiting for her ideas to be shot down and started to play with her PADD she had, while trying not to show her Anxiety over being surrounded bye her superiors*

=^= Kassie to Ops and Archer, we are doing an emergency drop out of warp.  I repeat this is an emergency drop out, this may be a lil rough ride.  Get Medics to Manns location immediately, shields are failing, power is being lost somewhere.  I repeat we are exiting warp NOW!.  <Pushes a few buttons on the propulsion panel as the station drops out of warp and containment fields are errected>, Ops, we are safely out of warp.  Damn it, I suggest we do a complete diagnostics and get mann to the medical bay ASAP.  He went to try and fix a shield array problem and his comm cut out.  The area he was working on is safe now and its contained.  I believe we may have to stay longer at impulse then originally expected.  Ill beam him to the medical bay."

*The entire station shook unexpectedly as they exited the warp field*

*Archer received the distorted message from Mann and tried to make sense of it. He couldn't...*

*It seemed like a transmission was coming in, but all that could be heard was static...*

Mr Hudson lets talk about it in the Celtic Corner. ok i have to do some paperwork and stuff so i'll be down there later, once again good work all of you, i'll give you all permission to take the rest of the day off. *and with that Vice-Admiral Julian walks into the CO office and starts on finishing his work*

Karelia turns back to the monitor. "So, I still can't imagine how we could move the station. Perhaps the Delta Alliance could help us with their null space technology."

Lurado entered operations, and found who appeared to be the commanding officer for the time.
"Captain Fred Lurado, just arriving again on the station. I am currently unassigned, is there anything I can provide on the station?".

"I am Commander Mark Jarret. Recently transferred from another station in the Delta Quadrant. I am interested in a security position on this starbase. If I may speak with a commanding officer about one"

Sir, a Couple of things I can bring to the Table  I have 175 top of the Line Fighters stationed on the Windsor with a slight modfication we can incert tractor beams also the Windsor has two Warp Cores to Power her

"Moving the station through null space would prove an interesting solution, but also a rather risky one. Travelling through null space puts alot of restraint on the vessel, and therefore makes it a... rough ride, as you humans would call it. Starships are built to be able to do this, but a station like this unfortunately does not. The engines in the station are strong enough to move the entire station, but only at a very slow speed, which means it would take several months for it to reach Dantor. However, my proposal is the use of the tractor beam of several ships simultaneously. According to my calculations, the move of the station with the help of the tractor beam of 5 ships would take about one week. Ten ships would take 2 to 3 days."
