Mr Alf, the domes seem fully intact, i'm reading a lot of lifesigns in there, hard to pinoint how many exactly because of interferance from the mountains minerals. I can start beaming you all to the dome entrance when your ready.

"Hmmmmmm, 5 domes you say ?, I would estimate that an ecology of pure farmers with almost no military, would carry around 4,000 population unless they had an illness which wiped most of them out.  A stable ecology would support well over 500 population unless somehow they evolved to a military based society and only use weapons as a line of defense only, tho all of our domes have security protocols installed into the domes so in essense acts as a self aware entity, much like the Avatar.  All domes have micro-machine technology as a form of defense, so it is possible." he voiced his thoughts.

Ok everything looks fine. Because your the same species should the security see that and shutdown?

If not would could simply beam drectly outside the bunker?

"It is not understood Admiral, but I don't think that matters. I could yell louder and louder, yet I get the feeling nobody is listening, just moving their mouth in response. Do we have any medical needs down here for now?".

Don't worry Alf they the other 4500 might have been reactivated? and then shutdown. Thats if it wasnt sabotage. Maybe they created another dome like the one you we have back in the city?

Mr Coho, this place is a bunker containing quite a few pods of Mr Alfs species. The reactor powering the pods is failing. we dont know the condition of the people in the pods.

Alf reactivate the pods. Here have this *passes Alf a starfleet issue communitcator* this is to communacate with anyone of us within range. *shows Alf how to use it.*

Im going to goto the active pods. Ensign Coho your with me.

*heads to the pods*

*arrives at the pod area*

Well nothing seems to be out of place. It looks like the inactive pods have been released. noone's in them. It looks like they might have relocated. the active ones seem to be losing power. It looks like they are having trouble breathing.

*suddenly red lights start appearing on some of the pods.

Alf reactivate the pods now! its looks like they are beggining to die!

Mr Coho have your team ready.

I suggest, instead of going straight to the reactor, go straight to the main control room for the pods, and use the last of the power to activate all the pods, then we can relocate them to the dome where the rest of your kind are at the moment.

If we go straight to the reactor, theres no garuntee we can fix it, and it would be wasting time trying.

Coho snapped the tricorder shut loudly with distinct irritation.

"Wrong. I am now asking you if your species, or race, has any known diesease. Which was what I asked before you changed it to a statement. Now do you want to answer my questions? Or would you care to continue feeding on the conflict that you seem to so desire to create?".

I very much doubt there is a contamination threat here. The Melmacians look after themselves very well. From what information i've learned so far, they thrive on learning new things on how to preserve themselves. Im sure disease is somthing they do not have to worry about.

And Mr Coho, i do ask that you watch the way your talking to Mr Alf. I wouldn't want you to say something that would jeapordise our newly formed treaty, and im sure that you would not like that either, would you ensign?

<Control Room>

"Hmmmmm, now lets see." he said dusting off the controlls for the pods. "Oh no, these 5k pods in this one but only 500 of them are still active.  Somehow someone or something transfered power from the other pods to maintain those 500.  Oh this is bad." he said sobbing. "The other 4500 pods were deactivated, not sure if it was because of the pass of time or someone did this on purpose.  Hmmmmm, it says here that the library contents for this bunker were removed and placed at another bunker.  Dont worry, if the bunker was compromised then the family who were at this one shifted power to the those 500 to maintain them because the others couldnt be maintained.  Its possible that there was some sort of malfunction.  Hmmmmm, it seems thats what went on.  They must have had no other choice but to do it.  We can reactivate them at any time." he said joyfully.
